Coin slot is a site designed to give away Bitcoins in exchange for completing ad offers.

Paying for a service; not free.

umm Dailybitcoins and Coinads isn't free then ? as an advertiser you pay for impressions or  pay for people to visit your site to win prizes ?

It does not matter, I feel, who is giving the bitcoins away but whether the receiver is asked to actively do something to get them.
Being exposed to advertising by going to their sites I do not feel is too much to ask... others may disagree and may not feel it is worth
it.  They can choose to leave the site right away.

I'm just pointing out that you do get free bitcoins since that was the point of this post if I'm right ?

If there are any conditions then it is not free.
If you say something like this, "Here have some bitcoins...", then those bitcoins are free,
unless you add something like, "... if you do this..." to the sentence, then those bitcoins
are not free. You are asking the other person to enter into a contract with you to provide
a service.

Myself I think that giving bitcoins away just for loading a page and then inputting your bitcoin
address is okay, like with dailybitcoins.com. Also I think that requiring one to get some kind of
membership before getting any bitcoins is okay, as with the bitcoin faucet which requires one
to have a google account, to keep people from abusing the system. As long as membership
is free and does not have a bunch of conditions attached.

I fully understand   Smiley I'm not saying include it  I'm just pointing out that you do get free bitcoins since that was the point of this post if I'm right ?  I was merely stating counter-facts to some points that weren't valid.

As for  the question are they doing something they enjoy - I don't know how you can determine it but ok!

Seals has a free poker tournament every hour with a .05BTC prize. There are larger free tournaments from time to time.

I am not too familiar with your site. Could you answer a few questions please?

When you say a "free tournament", what does that mean?
Does that mean there is no entry fee?
Does it require member/players to risk their own money?
Is membership at your site free?
Are bitcoins/chips given for free to allow people to play in those tournaments?
Are players allowed to withdraw all their winnings afterward with no conditions?

Thank you.

Also, you can read bitcoin related e-mails for free bitcoins!

http://www.bitcoinbetas.com

I wouldn't consider that free. You are paying for a service.

You are free to provide this suggestion here for everyone to consider but I don't think it is worthy for inclusion in the OP.
Others are of course free to give their opinions.

What is that you pay then ? of course its free!! as in you get paid in bitcoins for reading ??

by that logic, whenever you pay for a service, the service provider is getting FREE money!

Advertisers are paying for all the services mentioned above so by your logic it isn't free.

It probably comes down to questions such as:
Are they doing something they enjoy doing?
Are they performing a service for you or another?
Are they doing something they would do themselves if they weren't being given bitcoins?

Different people may have different opinions. Myself I don't think FeedZeBirds qualifies either since they are asking for one to perform the service
of retweeting advertising. Some may find that is so easy, and maybe even fun and/or fulfilling, that getting bitcoin for that service is as good as free,
but another may find it a waste of time and may not like sending, what they consider spam, to all their followers. They may even end up losing
some followers because of it.

Hey does anyone want to come over and help me build an addition on to my home? I will give you "free" bitcoins if you do.   Cheesy

That isn't free, you are paying bitcoins for people to do something for you. And I agree shouldn't be in the OP.

Uhhh its not different then any of the services mentioned above. They are saying "do something" and get bitcoins.  How is any it different?

Good point, payb.tc -- as long as "free" means making no purchases - I could use people to find me good prices on certain items... https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.819614
