there are many ways to get ideas for investment, you can google it but you get vast knowledge about altcoins at this forum as this forum is dedicated to crypto currencies and many seniors here to guide you. you get the latest and updated info here for approx. every altcoin.

Yes that's right, I learn everything from trading through researching from google and watching in youtube, But not exactly everything, As you explore the threads in this forum some of the professional traders are posting their different experience on trading and you can also learn from it. Just read the comments in different threads and answer some of the questions, Its just like exchanging information.
even this forum is the best place to study about bitcoin. a also get information about the market from my friends who have really good experience in trading because they have spend a lot of time in trading altcoin and therefore now they have good experience to given correct analysis about bitcoin .

The forum is full of very experienced people, but there are fudders and scammers too. So getting ideas from this forum might be riskful. You can try to follow some traders' tweets and analysis, this will give you important perspective for your trade.

Three brief questions:

a.) Do you merely follow your own ideas?

b.) Do you follow some pundits?

c.) Who are these pundits?

--------------------------

I do trust my own knowledge in linkage with the information posted / written / said by reliable persons such as Fred Ehrsam, Linda Xie, Naval Ravikant, Gav Would, Joseph Poon...

All the best

B.D.

a. Most of the time yes but not necessarilly especially if you're just a beginner, you'll mostly do basic strategies that most people do and that is not yours of course.

b. Sometimes but not all info that i get. i mostly follow guides not signals. the trick is extracting the essential part on someones guides and combining them

c. those people are anonymous and you can easily find them on forums like this. their identity is not that necessary in my opinion, its the content they'd produce

Ideas for investment, i usually spend time reading on threads, and testimony's from my friends exposed for investing bitcoins.. Sound's great to hear from them because it formulates me another way to gain a good profit.. All day i want to be like them and i'm picturing them back from the beginning of their career in bitcoins are something a regular individual.. but now they are totally floating in a luxurious way of living.. I will second you. Investing in Crypto Currencies and that too in present age is something highly appreciated by the ones who are already into it. But still you can get many different sort of ideas by meeting and discussing with different people who are running their own business. They can certainly guide you in a best manner.

Well, let me tell you my story. I used to follow other's opinion while trading and lost my 100% capital most of the time in my early days of trading and investing so since then I decided to go with trial and error method.

I do search for the opinions and read the experience of the other traders but never copy them. I try to figure out various strategies by doing actual trades/investments in the smaller amount initially and then I increase the volume depending on the results. While talking about the idea, I would say I keep reading as much as I can and some news really makes me research about something.

Good to know that you have your friends to teach and back you up. I am just reading about investments here in this forum and on other sites but of course, someone's personal experience is a better reference plus the fact that it is your friend's experience. You are also able to personally asked them about it which is way better than trying to understand what you are reading. I guess I totally sound envious now but honestly I am. How I wish I have friends like yours but still I am also grateful that I was able to learn things here with a little help from other people whom I was also thankful.
i think number of ways there to learn about bitcoin investment and the best time to invest or to sell your bitcoin. i think by studying the market on regular bases one can in fact find out about the best time to invest money there or to sell it. you can also get good information about the market through internet and from your good and experienced friends.

Basically used to follow some friends and fellow investors to learn and gather their experience. Some peoples ideas did really helped me.
Currently I do my own research, and for few investments, I still seek advise from them. Now there are also various good news portal, which gives sufficient information and updates which is a great way to help myself pick my own investment option.

Just follow my experience and also the price chart. We know experience is the best teacher and chart is analyze, meaning another way to make decisions. When experience says " yes ", I see the chart, try to find buy and sell area. After that just manage my money and start trading. More practice makes a good experience, you should try it. Thank you.

Everything I do is based on my own research. Back in the days I had no one telling me what Bitcoin was or how it was working exactly - I had to figure it out all myself. In the same way, that goes up for trading this market as well. That however doesn't mean I don't like to read how others approach this market, set up their analysis, what their idiology is in crypto terms, etc. Funny thing is that as long term trader in this market, you automatically become more conservative since you have experienced all kinds of crashes, corrections, hacks, etc, but yet the 'rookies' with their over-enthusiastic-bullishness have been the ones with a more accurate prediction than all of those traders trying to properly analyse the market. This just shows that in some cases being too strict with your analysis doesn't always help you move forward as much as you were hoping for.

I start by reading and following other successful people for some time to see what they are getting and how is their investment going. After that I read as much information as possible. After that I carefully watch the market for some time to see how it's going. Finally I begin with small investment and continue increasing them if they get profitable. If I found the small investment bearing losses then I wont go with big investment before reading more and more. Always trust yourself but do follow the experts at the field as they will really help you some way better then you can.

Most self-proclaimed experts can be found on those on fake pump-dump groups so it's really hard to get ideas from the real experts. Most of these real experts don't give call or signals but only chart interpretations but I still consider it an idea.

As of this moment I strictly have a "crypto-only" investment rule since the boom of alts and bitcoins. I spend an ample amount of time reading some ANNs of alts that could be promising and might make it big like their big brother ETH and the likes.

Though I'm still invested into some local stocks, I'm long into bitcoin and alts and have majority of my money in them atm.

And I'm not really following some other investors closely. I might find a gem or two in their advices but blindly following others for your money is just straight up absurd.

I feel that putting your money on other people's ideas defeats the purpose of investing and it's a good way to lose. Plus, you don't take accountability and responsibility for your investment so that if it fails, you blame something other than yourself (your own lack of research)

I do pay attention to what certain people think and try to curate that list of people so that I'm not listening to hogwash. But I give weight to my own due diligence above anyone else's!

Actually I got the ideas from this forum and a group I've joined about cryptocurrencies and what is the best thing to do if you have a capital and wanted to invest in certain coins for long term and honestly I was lucky to join that group and was able to profit from the coins I've invested. I never regretted the decision I made when I followed their advices and of course I followed my instincts too.
This forum is really a very great way of learning that how to invest and where to invest and what are the tricks to invest and earn a good profit. Here are a lot of people who are much expert in giving great ideas to earn great profits. Along with that I am also getting my own ideas to remain secured.
Right, because i am also a hardworking man and learn investing, trading and gambling with all myself and now i am focusing in trading and other investments. This forum is really a big help i keep on learning by reading and applying that stratedgies or good suggestions that they said.
