probably moon i guess  Wink

may this thin happen true, satoshi himself said that in 2020 there will a large amount of BTC transaction or there will be no transaction. So hopefully there will A large amount of btc transaction. I think in 202 BTC will be at more than 1000+ per BTC

Just because Satoshi said it doesn't mean it's going to be 100% true. He may be a genius but he's not a psychic being who can read the future.

It was 20 years, no? And by that point the block reward will be so low that there'll have to be enough interest and transactions to keep the whole thing chugging along. If there isn't then transactions will probably be nil.

That's pragmatism rather than crystal ballness.

Actually if you are a miner then you better know's the reality as compare to a normal BTC user, BTC will definitely hit up to $1000 by the mid of the next year means about Apri, to May and will stay tuned for few months between $800 to $1000 plus and after few months it could get stable rate on about $600 plus for sure, because BTC Mining BlockChain is gonna get half in about June or July 2016...So the same effort will be requires for half of the blockchain rewards, Which means now each solved block contains only 25BTC while after getting block reward half which is going to turn half in upcoming June or July as it's happens after every 4 years so the there will be only 12.5BTC, So it's quite simple if the reward get half then it's price is gonna rise upto double for 100% but most probably it's gonna hit $1000 for few months.

I think it will go above $1000 and beyond probably not this year. I think we'll only see 3 digit figures in 2015, but it will recover. If you think about it the november 2013 price spike is really interesting because it proves that bitcoin's value can surpass $1,000 per coin. It was just premature. But I think within the next 2 to 3 years or so we will see prices over $1,000 and this time it will stay there because it will be natural growth not a bubble like the last one.

I think bitcoin will be around 1000$ but with many UP and DOWN prices

Your prediction is based on any theory or just think it may reach that price?  I think it may be around 500+, it is just my prediction.

Someone please build a time machine, travel to 2020 and get a snapshot of bitstamp or bitcoinaverage. Then get back and upload the snapshot here.  Grin

P.S: Also, while you're at it, check if I'm alive or not in that year.  Cool

Not only the price, but the whole bitcoin price chart between now and then (across all major exchanges, of course). I'm confident one could increase their money one hundred fold with that information.

for me the max will be around 1000$, at this point lot of people will sell their btcs and the price will dump again

My guess is also in the $1000 range. So many people are ready to sell which will make it very difficult to regain that level.

as far as the price goes, i think lots of people have to lower their expectations. my guess for the price in 2020 will be around $1500 per coin, which sounds quite reasonable.

Move On !!!!!!
It can be pretty much everywhere, it can be at the top as the absolute winner but also there are small chances that Bitcoin won't take off. Prediction is impossible since nobody really knows nothing so all the bunch of answers her will be that we will be at the moon, while really nobody knows!

So as a real bitcointalk optimist, I will say that I expect Bitcoin's price will be around $5,000 in 2020. Smiley

I think in 2020 the price of Bitcoin will be around 400-600 $.That peak price was because of tight control over the supply and now as more and more people are adopting using it its price are not increasing constantly but increasing it use instead.

voted 1 bitcoin = 100 because it doesn't say the currency..

Ha! I've just voted "1" for the same reason. Pretty much a certainty that 1 BTC will be worth 1 BTC in 2020, whatever happens.
