Well I think the best answer is New York, based on Bitcoin Center NYC that was founded by Nick Spanos in 2013 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin_Center_NYC

Oh nice, forget about Bitcoin Center in NYC, they have a nice place: http://www.coindesk.com/inside-new-yorks-bitcoin-centre/

The next is Australia Grin
About Australia, I'm not sure it could be a bitcoin center in the world although its government have stated that they began to admit bitcoin. Maybe australia is a bitcoin center for Asia Pacific regions only  Cheesy

Just curious why no one said Liberland  Grin

I was preceded by you Cheesy

Cheesy
But although wikipedia is stating in liberland page that the country was founded to make people there can prosper with minimal state regulations and taxes, wikipedia dont include any word of "bitcoin" in that page Undecided

Currently, Arnhem in The Netherlands is the Bitcoin Capital in the world.

This is interesting, do you have any understanding of how adoption and use became so high? It's great to see that map with so many places that accept bitcoin and with such variety - grocery stores, cafes, shops - really impressive! Do you live in this area?

I think a bitcoin capital needs to embrace its use but also drive innovation and business that's pushing the use further down the road. For me, Silicon Valley (the original center of technology) is a location that needs to be considered as a center or hub of activity. But I'll concede that Bitcoin may still be too new to have any single location to call "home".

Would be great to know what drove adoption of Bitcoin in Arnhem! Other cities and areas could learn from it and build a viable Bitcoin ecosystem themselves

yes, where is the center of this decentralized network?

Yes. Bitcoin is global and decentralized. There is and never will be a center other than the center of the Earth.

I agree with your opinion, because bitcoin is not as dollar circulation is regulated by the government.

According to me, it is Paris.
Because approximately every shop there accepts bitcoins and we would have not to convert our cash into other currency.
And even customs cannot see that how much money we have brought with us.

I don't understand why everybody says New York is the Bitcoin Capital in the world... I personally think its wrong.
There are a lot of cities that can be considered has the BTC city coin.

Take as an example several countries whose Bitcoin industry is growing at full steam, Spain, Brazil, China.

This year Brazil has been the country who had the biggest growth in the industry...

In my opinion there is no Bitcoin city but a lot of places where we have a lot of bitcoin action!

Australia will be the new financial hub and business center for Bitcoin in near future. The are taking quick and effective steps to regularize Bitcoin in their economy after recent legislation adopted by Australian Gov in which the recognized Bitcoin as currency.

I have been to Australia twice and love it there!

I agree, it's much better to regularize btc than to regulate it!

I think World's Bitcoin center will be in London (UK).Although New York has already introduced BitLicense and some regulations about Bitcoin but this time new financial hub of Bitcoin will be in Europe.

With China accounting for 80% of it all trading volume, and Huobi leading the way, how could someone think anywhere else on the globe is the "Bitcoin Capitol of the world"?

china will only get more involved in bitcoin than it already is. so it's fair to say that china is the most important place as far as bitcoin goes.

The traditional idea to have all financial institutions in one place, does not apply to Bitcoin in my opinion. Bitcoin for me is more a technology than a currency and I think it would be better to keep it close to the

people driving the innovation and the development in that scene. New York have closed it's doors to the Bitcoin community, so why do they need to benefit from it's growth and innovation?

I would go with Possum577 with his suggestion, to have it in Silicon Valley for the USA and also something similar for the other countries which was Bitcoin-friendly. Let's go where we are wanted, not where

people want to profit from our technology and at the same time push us down.  Angry

Move On !!!!!!
There is no doubt that New York is recognized as the world’s finance center with Wall Street signifying the powerful financial markets of the United States. However, New York has just enacted a virtual currencies regulatory framework, namely New York State BitLicense, which forced many bitcoin business to leave the state, including top exchanges as Bitfinex and Kraken.

Where do you think will be the center of bitcoin business? Will it be in America, Asia or Europe?

Well NY screw it up big time in my opinion. This was another great chance for them but oh well. After this, I would be afraid to stay in US. Asia is also questionable, we all see what's been happening in China but maybe Hong Kong if it's not too much under jurisdiction of the mainland or even Singapore.

But the best in my opinion would be to concentrate on Europe and Amsterdam in my opinion. This would be a great choice, city and a country very open to new things is what we need.

Yes. Bitcoin is global and decentralized. There is and never will be a center other than the center of the Earth.

thinking about this for a bit, in the remote case, a very distant future with a good colonization, bitcoin may be seen as a centralized from other population that live in other planets, at least at first, before that enough satellites are deployed to redirect internet all over the other worlds

in this sense bitcoin will be centralized for a good amount of time
