There are over 200 moons out there in the Solar System so instead of picking another galaxy maybe there is a farther moon to consider.  The 'to the moon' phrase was coined so well that 'to Andromeda' sounds some what unfit.

Or, we can go from one moon to another!

The phrase is to the moon. "The" implies we have reached a consensus on which moon is "the" moon. And we all know the best moon in the universe is ours. Therefore we are talking about the earth's moon (best moon).

Assuming that 1 dollar = 1 km, then the moon should be at 384400 USDT/BTC.
That is, unless it is calculated in miles.  Then the answer is much more disappointing, being under 250 000 Dollars.

If we are going to use nonsense units then we might as well measure in sporks.  Roll Eyes

Edit: After reading replies to this post, I realized that BTC has not reached the moon yet, as the Peregrin 1 lander suffered what ground controllers call ''a failure within the propulsion system''.

And another angle we should look the means of bitcoin getting to the moon is that price that has mostly been anticipated especially that particular price the critics has always speculated that bitcoin would be unable to achieve such as the $100,000 the market has previously surpassed.
Other phases to be considered is based on individual expectations according to that ratio that is to make us proficiently proud about our holdings.
As the trend flows I'd just initiate my own slogan without following the crowd because as our portfolios differs so also is our expectations and of course we've different prediction but all focused on grate achievements.
So apparently hitting that felt maximum price is likely to be your moon just as the long term expectation of bitcoin to reach $100,000

i looked it up and it seems that PEREGRN-1 was unable to complete its lunar landing due to a propellant leak, it would have been much cool if they managed to leave the physical coin on the moon Undecided
Thanks a lot for providing such crucial information.
Yeah, even I feel somewhat disappointed, but at least we (humans) tried and that is all what matters. You have to do your job sincerely and leave everything else to their fate. I mean, there are a million variables in any space mission and anything can go wrong.
I have updated the OP after reading your comment.

The metaphor will be various writings of course but if it is written by someone who has a role in the crypto ecosystem of course it will quickly go viral and will always be mentioned over and over again. I take what I need to take for all the progress and development of BTC price movements to date which have been able to change the expectations of many people. BTC is the digital gold today and is worth considering and investing in the future and it is not impossible that the price will be 2 times higher in the future.

There are a lot of moons in the sky so even when you actually get to the moon we look up at the sky looking forward to a new moon, this is true for Bitcoin every time we reach a new peak we hope to reach a higher peak.

So I think this term "to the moon" is a beautiful term for Bitcoin, even if we previously thought that the moon for the price of Bitcoin was at $100K, now we are looking forward to a new moon at a price of $1 million and after that there will be a new moon as well.

Bitcoin to the Sun ☀️

Sun is closer to moon and Sun has a similar appearance like Bitcoin, it's round and the color is a combination of yellow and orange. So, Bitcoin to the sun is more make sense compared to Bitcoin to Andromeda, reaching Andromeda is like when Bitcoin price can't be written anymore.

BTC going to the moon in my opinion, just mean BTC breaking new ATH and expect that every cycle the target will be set higher than the previous one, just like how right now after reaching $100k people are having another target which is $200k.
this symbolism will not stop at just $100k, even many people are bullish with BTC and thinks it will reach $1m each at some point and that's what they call BTC going to the moon.
but from the perspective of average people, it's when it rallies that BTC is called going to the moon.

There's no definite price to where to moon really is
As long as we bullish and rising then Bitcoin is heading to the Moon.
Even in $1M per bitcoin people are still going to scream to the moon.
$100K isn't the moon, No price is the moon
As long we expecting a significant rise then we heading to the moon.
I understand we are just playing with words and numbers but I would put a number to the moon idea, and that number would e $1,000,000. The simple idea that there is the possibility that one day one bitcoin could be worth one million dollars for me is just mind-blowing. I remember the first time we reached $10k, and few months ago $100k, they are great results but $1 mln would be a totally different story.

The "moon" is moving in the case of Bitcoin. Once upon a time the moon was $1 and after it was reached, the moon moved further away to $10 and continued going up Cheesy
Right now I'd say the moon is at $1 million and hopefully we can reach it during this cycle and maybe in a year.

Same opinion here. The moon represents a target. If it's reached, another target comes up. That's the moon. $100,000 has retired from being the moon. It's already here. It isn't up there anymore.

$1 million is indeed the new moon. We're on our way there. $200,000, $350,000, $600,000, and the rest of them 6 figures are small celestial bodies we'll just pass by. Grin

So now IMO when we have achieved both figurative and literal essence of, 'BTC to MOON' I think we should come up with a new slang. Like Bitcoin to the Andromeda ! Grin
It's not as easy to say "Andromeda" as it is to simply say "Moon"... Such things need to be simple and short.

And many plebs actually don't know what Andromeda is. When Andromeda? When what? When moon, you mean?

In my opinion, the moon is where the price is higher than the current price. Let's say the price is at $40k then many people say that they believe that bitcoin will go to moon which the moons represent to new price like reaching to $80k. In this case, the moon is actually $100k and the next moon will be different depending on how the next bull run will happen. If the price starts from $100k then the moon will be the higher price of the current price. This is the same as when "lambo" in my opinion.

It's just a slang phrase commonly used by the Bitcoin community who expect the price of Bitcoin to skyrocket as if "heading for the moon." These are all just expressions and no one can say for sure to what point Bitcoin can be said to have reached the moon that they mean, because no one can explain it - they just say that it's going to the moon and that's it. And besides that, there are also many other slang phrases used by the Bitcoin community to express their optimism about the development of the Bitcoin world.

Bullrun, bear, bearish, moon and beyond.. These are known terms that the community indeed gets used to say in every discussion in any subject related to Bitcoin price and even in the others cryptocurrencies.
It is not about the distance to the moon or neptune but the price skyrocketed to a very good level each time.

Yeah! Where exactly the Moon is if not at $100k?.
We have been using this slang for quite a time and I understand that it carries a symbolism, but still I think it is high time that we should come up with some updated slang Grin.
I mean, it has been one whole year since BTC has literally reached the moon. Yeah! Exactly one year back, a private key engraved on a 43 gram physical coin with a public address — 1MoonBTCixFH3XTrWRCbMpK23o74nQrA1Q — has already reached the moon as a first ever extraterritorial financial asset.
So now IMO when we have achieved both figurative and literal essence of, 'BTC to MOON' I think we should come up with a new slang. Like Bitcoin to the Andromeda ! Grin
Let me know what you think of it and suggest some new slang.

The term "to the moon" seems more comfortable to say, and I see this term more often in various crypto communities. Basically, this term is used when a coin experiences an increase and with the hope that it will experience a further increase, so this term is used. For me Personally, I still prefer on this term, that's why I still say and stand by "Bitcoin to the Moon!".

Yeah! Where exactly the Moon is if not at $100k?.
Is $100k the end? No. Many crypto enthusiasts are still expecting for the prices go beyond $100k. For me the moon will keep being farther and farther away the more we get close to it. Since $100k is now achieved, $200k is now the moon.

A slang needs to be naturally made. I don’t think anyone trying to purposefully make one will actually end up popularizing it.

Wow, I never knew about this project and thanks to you for this post, I got to know we actually have a bitcoin on the moon.
Howcome I could have missed this, I'm feeling guilty about this. I already have the next thing in my mind.
The next sland could be "Bitcoin Flying Far" or BFF in short and we can then literally send a bitcoin to the outer space.
So that it keeps flying far away in the hope that some enterprising soul goes to collect it.

You can call it in slang phrase that anything you want in your own when the Bitcoin price goes up.
But commonly, in crypto community, "to the moon" is pretty common.

Aside from to the moon, we have;
-lambo
-skyrocket
-bull run
-surge
-rocketing
-going parabolic

Now, if you add this slang phrase, it might be possible, but we can't blame the community that still use the common slang phrase, "to the moon".

It's just the way it was since the dawn of time.
Wink So it's okay to see all of these and even more.

I think people have underestimated how far away the Earth's moon actually is, and if we compare that to the price of Bitcoin reaching an equally distant ‘target’, then I'd say Bitcoin's moon is:

Assuming that 1 dollar = 1 km, then the moon should be at 384400 USDT/BTC.

Mars is about 142.2x further away (taking into account the shortest distance from Earth on its elliptical orbit)

Mars should therefore be valued at 54.6 million USD.

For the sake of visually pleasing numbers lets round that up/down.

Moon = $400K USD
Mars =  $50 Million USD
