It like a girl, you run to her, she runs away. But when you pay no attention to her, she cares about you.

It is indeed possible that as you said, when you are looking for merit, it may be difficult to find.
But when you feel that the merits are dispensable, and you don't pay much attention, maybe you will write some messages with your heart. Maybe the merits come at this time.
I also need merits, but I do not want to force it now.

First you need to avoid question mark topic. Just now I have visited your post history, it's look most of post are spam. No useful topic on your history. Your post are not deserve merit. Many topic here how to earn merit. Before posting use search button like common issue. Improve your post behavior in order to earn merit. Please lock this topic to avoid spam. I think you already got your answer.

Merits are the hardest thing to get in the forum, much harder than money from bounties, campaigns, and knowledge, skills, etc.
You can make constructive threads, but only some of them can get merits.

So, I think it's time for you to lock the topics because there are dozens of recommendations before my thread, and there is no way to get merits easily.

Nowhere! Merit point is not just a single feature of this forum but a parameter to determine the quality of the contribution from the member. If you are looking to acquire merit points then the best way is to share your knowledge in a best possible way so that the other members will give you merit points as a sense of appreciation for your contribution to the forum. Make sure that you are not getting involved in any illegitimate activity while looking for merit points.

There is no shortcut. You actually have to be a contributing member, who helps others with insightful and thoughtful posts. You can always buy an account from scammers, but i would not recommend that.

I wonder if I give someone a merit, will my merit be lost? If I originally had 100 merit and was full member after giving merit, my rank would be lowered
Hey,
What I found is you joined the forum since May 29, 2017, 04:08:00 AM, about six months before the launch of merit system and new rank requirements.
And by now, around another six months after the launch day of those twos, you asked such basic question.  Huh
I think merit system has performed well to keep members like you stucked at lower ranks.

Anyway, I give you link to essential topic on merit system, which started by Theymos, and you should get the information you need by scanning the topic by yourself.
But, I guess you might not read it.

There is no easy place, it is not easy to answer your question and there is no right answer except the answers from those who actually get the merit purely from among users (not from the system or between alt accounts). And the most basic is at least you have read the merit system rules before you ask this question. And for the next you can explore the entire board in this forum, I think there are many guidelines to get merit easily according to them.

Even if I tried to contribute answers and suggestions in other topics, it is very hard to gain merit. Which topics require quality answers and comments while people really willing to give out merit?
Well be patient about it and if you really contribute to the well being of this community someone will be generous enough to give it to you.

There is no place to get merits easily. You can get merits if you make constructive posts that benefit a lot of people on this platform. Your posts should also provide in-depth knowledge to questions asked.

I have also been puzzled how to get the merit. When I heard that I could write some high-quality articles to gain merits, I tried to write some tutorials, but it seems that the effect is not obvious either. Perhaps it is limited by language. I hope to gain some merits when writing some English tutorials in the future.

Most tutorials seem to be rehashing of previously written articles, and often the poster doesn't seem to understand the topic. The real answer is to avoid posting for merit, and to post to become a part of the community. Appearing to be a merit chaser can be counter productive.

It is another helpful topic from @iasenko, who got hundreds of merits since the lauch day of the system.

Furthermore, threads will have higher probabilty to receive merits if they created in well-format, user-friendly, besides quality of those threads.
It's link to my topics on how to make better formated-threads. The topic author can find link to my topic on how to adjust size of images attached, and how to avoid pyramid quotes. Those ones are among the most annoying issues (at least in my opinion), and should be avoided.

The good news is that your posting history is not spam nor built from extensive bounty reports. Nevertheless, your posts need to be more elaborated in order to have a fighting chance, putting more thought/time/study into them. Also, I would try to avoid posting on mega-threads, since those are generally ignored by meriters due to the amount of spamming that goes on there (with few exceptions).

Apart, from guides that users have written on the matter, I would also look at the forum’s official statistics and see what kind of posts are behind those being merited: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats

Well the problem here is you expect merits to be earned each time you post on a thread. My advice even if you don't receive any merits from your posts you should try to improve it every time you post. How do you improve your post in the forum? Reading all the previous replies help, as you will know what other members have posted and you can formulate and try to contribute a new one with your post. You see here the key is providing high quality post and posting generic and common posts won't award you a merit.

There is no easily get merit in this forum, If you want merit you should contribute something for the community members but it isn't easy because you have to be fully knowledgeable on everything on what you are saying. But that's not all, you also have to be a spectacular on explaining things make your explanation simple but understandable, don't act like an expert who post something so long but cannot be understand by most people because trying to act like an expert is just making things complicated. Well, this is just only my opinion tho, Just try to post something constructive, simple, understandable and do not complicate things.
Don't try to beg for merits as it doesn't look good for anybody. Everybody is equal so don't go beg for something. Hehehe Cheesy

Merits are nothing you can "get easily". You have to earn them via good, constructive and helpful posts. If your postings help other forum users you will get merits.
