Canada, China, Japan or Germany methinks.

Canada is beautiful and piggybacks off of the U.S. military
China is going to be the next 1950's U.S.
Japan has Nintendo/Pokemon/attractive girls
Germany has Berlin.

If your male I suggest Thailand near Pattaya Beach. You could end up broke there quick too but you smile a lot and the memories will last a lifetime. Just take a few bottles of vitamin E with you. It was hard to find when I was there. Wink

oranges have vitamin e right?  Grin

Not nearly enough for Thailand!   Wink

South East Asia, you can live emperor

LOL. You mean Asia - the south east Asia countries like Singapore and Malaysia is getting increasingly expensive to live in. A small (<2000 sq. ft) landed property in Penang, Malaysia for example would cost you upwards of $300k... Singapore is even worse in this regard.

Thailand is still very cheap if you're willing to live away from the bigger cities. Minor problem is that farangs can't own the land, but there's ways to deal with this.
Cambodia, Laos and probably some other countries around are even cheaper.
30 year lease or "own" a company that owns the property. Usually better off renting imo.
Unless you're 70 and never plan to sell the property I'd def get the company.

Yeah but you can still rent at pretty good rates in Malaysia. Not in Singapore though.

I wanna go to cali, but cost... If you find any places for under 1-2k per acre let me know Smiley
Please not the ghetto  Roll Eyes And wanna be in a warm place (above 65-70 F In winter)
Have you looked into buying some land in Detroit? There are some blocks which are totally deserted you might be able to get an acre for that price  Grin

San Diego, they have great weather, but it might be out of your price range.
