I'm saying mining crypto coins can still be profitable.  But not BitCoin.

Look at the first link in post #4 above.  It says in the disclaimer that the eruptors are intended as a NOVELTY and not for serious money making.  IT SAYS IT right in the same ad trying to get you to buy them!

Then read post #16.  If mining with 100 eruptors is so profitable, why is this guy trying to unload his 100 eruptors? Huh

Gravitate - do not spend the $50,000 on eruptors.  Do this instead:

1. Come to my town, I will meet you somewhere quiet and out of the way.
2. Give me half the money, $25,000 .
3. I'll kick you in the balls, smack you in the head, and call it a day.
4.  You go home and go back to your life.

That's about what you'll feel like after buying $50,000 worth of eruptors and watching them fail to generate profit in a rapidly increasing BitCoin difficulty, but you'll still have half your money to show for it and I'll be able to pursue some of my career goals with the other $25K.

It's a win-win.  Let's do it!   Grin

Sorry I meant 1000
And how will you be paying that 50,000$ ?
If he wants to waste his money on something which is already out of date, then just let him be.

you can still sell them with a big gain on eBay or Amazon. People are paying crazy prices for Block Erupters, just because they are available now and they are cheap compared to other solutions.

Buy a knc miner instead! for $1995 you can get 100 giga hash in October. This is the best company to purchase hardware from to get a ROI

But these products does not exist yet. It is only their promise and your hope to get it in October.

He's a lot more likely to make some money using something he can actually get, rather than vaporware...  Roll Eyes

~33GH/s for ~50BTC? That same 50BTC could buy you 40GH/s of blades, or some serious mining power with KNC, BitFury, or BFL.

Unless OP is looking to resell them, then I could see some profits being made. I doubt it tho, as he'd have to buy them the same place as everyone else...

You wont get 'wholesale' price on 100 unless that was a typo and you meant 100,000 :p

For 100 try Canary or SSB in the Group Buys forum

Well OP is pretty much late, there are thousand of pre-orders. Obviously they will get miner first and that time I doubt OP will get ROI easily.

I think It's better to spend more money and get a 400-500 GH/s miner or shares.
