Direct buying could be decrease the fees so i think better go directly to cex.io could be recommended as of now for less fee when buying bitcoin..
There are also other where to buy bitcoins but the fee is in average coinmama could be good as alternative..
Other exchange will be high fee like virwox its really high when buying bitcoin using paypal its not good choice when buying bitcoins..
If you are living in india  zebpay would be good option for instant and cheap fee.. for local exchanges.
Local transaction is one of the best way to buy bitcoin where you can meet the trader personally and make.the payments.I think the fee will be very less than other type of transactions.otherwise there are many websites available that sells bitcoin so search all the websites first and buy bitcoin from who provides it at best cost.

will try to get registered on localbitcoin .thank you for replies
As your first purchase, I would rather suggest some centralized exchange with a good reputation. Use localbitcoins only if you are confident in your ability to conduct a p2p trade.
And it might be a bit overwhelming at first, not to mention p2p trading is associated with higher risk than buying coins from an exchange.
Just remember to read a guides and tutorials on how to trade and use localbitcoins, like this: https://localbitcoins.com/guides/how-to-sell-bitcoins-online

i was using bitcoinofamerica.org for couple months already but i think their fees quite high , my account is not working on the coinbase and i don't see an option to have 'buys disabled' removed due to the lack of customer service . i was going to purchase some etherium ....5% mark up - not sure if thats normal ..dont think so. i had account opened with coinbase over year ago and its been same since then , i did all verification process .
Have you ever tried to contact the customer service support of coinbase? You should settle it while you are looking for some other place to buy bitcoin.

Mostly you can buy with different exchange platform that popular, bittrex, cex.io and poloniex.

And if you want to make your transaction safe here in forum, you can find nice guy to escrow a transaction with those people that are selling their eth for btc.

Localbitcoins is a very good and legit site for purchasing bitcoin directly to your country's fiat currencies, which does not need an ID card in other to sell.

I am also the user of localbitcoins since I started in bitcoin earnings. In recent days that bitcoin deposit fees has been added to that exchange wallet. I think you haven't had a trade with all the traders in the localbitcoins because some of the traders have security concerns with the ID verification before you initiate the trade.
Yes its risky to trade on localbitcoins like peer to peer trading platform specially when you are selling bitcoin for reversible payment methods like skrill, paypal etc.

Lots of traders there who offer too good offer to be true are just scammers, its better to find some reputed member to make a trade.

Buy bitcoin or ethereum from Cex.io with your usual credit cards however I haven't used them to actually buy anything there but they are in business for long time.

You can find many sellers near you through localbitcoins or paxful, try to search for sellers there who will accept local bank transfer.

Find exchange services that accept deposit from your country here https://www.bitcoin.com/buy-bitcoin

try localbitcoins its pretty convenient and safe if you are dealing with trusted traders on there, or you can buy from sellers on bitcointalk itself make sure you are trading with someone trusted with good feedback related to trades and also use escrow if its a big amount.

you could buy bitcoins from www.localbitcoins.com as there are many options on that website form which we can select a convenient price and then make the deal. You have the option to buy from cash also, you just have to look for a convenient price and place on the website and then carry out the deal. If you know any local seller who accepts cash and bank transfer then you can buy the bitcoins from him and make the payment.

You can use coinbase instead when buying bitcoin because they have an option that you can pay only cents choose the bank option if you are living in United states you can pay i think 15 cents for every exchange from your fiat to bitcoin..
This is less fee than the other option that it takes 3.99% fee for every exchange ..  You can check it here to know the fees https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/2109597-buy-sell-bank-transfer-fees
Buying bitcoins from coinbase isn't good imo if you choose the bank option there's a 7 day waiting period before they give out your bitcoins. I think the fees will depend because my friend from the US bought a small portion of bitcoin ~70usd with his bank account and he was charged with a $4 fee together with the waiting time.

You can definitely expect to pay these sort of markups if you are buying bitcoin. There is really no way around that, unless you are verified on major exchanges with very small spreads. If you have a verified coinbase account then i would suggest purchasing from there.

Otherwise, use localbitcoins.

Probably the fastest way to get bitcoin, though expect to pay at least 3-5% over spot for coins.

i wish i could use coinbase but they blocked my buys and i can not reach their support ....

So what's your payment method of buying bitcoins?
You can buy here but of course because of trust issues you have to use an escrow for this and you have to choose a reputed members like higher members with escrow. You can navigate to currency exchange of the forum or just go directly here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0.

For the lowest fees you should go with an exchange.
There are many to choose from, it really depends on where you live.
For me Kraken was the best because the provide SEPA transactions at no costs.
The only charge a small fee every coin exchange you do.

For more than a year that I've been active in the cryptocurrency ecosystem I personally haven't come across bitcoinofamerica.org yet so I really couldn't recommend that you continue using it.

If you're from the United States, try these sites out. Choose the one that works best for you. Maybe compare the prices or so.
