Hey Guys, i'm living in Australia, and just wanted to know any good places to buy coins here. So far, could only find Coinbase with acceptable fees but is limited.
Probably if you are looking for the best and the cheapast palce to buy coins, i would recommend using Ploniex as it has a wide variaety of coins that is constantly being updated, and the fees when exchanging or buying are fiarly low, i would not recommend buying bitcoin from coinbase, because not only it has a limited paymment methods, but it could track its users and how they spend their bitcoin, so your identity is not hidden which is the key feature to using cryptocurrency.

I enjoy these exchanges. It Binance, Bitfinex, Kraken, Poloniex, HitBTC, Yobit, Livecoin. This is a fairly large and popular exchange. Each has its own pros and cons. That is why I use all of them because they complement each other

I recommend Binance and Bittrex because of good volume. Binance also offers mobile app and probably the fastest growing exchange.

I think, first we must sign up at local exchanger, and then buy a coin, transfer to other exchanger,,

Binance, bitrex and also poloniex I recommend these exhanges because of volume and also very easy to understand so that you won't have trouble in trading. And so far the stock is far from the bad stories that usually occur in other exchanges.

Iheard a lot rumors about in the coinbase which you are using it now. Then if you are in Australia, bitfinex is one of the good exchange which you can use it while your in that country. Maybe you could find another exchange aside from coinbase. We had bittrex, hitbtc, binance, coinbene.

I think you need to understand the credibility of the addresses as well as the speed of the liquidity, which is extremely important for security and speed of processing. Since you put all of your assets in it, check it out. I know some reliable addresses you can refer to GDAX, Bitfinex, Bitstamp, Cryptopay, Cex.

I am using Localbitcoins since last few years and had no issues with them so far thus I would recommend you to try it,

* Buy and sell bitcoins in Australia.

It is just a platform with some useful features like automated escrow system that helps you to trade with anyone who is willing to trade with you. I am not much aware of the popular payment methods used in your country but you use multiple payment methods there.

As you are based in Australia you have lots of choices, bitpanda is also there which accept sepa transfer and also credit cards. I think their rate is best also you can try to get some bitcoin for your fiat directly through bitcoin ATM near by you. There are many of those in melbourne and sydney area...

If you are in Finland ,you can use of localbitcoin ,it's a good website and it's trusted too.You can change the FIAT to Bitcoin and bitcoin into FIAT both is possible in the local bitcoin. com,you can mark certain price to buy bitcoin based on the current price.

Localbitcoins.com is one of the best place if you are looking to buy bitcoins and it almost available in all the countries. If you are looking for place to buy altcoins the Poloniex exchange is good to buy because the fee is very low when compared to other exchange and all coins will be available at this exchange.

You can buy coins with the use of many exchanges. Go to bittrex.com, hitbtc.com, bitfinex.com. And you can buy many coins as you want. Because you are thinking that coinbase is limited, then you can try to expand your limitation with these exchanges.

Localbitcoins, mate. They generally have some of the best rates around, once you calculate all the fees involved with using services mentioned here (commissions, bank transfer fees etc.). I regularly compare and not often is a direct buy from other non p2p exchanges better. Best thing about buying from Localbitcoins also is you're protected by escrow. You make a buy offer to traders selling, their bitcoins are locked in escrow until your payment's arrived in their accounts. Just a tip: only look for trusted traders, verified of course with 100% good feedback and accounts aged over a year. Should be very easy to find. Oh, and go for online trades only, don't be fooled by the offline or face-to-face trades that have better rates.

If you're up for learning to use a slightly more complicated solution (but also P2P and with multisig escrow) then try out Bisq. Need to be online and have the app open until you confirm the trades, though.

GDAX, Bitfinex, Bitstamp, Cryptopay, Cex, are a few example but it depends on what payment method are you planning to use. Coinbase purchases are by credit cards, right? I think Bitstamp can be used to buy using a card.

Thanks, i can use credit card and bank account for purchases, however are there any crypto markets that are specifically for Australian residents? These exchanges mainly are for European and US residents.

They have a lot of customers outside of Europe and the USA so you shouldn't have a problem. Otherwise, you may take a look at https://bitcoin.com.au it is the only one I know based in Australia. I have never used it, so make your due diligence before using it, I don't want to be blamed for redirecting you to a shady website. =)

I'd stick with the big names (like the ones LeGaulois mentions). You can never be too safe when it comes to Bitcoin management and trading.

I reccomend GDAX, please not use coibnbase use GDAX, its the same exchange but coinbase is friendly  and easy but with higher spread and comission.

The people that has coinbase can see that when they try to enter gdax because they need to use username and password from coinbase!
