I prefer to buy them in a local store.
I can get a GTX 1060 6GB for cheap. Is it better?

The calculator on NiceHash.com has been true to my GTX 1070.

Hello, I'm from Europe and I'm looking for GPU's to mine ethereum. I've been looking for RX 480 but they're all sold out.

You can always buy them from ebay.co.uk if you're willing to pay an extra hundred pounds. I'd look for 580s instead but they're kinda sold out too at the moment. There's a bigger chance to find a brand new one with 5th series GPUs.

i managed to get 32 570's from alternate.ch ..they lasted about 5mins on their site. i had been searching all of europe for a week with no luck untill then, they arrived today Smiley

Do you think it's worth to buy 1 RX 580? They are at 300eur

at that price not so much, with that price you can add something and get the 1070 second hand, or even new, maybe not the best cooling model solution, but you have something with the same price that earn you more and is more efficient

The 580 8gig is a good card.About 25mhs stock,I do not mod mine,it may void the warranty, not sure though.Better safe than sorry  Wink

The 400 & 500 series use around 125 watts whereas the 300 series can be as high as 350 watts, but the 390 8gig gets 30mhs stock,at least my MSI 380 is  Cool

So less power is better & the resale later of 500 series will be better too  Wink

I made a small script to get the cheapest available cards on amazon. In european amazons there are still many on stock but on amazon com the ones that are added on stocks are sold immediately. It's even hard to find something that you can preorder. The cheapest available Rx is an Rx 470 at the intredible price of 295. You can check it here: http://cryptowizzard.com/graphics-cards/

I'm trying to scan newegg for cheap available options but they don't have an api so I need to find an workaround.

Bestbuy has a few affordable models(read not cheap).

One option is to switch to nvidias cards, which are still on stock. You can get GTX 1070 for 350usd and they perform quite well, giving 30-32 mhs, their consumption being 25% lower than radeon's. GTX 1060 is giving 23 mhs for less than 200 usd with factory settings.

I found some RX 580 8GB.

- Asus Dual Radeon RX 580 8GB OC - 289.90€
- MSI Radeon RX 580 GAMING X+ 8G - 314.90€
- XFX Radeon RX 580 GTR-S Black Edition 8GB OC - 329.00€

Would you buy any of this or would be better to buy an nvidia? My maximum is like 300€

Right now, unless you can find them from someone that is NOT gouging on the price due to limited availability, it's a case of "buy what you can find" on the RX 470/480/570/580.

RX 4xx series apparently has been out of production for a month or so, but AMD hasn't gotten RX 5xx production up enough on the 570/580 to meet the demand....

Excuse me for being pretty blunt here, but if you can't work out if a 480 will fit on your mobo, mining probably isn't for you.

I did some research after posting though. Also I wasn't talking about fit in terms of gpu size.

Should I look for other cards?
