I'm planning a long-term buy-and-hold approach as well. Currently using coins.ph now and I still can't decide what the cut-off amount I should arrive at before I buy a hardware wallet like Ledger Nano S (maybe when/if I reach 1 bitcoin? 2 bitcoins?) I'm assuming anything less than 1 bitcoin I can just "safely" leave with coins.ph. I haven't heard of the coins.ph servers being hacked in the past (so far).
From what I've seen online, https://coinzin.com seems to be the legit authorised distributor covering the Philippines (but is based in Singapore). At S$105 (PHP3966), not including shipping yet, I think, the price seems decent. The lowest prices from Amazon are WAY higher, i.e. more than a hundred US dollars (PHP5000+) each.

Mukhang malakas kita natin ah.. Medyo in demand ang ledger ngayon. Kaya medyo nagkakaubusan na. Pwede ka namang umorder directly sa manufacturer ng ledger. Di ko lang alam ang presyo nya. Pero kung security paguusapan, talagang mas maganda sa ledger kasi mas secure tsaka portable. Yung iba kasi PC ang gamit. Di mo namn pwede dalin kahit saan. Kaya pang may kamahalan sya.

Wow! Siguro sobrang laki na ng kinita mo at gusto mo na ng hardware wallet. Pero maganda yang naisip mo safe talaga ang bitcoin mo kumpara sa online wallet at desktop wallet. At wala pa talaga niyan sa Lazada... baka maunahan pa sila ng mga Chinese sa Divisoria. Try shopee.sg (free shipping yan) or amazon.com nagsi-ship sila ng item papunta sa Manila.
Try mo pong i-check yung mga binebenta na Ledger Nano S sa ebay.ph. Maraming nagbebenta po doon na pwede mong ipa-shift dito sa Pinas. Nagre-range po yung price niya from 4,000+ to 13,000+ pesos. Heto po yung link. Pwede din sa Galleon.ph pero ang pinakamababang presyo doon ay nasa 10k+.
