Bitcoin isnt like fiat money,  aside from mining, its not inflationary and so bitcoins arent created as a result of a growing economy,  therefore it cant support interest rates. Investing bitcoins is thus generally stupid.  If you factor in even a small % of scams (in reality its a HUGE %), statistically investors will on average lose bitcoins, its inevitable.

Ask yourself: where would you 'invest' your gold bullion ? Your apple shares?  Most places will charge you a fee to hold your gold or manage your stocks , instead of paying a return. Think the same way about your coins. They *are* your investment. Be happy they cost nothing to store securely.

I stopped investing in bitcoin "business opportunities" a while back after I got burned on Havelock. Almost all of these opportunities are scams, I just buy and sell bitcoins. It's risky enough as it is.

this is absolutely true. 90%  of times you will lose it all. Holding is better.

Best thing you can do is donate to developers that are coding the core of Bitcoin, it is not an investment in the sense that you won't get apr, but your holdings will be safer if the code is strenghtened.

I totally agree with what you are saying.  Stronger Bitcoin = we all win.

I have searched that for myself too. Saw many site like diceninja prc etc and ended up making a paper wallet of it.  Undecided
Not investing in dice sites for now is the best way to go. You are more likely to lose everything. For now, it is recommended to keep your bitcoins away in cold storage.

If you have some 6-7 bitcoins. Purchase 5000Kh/s on hashprofit and get your investment back in just 6 months only. And the remaining profit till 2 yars will be yours.  Hashprofit is paying their members on daily basis. Investing your bitcoins on hashprofit is 100% safe.
We have to choose the Coins we want to mine with that power or it automatically mines profitable coins?I prefer automatic. Also what how is this network trustworthy?

You could do arbitrage between exchanges, a new exchange just launched www.bitspark.io they have a bunch of coins that are trading at higher or lower prices than other exchanges.

Be careful when you invest some bitcoin in dice casinò. I can advice you to put it in a paper wallet and wait when btc will reach a big prize in way to sell it.

Edit: A lot of posts here are about reminding me to keep holding bitcoin and it is itself an investment. I agree with this but what I meant to ask was the ways to grow my bitcoin holdings. For example, If I have 1 BTC today and I do nothing with it, it will remain 1BTC after 10 years. I wanted to know if there were any legit ways by which we could get profits on our existing bitcoin holdings.
