...I want to start off by opening an online bitcoin casino WITHOUT a license. I want to know what countries allow for this LEGALLY...
...Does using Bitcoin to gamble in some countries still prohibited by the government?... Enlighten me.

Unfortunately, you can't run a casino without a license anywhere, even if it is a BTC casino.

But...

Quote
A few reputable gambling jurisdictions already issue licenses to casinos accepting Bitcoin (notably, Curacao and the United Kingdom), which means they accept the responsibility of controlling operation of cryptocurrency websites. As long as the online casino is following the rules and regulations of the chosen jurisdiction, it operates legally.

As you can see OP, unfortunately, there is also no possibility to ask for a license later when casino is already running and got decent traffic.

I understand OP concerns/questions because many BTC casinos work without a license and are pretty successful. BTC changed everything and also has a lot of impact on the gambling industry.
To be honest, there are many jurisdictions were obtaining a gambling license is much easier and many times casinos open their business in these countries.
The main problem for FIAT online casinos were payment processors. They will not cooperate with any casino without a license and here comes BTC with help.

Today one could argue if a license for BTC casino is needed at all?

There is no need for payment processors because of BTC, so the main problem is resolved. Additionally, BTC is much better as FIAT because it is much more anonymous and payments are very fast compared to any payment processor. "On the other hand, a lot of players think about Bitcoin casino in the same way as any traditional online casino. They want to be sure that they bring their BTC to a reputable and secure online environment and that their rights are protected by an independent authority. In this case, a valid gambling license from one of the gaming licensing jurisdictions becomes an important marketing tool that contributes to player loyalty and considerably increases the casino’s reputation".

To summarise everything OP could easy-open a BTC casino without a license and make it operational. The important thing is that licenses cost a lot of money and time which is a huge entry barrier. The licensing process is not easy because of requirements, costs, taxation policy and application processing time. Casino software has to meet the requirements of the jurisdiction. Licensing bodies in different jurisdictions pose various requirements to the software used by the casino. Incorporate a legal entity in the required jurisdiction, certificate of no criminal record from the police and much more.

Here all jurisdictions which issue gambling licenses.

I am looking to open a new bitcoin casino.

I want to start off by opening an online bitcoin casino WITHOUT a license. I want to know what countries allow for this LEGALLY.

I plan to get a license in the future if my website gets some decent traffic.
Countries that allows online gambIing are mostly in Asia like Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and China. But i don't think it will be difficult for you to create and gain money from online bitcoin casino if you don't have any license because it is really required for a person to have licensure to know if your site is legitimate or can be trusted.

I was become curious after reading this.
Does using Bitcoin to gamble in some countries still prohibited by the government? Because as far as I know, as long as the gambling website or platform doesn't use some banks or any national fiat currency money transfer just to deposit funds on every user account it still okay.
But we are talking about Bitcoin to be used on the gambling website and start gambling. Enlighten me.

Interesting suggestions above.

I wonder what people will do if Crypto-based casino license becomes impossible to obtain in the future.

I think I will simply obtain the best/safe gambling laws from any country or different countries and code the rules (mixed with my best/safe rules) on a decentralized gambling platform. This is probably one of the best ways to keep cryptospere lively and safe when such time comes

Here's what I have found. Different countries were listed here and their gambling status whether casinos are legal, illegal, or not regulated.

https://simonsblogpark.com/onlinegambling/simons-guide-online-gambling-legal-status-laws

I think it's hard to find a country that doesn't require a license with online casino especially when gambling is legal in that country.  But I hope this can help you find a country that you are looking for.
Also, you said you're still a student, are you sure you want to open an online bitcoin casino? Wouldn't it be a hindrance to focus on your studies?

You want to open an unlicensed casino and expect traffic? Goodluck with that. Just the fact that you want to open an unlicensed casino already warrants people to NOT visit your casino. Words are empty, people want movement, actions, results. And in this case? What they want is a license. So that they can ensure that you're not just gonna run off with their money after cheating them of it.

As for opening an unlicensed casino, I'm not sure but I think you just need a reliable software provider, gambling games, secure mode of payment, and the site itself. As for any country that allows it, I don't really know. A lot of countries have been strictly regulating any type of casino that pops out of their territory so you might just get written on their list if you try and open a casino anywhere. And even if they don't notice you, trust me, you're not going to get any traffic.

Hi, Thanks for your response.

Well I am just a student and I don't want to risk putting more than half of my net worth on just a license. My website operates solely on a player vs player game so i do not require any bank roll. Once my site establishes a regular traffic I would obtain that license. But to start off, I was just looking for something thats cheaper and less risk for me.

I also do not want to do anything illegal.

If it is legal, then they make money from your license. Many Bitcoin casinos (and exchanges) still take the risk of being illegal.

with the highlighted sentence does it mean you are only creating a trial and error site?that if you don't gain more traffic then you'll end up the Gambling site?

remember that in Gambling Online legitimacy and trust is what you will be needing before gaining players and investors.

if you cannot even provide Licence (In which will surely be checked by legit gamblers first before putting their money inside your site)how would go gather true traffic from Players?

Hey thanks for your response. My website is a player vs player game. So I don't actually require a bankroll. I just take commission.

edit: just now your post comes out ,i get your point then stay on your plan since that is PvP games only.

I like straight simple questions !

what you need for starters :

Trust proof(s) : casinos online or not , are like banks , what u got there ?
Audience : are you already famous ? or what u plan to do about ?
Capital : can you show us (potential costumers) the Money ?  Grin
Resources : did you have domain_name(s) , server(s) , software , right people to run your casino ?
Vision : there are thousands already working Casinos , what more you can offer to us ?
...
sadly enough , list is way too long my friend , but we can try still !
i am patient and open to discuss casually or deeper , think and answer some of my questions to kickstart this thread of yours.

Operating without a license. That is basically what you mean, right? But you will secure a license when the traffic is already reaching a decent amount? That seems to be inconsistent to me. I am not familiar with gambling laws in different jurisdictions but I doubt if there is a country that allows gambling operations to run for free in the beginning and then require a license later on.

By the way, here are certain points by a company offering "professional assistance and support in obtaining an online gambling license" of why a license is important.[1]

  • It warrants the casino operator’s trustworthy behavior and commitment to a fair gaming policy.
  • A license is also an indicator of transparency in business operations and security of the gaming software offered to customers.
  • Better reputation in the eyes of players and customer loyalty.
  • Ability to set up a merchant account in a bank.

I deeply share those points especially for the users' safety. Please note that I am not in any way affiliated with them or endorsing them. I just found them online.
