I have not looked into an online option, because well, not for me until its been tried and tested I guess.

For me, crypto-inheritance should be treated as you would any other assets you own. You safeguard your money, investments and property via a will and instructions which you generally leave with your lawyer. You can also leave them instructions for someone to be passed on after death. Like a wildly vague treasure hunt of searching you house for the crypto clues to gain access to all your holdings. Some people might store paper wallets in safety deposit boxes along with cold storage nano wallets or hardrives. Instructions on how to access and convert the coins would also be needed. To make it nice and easy.

But still, the trouble I find is that - does your family have any clue about how to access a pc, multiple wallets, ledger nano's and crypto in general even with good instructions? They are going to be left at the mercy of finding someone to help get them back out - and theres no assurance they don't get ripped off in this process. Or they won't know what the hell do to with them, so it will just go unused.

Its definitely an area that someone (not saying SafeHaven) but someone could probably do well in servicing the need for. But the scam scene... omg it of course would be soo f*cking rude to screw a family over after they lost a loved one, but scammers don't care about that at all! So it would require a huge amount of trust and community building for a project to take this to the level its needed.

This is also one of my worries because I join crypto not only to earn but also I have something to leave my kids/family once I died. That is why little by little I'm beginning to introduce crypto to my kids since I believe that crypto will be the future of money.

Although it is a great concept I still wouldn’t trust my holdings to some third party website and keeps my “will” with all of my private keys/seeds. I’d do it old school if it means I have to pass on my savings to my love ones. I’m sure most prople here are doing the same thing like writing them down on some notebook or something.

I think it depends on where did you put your cryptocurrencies, its is a very important matter specially if you are on a long terms investment since you will never know what might happen to you and it would be such a waste to lose these investments. I guess we all need to make precautionary measures and beneficiaries to have access to our investments like in a last will and testament form.

If the way things are going, there may come a day when there will be a Crypto to send us to Hell or Heaven  Grin

Anyway… Jokes apart, it looks very decent project. But, will take some time to get inside it to know how good it is exactly. But yes do have unique concept.

Is there a bounty program?

I don't know about Hell or Heaven but this is something that we need to take SERIOUSLY! It is not about jokes or fun.

They have Bounty program, but on here https://alpha.bounty0x.io/bounties/host/Safe%20Haven.

The idea is very good but i thinknits hard to realize the idea become true.
However, to prevent our crypto locked, we have to tell our partner like wife or husband our asset.

I think I will leave a paper wallet to my tokens with instructions how to use it somewhere hidden, and at the last moments before I kick the bucket I will tell someone where it is.

All of my crypto coins will be inherited and passed down to my children. No matter how good a certain project like that I don't think I have enough trust to leave everything to them once I die  Grin

That is what I've been thinking.
A lot of people are going to lose their cryptocurrencies and no one is going to take advantage of it if they keep their private keys to themselves alone. It's better to just tell two to three trusted people about it.

there is a very high risk involve when investing cryptocurrencies and the security is the number once concern here. so when we die and no one knows about your crypto and wallet infos like private and public keys then your crypto is irretrievable unless you put someone to entrust for like your kids, your family member or your trusted lawyer for inheritance purposes other than that it will float in to the air and it seems like a crypto junkies.

I think that is the risk in crypto because you own the private keys even we have some insurance company here still it's so hard to rely someone in your money so it's more good if you have your own keys but if you die no one can access your money so always think that but i think you already earn if that happen to you so the question is easy to know atleaast always do hardwork so even not good happen you already have big real money.

While thinking about where will our Cryptocurrencies will go if we die suddenly? I guess locked!

Then, I just found this ICO “SafeHaven” this is basically something that I always worried about. When people die, it’s usually their will that’s used to divide the property and all that, but what happens with the online money?

I mean the Cryptocurrency! Mostly, we see people not sharing it with anyone and if there comes a sudden dreadful day, then it’s all over. It is certainly ALL over, but what about our family? Won’t they be losing out what we made? These things were what I always thought and always have notepad saved on my desktop for SUCH day!

But perhaps now this thing SafeHaven is very interesting. They have basic concept through which we will basically be creating online WILL type with their structure, so we basically secure our family’s future even if we are not there ANYMORE. The detailed stuff is present on their website, so it will be better to look there.

Ultimately, I like you guys to tell me whether is this worth to use and secure? Will really welcome your views…. Thanks

https://www.safehaven.io/

They have telegram as well where I am already joined and have asked many things regarding the project. https://t.me/SafeHavenio
I think most of the people who is in this crypto economy don't have this kind of thinking.IMO since you open this topic.I will let my family know all about my online belongings and let them have an access on
it while i'm still alive, besides it is meant for them in the first place,
and for the OP if you think your decision is right then be it,as long as it is not risky and you know what your doing.

I think it's better we watch out for such projects in long term manner and then go for investing our whole assets into them. It's like handing over the whole life's hard earned wealth to these people and what if after we die they go scam all about it.

I'm not being negative about this but I'm being very concerned about the project which is made out of  block chain , the same blockchain that we fail for many times with different ico projects.

I will just save mine in a flash drive or send to my gmail accounts hahaha. it is hard to trust anyone especially like that online.
my family members knows that I am doing bitcoin thingy and they will know that my wallets is stored on my laptop and I have several backups haha.
just give a copy to your trusted family members and I think you should good to go

Look at this one. That's the better option I see. Better save it with your own will and hand it over to your family just the day on we die. Seriously can not trust anyone than my family.

It will probably get stuck in your hardware wallet if nobody near you have access and can stay in the network if the wallet is not updated, if your coins stay in exchanges, it is likely that in times the exchange may perform updates or delist some coins, and may contact you to withdraw them, and will lose them.

Probably I can say that if that time would come it will surely go to waste if no one on your family knows about the accounts that you have that has cryptocurrencies inside of it. But for me, I am planning to even just leave some notes even on my purse/s, things like drawers or even on my phone or laptops even just some little letter regarding to my earnings. I am in thought too of giving some like treasure hunt to the accounts I have that has cryptos inside it, even in just that they would know that I remain some legacy to remember me.

If you are so worried, put a will and write down your private keys there and give it to me, I will keep it safely and handover to your inheritors.

Jokes apart, most crypto-currencies will fail before you die, meaning they will become worth zero cent.

Hard time thinking about the Cryptocurrencies I have when I am alive. Now I need to think about when I will die Cheesy It looks nice but something like this has never done previously, so hard to really say where it can go in time. I will certainly not mind trying it out but it’s just 50/50 thing right now!
