A couple of the reasons it's relaying blocks so fast is 1) it doesn't do any transactions, 2) it doesn't do any checks on the blocks (hence relaying multiple blocks of the same height).... it probably only keeps one in memory at once.

No, they are just relaying them.

The hilarious part is that a little "research" would have led this guy to about a dozen threads.  In fact, the very first search result for that IP is the thread that ends with this post.

Your *what* is itchy?
Ah, you have to click on the chart to get the bigger graphic, then you see the disclaimer. There is no disclaimer when you land on www.bitcoincharts.com, which is what i linked.

Really?

The graph below shows the market share of the most popular bitcoin mining pools. It should only be used as a rough estimate and for various reasons will not be 100% accurate. A large portion of Unknown blocks does not mean an attack on the network, it simply means we have been unable to determine the origin.

Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuUUUUUUUUUse me. It's the first time *I've* ever seen it, and haven't seen it on the boards.

Wouldn't it have been much more informative to say "no need for alarm, bitcoincharts loses track of some of the bigger pools now and again. It'll sort itself out." instead of copping a 'tude?

Do we really need this thread every time bitcoincharts loses track of one of the pools?  There is a big disclaimer right at the top of the page.

Yes, so they fix it.
