Hi, I need your opinion on the following question.
Which altcoins are here to stay and which will slowly fade out. I must put a emphasize on Utility.
Utility vs Speculation.
- The project must solve a real world issue
- The project must have existing partnerships
- A need for the project.

Since it's a utility token, how many real world usage cases you provide?

Over time, bad projects and centralized altcoins will be filtered out of the altcoin ecosystem by market forces.

I believe that Monero is the altcoin that will probably stay for a long time to come and remain relevant. Because a lot of altcoins right now are trying to do way too much with all the smart contracts and all, monero is just trying to solve a simple problem of anonymity on the internet. And with monero being anonymous it means that they are truly a fungible currency.

It doesn't have any partnerships, but it doesn't have to. It's not a trading platform or ICO platform that gets replaced by better alts over time. That's why I think it's here to stay.

With over 1000 alt coins trading right now and thousands of ICOs coming every month, it's very hard rather impossible to predict the name of altcoin that will stay forever. To survive in today's competitive crypto market alt coins must have an innovative idea(to solve real-world use cases), road map and a team that can give the deliverables on time like we see in case of Ethereum.

ETH, Ripple - these 2 will stay here forever in my opinion. Just really 2 big coins. The second one just too hyped as I see.

It seems to me that these coins are the most popular ones with a real and useful product. Perhaps they will live very long if the crypto society doesn't come up with something better.
Because basically the majority of new projects or icos just try to make any improvement to the existing code. In fact, ethereum developer can do it even better without need any other project that aims to build better smartcontract platform.
Those are aiming to improve the smartcontract will be useless. How ethereum comes with a new code called smartcontract.

I see some coins relatively unknown that are doing good:
SHIFT is nice with low supply and could become huge if his team improves the marketing
DATUM ico ended a month ago and it’s already above 10x ico price
SWFTC nice concept and low price

Usually some people really don't care about the use of some altcoins, whether if it solves a real world issue, if the project really has a good use case or whether if it will be really beneficial to others. What most people care about is where will they earn more, some people even invest in altcoins that actually has no purpose as long as it is popular and profitable.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.
I was asking myself what to do when cryptocurrency goes down and found out that the most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

They are on exchanges right now, you can check their website: https://ethermeta.com/
Or even better go through their Bitcointalk thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/future-of-privacy-ethereum-meta-foundation-of-anonymous-e-marketplace-2659058

There are still coins which do have good developments but doesn't come to a point or state to be implemented. It all depends on the idea of the project. Check out the roadmap of the project. In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts. The most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now. Just because of this no one can give perfect prediction about this which is going to stay here and which is going to dead soon

The coin which will stay for long is coin which have a real use case and the case only can be solved by blockchain or decentralised system. I think AI is one of them also IOT, and identity like dna stored in blockchain. Storing data also must be decentralised to prevent stealing data and manipulating.

Sounds too good to be true? The Artis Turba ICO is already over and with $5 million in funds the team has already started with the development of the Artis Turba Exchange - and it is expected to be live in June 2018 from where these earnings will be implemented Cool

Forward Together!

It all depends on the idea of the project. Check out the roadmap of the project, look at the punctuality of the implementation of the activities specified in the plan. If the team is responsible for execution of their duties, and the coin will live.

Ethereum with their application. They are working on scaling so they can catch up with VISA scalability. In that case, we could use it in, by many people, every day for payment without congestion. Privacy coins Monero, Zcash, Deeponion for hidden transactions. Some of the technical coins Golem which will be used to create a massive supercomputer from our home PCs. SONM, iExec, and Elastic are similar. One of the interesting coins out there is DATA coin by Streamr. They will use blockchain technology for transferring data, which could be sold. Data would be collected from everywhere. Cars, gas stations, buses etc.

unfortunately when you limit your criteria to "real use cases" of an altcoin then you end up with an empty list. because all of the altcoins promise to be fixing some real world issue but when you really check them out and try seeing what they are doing you see that they are not only not fixing anything, but also they were only created to be pumped and dumped!

my hope is that we see some real results from coins based on DAG such as Nano, IOTA, ByteBall. but they are not exactly exceptions either.
This is in fact the sad reality which do exist into this market where most coins do promise out a specific thing regarding into its usage or proposed innovations but yet they are all in speculative phase or just simply they are good on words not actually on further development and same as you said most of them are just being created for the sake of money or designed for pump and dumped. There are still coins which do have good developments but doesnt come to a point or state to be implemented.

Personally i am fan of energy and exchange based projects that provide real value and use cases, so you might be interested to have a look at kucoin(kcs), Coss, cobinhood(cob), power ledger(powr), wepower(wpr), restart energy(mwat), kwhcoin etc.

Ethereum: Because there are more than 475 tokens listed in CMC based on it. And the number of new ICOs are being built on the daily basis.
Ripple: Big venture capitalists are behind this, also it is pretty much old and holding its under top 10 market cap position since its day one.
Monero: Number one in privacy, which is also the first privacy coin adopted by the dark webs.
Litecoin: If bitcoin is gold, then this one is silver. Also the 2nd oldest cryptocurrency after btc.

Those 2 will not last longer than 10 years, I reckon. Maybe Ripple has a chance because it is backed by venture capitalists. But if all the funding goes away, it will not see the same success as bitcoin. unless it becomes a true open source project.

Ethereum, same scenario. They have pivoted from world computer, to immutable smart contracts, to ICO token issuance. None of those models have lasted except for token issuance.
