My opinion only ethereum is best and potential altcoin will growing up lile bitcoin, when bitcoin have higher price price ethereum will allow and have higher price too. Just waiting when bitcoin is growing up its time ethereum will be the same on higher price.
for the first altcoin rank, I choose eth. eth prices will continue to rise. and for the next altcoin, I chose Ripple and Neo.
Looking at the market today, and comparing the charts, I see that many altcoins are ready to start their bull run. I think that Ontology and IOTA will be among the leaders. The other coins to deal with and NEO and ADA.
I think this year will be the growth of NEO, they show the results of the stabtlnye and they have a great idea

I think Stellar and TRX can grow very much in the future. That's a very difficult question.

I believe the ETH is increase the price very fast in day by day in these few past weeks. I hope its price will be big in the next few months. because It already has a working on the white paper and the roadmap.

I think altcoins that have the potential to grow and become very expensive coins are coins that have very high trading volumes, very limited amounts of coins and some very useful projects for the present and future.
Interesting, what coins can you give us as na example? Because I don't know any altcoin that has great trading volume with low amount. Besides high volume of trading may not help coin to rise like Bitcoin any time because more hands - less holders. But anything can happen here in crypto, who knows
I believe that the time will come when bitcoin will be in serious competition with many good coins that we have in the market today. Bitcoin is doing well, but time goes on, but fees will stagnate. Decred. Has a very bitcoin-like roadmap (Lightning Network etc). Self-funding but not yet as autonomous as dash, though they're working on it. Their approach is very different to dash, so possibly a good hedge.

Any new promising coin can grow as well as BTC in price for a couple of years. Now I believe that EOS in the future will grow very much in price.
I think TRX can grow very much in price in a couple of years. And it is better now to buy coins, while the price is only 0.02 $.
