I would at least have a look at lowcap coins such as Pure which will open an exchange. See what other exchange coins has done in terms of value.

I agree with you completely. I received some AION from an airdrop that I applied to recently and was surprised by how it rose in value so quickly. I did some research on this coin and decided to buy more AION since I feel that this is a legitimate coin with a bright future. The blockchain problems that it is trying to address are real and I think that this coin can actually solve these problems due to the experienced developer team behind it. The manner in which it is focusing on solving the scalability issues in the blockchain is a big plus point and it one reason why I like this coin currently.It is at 9 dollars now from just a couple of dollars.

I think we have a lot of altcoin that can be profitable. depending on your choice and analysis. always involve knowledge and experience to choose on many altcoins
For long term investment you can invest in Ethereum or in Bitcoin. It is now a good time to invest in those coins as they are the reigning coins and also they establish a good reputation in this organization. And in the long run, I can see that these two would be successful and also profitable. They are good coins.

be careful with Ripple as there might be a dump if the developer decide to create more coins (centrailized coin can just be risky).
Otherwise look for most of the cheap coins under 1$ which will actually all get pumped, because the Altcoin-Hype atm brings many newcomers investing into them, bc they just want to get rich and 100% profit is not enough for the most people anymore.

It depends on you if you want a long term or a short term investment. A long term investment could be for ethereum or btc and for short term, you could do some research for altcoins.
Exactly buyer has to decide that whether he is buying for short term or for the long term. Ripple is one coin pumping from last month or so. IOTA, NEM are the good altcoins to buy and finally as we all know Ethereum is the good choice for investing in the altcoins.

don't invest all your money into 1 altcoin just divide it into 2 or 3 altcoins, buy the potential coin like ethereum, bitcoincash or dash but if you want to earn x3 or more just invest an ICO just make sure you research them until you find the solid project just like diw.

For long term invest you should take a deeper look into the project.

nxt currently has a significant and very low price drop. if it is for the long term I think buying nxt is not a disadvantage. it could be very profitable for long-term coin holders. IOTA, NXT, NYC, Ripple for 2018
