If the crypto boom is started and is continuous, I try to choose the reliable ones. Because, the rise of the market will affect every coin, and I do not want to ruin everything because of greed. For example, ETH is much lower than it should be, while ETH was $1.5k at the time the BTC is $20k, it is not at appropriate for the current BTC price, and IMO it will recover in the future increase.

I'd go for my stored altcoins,
ETH, XRP, and BCH.
I already planned it even before, if altcoins will start the bull run at any time, I'll immediately buy these coins. I already provided enough savings for this plan. I can see the potential to these altcoins and I know that I won't regret my decision after buying these altcoins.

It's hard to say because I feel confused right now to say which altcoin that will boom in the future. But I still believe that ethereum can increase higher. The other altcoin that will increase might be litecoin, monero, atom, grin, neo, and many more. But I cannot tell that it will rise in the next month or next year because no one will know for sure. We can predict that coin will increase, but we cannot say that it will increase because that will depend on the coin itself besides support from the dev, teams, and the community.
of course, I go to the Ethereum because it's the most potential altcoin in this cryptocurrency, I believe that Eth is the most user-friendly and most used-crypto in the cryptocurrency history after Bitcoin, if you see the volume then the decision taking would be easier, so Ethereum is undoubtedly the best option among the other altcoin in the market. if you say about the BNB, Litecoin, EOS, but Ethereum is the best for me, But in China, EOS is the top of the Crypto chart, so it depends on your situation, In terms of sustainability and stability, of course, this Canadian based cryptocurrency could come first if the market will get high.
basically im a person that only buys when the value of cryptos are low , so yeah i dont buy when they are starting to recover or have pumped up becaue i think that they are already expensive and the risk that id be facing is high because every highs comes with a dips after but i am aware that there will be people that act oppositely , they buy coins after recovery on when they see its pumping because they think that the coin is alive and will grow more .
Of course I buy ethereum, it has dropped significantly since the last bull run from 1,000 $ to 180 $ now. So it's a good time especially now that our expected bull run is approaching, ethereum will definitely recover and its price will rise again. I've always been vocal about my support for trx and btt and would probably still buy a huge chunk if a run started yesterday. I unerstand why people often choose eth, or ripple, or ltc or ada or stellar, and i'd probably have a number of them in my bag as well. But i've learned somehow how to play with justin sun's coins. As long he doesn't make any blunders, i think these two coins would do well in a bull market.
I would buy altcoins from the TOP twenty of Coinmarketcap. I'll explain my decision. When a few days ago, Bitcoin quickly went up, with him growing together mostly the most highly capitalized coins. A few days later, we also saw a strong rise in the ONT, XLM and some other important coins. Altcoins from the TOP of CMC is in my opinion the best choice in this situation.
i will take a look at the charts and see which coin is actually getting pumped and then buy that coin and stay away from any coin that is just a name with a big hype and already pumped state which has a high chance of getting dumped instead. i don't want to lose money blindly and all those who have been constantly losing money over the past 2 years should know this already!
ALts with good use cases and active team such as DX token by DxchainNetwork, Atomic wallet coin (AWC), Status Network (SNT). You really want to look into that.

If crypto boom started yesterday it does means that they would have surge in value which means you will be buying at a costly price, my dear friend that is a worse idea, you aren't buying when price was down and you decide to buy when price start surging? really this is a stupid idea I don't know if anyone is always on watch about coins that fully respond to bitcoin price movement? i belief those coins can't go wrong at all and they will have better value for example bitcoin cash and Ethereum
I don't know what you are talking about, but there is no cryptocurrency out there whose exchange rate is pegged to that of Bitcoin. Even in the case of Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash, their price movements are not always in sync with that of Bitcoin. For example, the Ethereum prices have fallen by 40% during the last 4-5 months, while Bitcoin is not showing a similar price movement. Bitcoin Cash have also gone down by a similar percentage during the same time. It may have happened in the past, but that is definitely not the case now.
And why?
Presently i don't have anymore coins to buy for long term hold because i have already buy as many as i could unless if price fall further and good coins become very very cheap then i will be forced to keep buying and holding, i am into privacy coins because i think they will have better value in future than now

True, but that doesn't help long term holders like myself. If I thought about short term gains only, I would have no problem buying a bunch of dogecoin and just waiting for it to hit 120 sats again, even tho that might take a year or two. But I'm far more interested in holding for the long term and earning income as a secondary concern. Proof of stake coins that are ranked highly on coinmarketcap are what I'd recommend, tho there aren't that many unfortunately. Neo would be one of them, and Eth regardless of when they start their pos protocol. I don't like listing coins that I own or would buy, because it sounds like shilling and there are too many of these threads in the altcoin section anyway. If you stick with coins near the top rankings on coinmarketcap you probably won't lose either in the short or long term.
