I think its to early to search for a ''next'' Ethereum. I and many more ppl thinks that ETH have a long future and will be easy worth $40-$50 ea.

Im not sure Etherum can long life , seem like crave and paycoin.
risign to the moon then dead  Cheesy

Quoting this so you can eat your words later.

Quoting this so we can all eat it.  Grin

once they realize users won't really sell their bitcoins in exchange for ETH, some price manipulators will tend to support other coins again in hopes bitcoin users will again shift and make the bitcoin value go lower to which they were aiming so they can buy more to gain this halving. seem like a very predictable plan eh.

Bitbay! Easily a hugely undervalued altcoin! Has the only true decentralised marketplace. Has David Zimbeck as the lead Dev (creator of Halo & Nighttrader) and it getting pegged to the dollar to have a stabilised price to avoid huge swings.

It had a dodgy start with the ICO scam but that wasn't their fault & Bob surplus's gang dumped and ran (which is why it's undervalued as people are put off by this) but now after a year that's all gone and the coin has recovered.

It will be a top 20 coin before the end of 2016 for sure

I've spend a good hour looking at Lisk and decided I'm staying well clear. However if it gets listed on Polo I expect it to get some sails and fly for a bit

bitbay sounds interesting.

lisk is a crypti clone...

MAID can do a 20X... they are getting very close to their full MVP

Bitshares if Dan decides to integrate the EVM b/c BTS has figured out the POS scaling issue (and Ethereum has not yet...)

Which coin is the next Ethereum and why?

excellent question.
to that i have to say, such coin is not created yet. the ETH hype has to come to an stop, people dump their coins and go back to bitcoin/fiat and then after they forgot their big losses, a new coin with big promises will come forth.
i say keep an eye out after the ETH dump.

Which coin is the next Ethereum and why?

I'm not sure if the world needs another Ethereum. But if you're interested in discovering the next great cryptocurrency, you should look into Goldcoin (GLD). Our developer is a Cisco systems developer and attended college with Vitalik Buterin.

Our principle mission is to create a bullet-proof blockchain that can be used as a safe haven for value storage. We created the world's first 51% defense system and a difficulty algorithm that outperforms all competitors. Jon Matonis has recently endorsed our plan to fulfill Satoshi's vision.

The word is getting out, the price and volume are rising. This might be a good time to investigate our community-centric commodity. The gold standard of digital currency.

BITBAY! An altcoins with actual tech behind them rather than hype. Well Bitbay has just created  the first ever working decentralised market and is in the process of getting pegged to the dollar. Bitbays led dev is David Zimbeck - the guy who created 'Halo' and 'Night-trader' for Blackcoin. He's behind Bitbay and works on it full-time! We believe it will be added to Poloniex shortly we predict due to the magnitude of development work and they have asked for more information on the pegging.

Gridcoin: Mining consists of running BOINC projects to find Aliens, fold proteins, model the brain,... The whole thing is completely decentralized though, which is quite complicated to make: The network comes to a consensus who has done how much work for which project and this information is stored in a superblock. Gridcoin is based on PoS, but it has a large additional reward on top of PoS depending on how much research was done by this user.

In the past the main problem of Gridcoin was that it was quite complicated to set up, as the whole decentralized proof of research idea is very hard to pull off. But now with the pool (pool.gridcoin.co) mining and participating has become much easier and I expect very large growth. Already now Gridcoin has 1100+ current miners (http://www.gridresearchcorp.com/gridcoin/?result&t=CPID_Leaderboard), and around 87 additionally in the pool (http://pool.gridcoin.co/rankings/).

Also in regards to full nodes, scalability.... Gridcoin has a very elegant way to solve that. Any distributed BOINC project can be supported, so it is possible to create a boinc project that consists of running Gridocin (or also Bitcoin) full nodes. So you get rewarded in GRC for running full nodes, which is an incentive for many people to run full nodes. Mining by running full nodes Smiley

Definitely Lisk !
Next coin will come after ETH dump. It is too early to talk about another big pump and this one still is not finished.
There are no available BTCs for anther good pump. I don't know who gave the promises for success?

Right now ETHEREUM is one of a kind. I can't see any coin competing with ethereum.

So if you want eth buy eth, if you want to real deal go with bitcoin instead.

Dontcha think it's a bit too early to be looking for the next ETH?  We don't even know what it's going to be in the long term--right now we could be in just a pump like most altcoins go through in the beginning.  I realize ETH is supposed to be cryptocurrency 2.0 but as it stands it's unproven.
