Hello mate, as of now if bought xrp when the time that you post, maybe you can gain a x2-4, you have a very good of choosing a coin to invest with. But this time I think its better to invest with exchanges-owned token like Idex,huobi, kcs or okt, something like that. This is only my own opinion/suggestion.

At this point, it is difficult to say which currencies are worth investing in as the full market cap has risen too high now. Every market movement depends on Bitcoin's volatility.
If you invest in the short term think of the altcoin top and the altcoins that have not yet been appreciated on the Binance exchange because there the whales are active.
If you choose to invest in crypto over the long term, then think about projects that are still under development and not listed on major exchanges.

Trx might be fit for your target as the current value still in $ .13 you can still find this coin cheaper considering the last time high.
if you have enough fund then placing your investment to this coin might work for you.

In regards to XRP, you said it that everyone have their own opinions about to where to invest their money, and if those XRP followers
see good opportnities expect them to continue investing.

If you come sooner, I would advice you to invest your money in binance coin because I can see the potential within. HOwever, it is quite too late because binance coin has gained a huge rally from investors recently. Actually, you are able to earn with BNB if you invest right now but 100% is the maximum profit you can make.

If you are keen to learn more about cryptocurrency, there are many underrated projects which give you more profit than other bitcoin. However, efforts and time are crucial to make researches because it will distribute you more knowledge on whether the project is good to invest or not.

What’s the latest with this ripple’s case for now, because I have not been able to be following up with what’s happening, I have a job and I spend my whole working and have not time to be checking for all these updates.
Earlier when the case started the price of ripple in the market was heavily affected and that’s includes the market cap and that, I believe, caused it to drop from the top three position to the fourth position and being overtaken by another crypto currency. And even now I can’t tell what’s the current situation, but the price has been going up as of recent, so it might make a good choice for investment.

Then as for Tron, it has been trend where I live, everyone is always talking about Tron, and I believe that’s the same thing with other places , so Tron is definitely one of the best choices you’re going to make. Since you have diversify with the $500, Stellar can be good as well.

The best pick this time is not to choose the top altcoins, their prices are already high, and the risk is also high. I'd rather have to go to the top 20-50 coins, there are more of them that are expecting to make an x5, x10 profit. But that you need to spend more time digging.

However, you'll never consider them for a long-term investment because these coins will like the first to dump once it reaches its ATH. Therefore, it is a need for you then to monitor its price so will never miss it.

I don't know if if you know what happened into Xrp, were it pumped the price in the market around 118%, and one more thing Tron as well has potential to increase also in the future just don't know when the exact date will go up in the market, then thirdly, Dot is the anohter coin that has a nice nice price that will also give a nice profit to its holders for sure, lets just wait and see only.
