I am not into DragonChain because I they did not set a hard cap for the ICO, they just accepted all the money that people threw at them. They have an active GitHub I rekon, but I don't think they are a great player.

I think a coin that will last in 2018, that depends on the development in developing a project in a move the coin that many large investors who are interested and menamamkan his money on the project by having the great potential. the coin is, among others, cartaxi, bitcoin, eth, and CHSB. maybe more there are a few coin which have great potential

It's hard to say. The coins with big market cap may survive longer, and i prefer eth and neo.

There are so many altcoins that can survive this year but there will also be some that won't. Survival of an altcoin depends on so many factors and one of that would be the development of its project or technology which somehow attracts investors. As for me, the coins that have high potential are eth, avt, litecoin, ripple, and kick.

It looks like a noob question for me. All the coins on the blockchain network are on a purpose. They will be used for many uses. Why will they die? But there are only very few coins which will end.

Definitely not the coin with the weakest link and coins with complicated features. The sure cins that will survive are those top 10 in the ranks like Ripple, Litecoin, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, ec. and etc. This coins are becoming more stable and strong in the cyptoworld. What more could you ask for if you have these. Coins that are on top of the list these year just prove there number base on there numbers its just right for it to be there.

I think BTC will survive, but only if the devs do the work needed to lower transaction costs and make it more mass-market ready. It has first mover advantage, but I'm nervous that it'll get outmaneuvered.

I see ETH and LTC as contenders for the top spot.

DCR, DASH, and several privacy coins (both in terms of currencies and hosting capabilities) are going to be fighting for a spot after that, especially due to regulations in some countries around the world.

I can see Sia bumping up a little bit, but it depends on if they get buy-in from consumers. Either way, 2018 is going to be an interesting year for them because their dedicated miners are going to be arriving.

I have my eye on a few coins that are up and comers, but cutting through all the BS in the whitepapers is tough. It's all up in the air after that.

In my opinion, the top 5 is the crypto currency in 2018 and for which the future is:
1. Universa (20,000 thousand transactions per second, smart contracts, commissa)
2. Ethereum (smart contracts)
3. IOTA (Internet technology of things)
4. Cardano (impossible to crack)
5. ICON (unite all the blockrooms into one)
6. Bitcoin (Digital gold)
Firstly, they are very promising technologies, and secondly, in my opinion, these projects have a great team of developers.

Probably all the coins that have been around for more than three years should be able to last this year also because they already have active development and community around them. One thing is sure that all the scam coins will not exist before end of 2018

From your list I would really choose BTC, ETH and IOTA. I do not really trust other coins and will list my own coins here. Apart form your list and my chosen three coins I am up with SCL, JNT, and XRP this time. These are hot topics now a days choosing these currency at this point is perfect choice. XRP which is already on the verge of exploding the market has got booming response and already went to 2nd position in the total market. The dominance for it has increased a lot and this is juts the beginning believe. In the same way SCL, JNT will also follow which are completely new ICO's in the market. They have working model plus pre-launched products which makes them even better way of finding the right investment opportunity. So you may wanna watch out these cons for the year 2018.

I think the question is more to trading. For that just look at the exchanges site. If the exchanges doesnt kick out the coin so it will survive for long. Doesnt care if it shit or not.

I would only choose btc, the and monero in your list. you may need to be careful for the others. just piece of advice.

I have dent and mona as my secondary portfolio. my main portfolio is btc, eth and waves. I had more alt coins but it was difficult to manage and control so I decided to minimize them.
