Which countries do online gambling companies choose to be based on ? Why ? In other words, which countries are friendly for setting up such a business ?
Mostly African countries I think because where no strict rules and corrupted government so if someone want to create gambling site they can d that from their domain with much less efforts when compared to other developed countries. But I hope the country will be based on where the owner of the site from which can be much helpful to face legal issues but for that the gambling needs to be legal there.

It's very safe with the African countries but unfortunately i don't see many servers being hosted in that part of the world , maybe south Africa but even the up-time speed of severs in that region i doubt could compare to those in the western world and Asia but if you don't mind the technical challenges then hosting a gambling website in Africa is perfect as their laws aren't strict.

I've seen several countries in the Carribbean, like Curacao, being used because of their last policies towards crypto gambling and low costs for a gambling site. Malta's also another popular one that most people are aware of, I'm sure. If you want more examples, just go to any online crypto casino here and scroll down to the bottom of their webpage. You'll find the country they're based in there.

GB is a huge crypto Ponzi target, partially because of how easy it is to create a fake company and all there. Most Ponzis claiming to be incorporated and insured will be located somewhere in GB as a result.

Yep, those countries are really like a safe haven for gambling sites and I think they really targeted them because they offered low fees and applying a license is very fast and you can start operating your business anytime as long as you have the money. Their government is leaning towards gambling business because it can be rewarding to their economy as well.

My answer to you may not be the right or exact one that you're looking for but when I read your inquiry for the first time, one principle that popped out from my mind is that online gambling companies will definitely base their operation to those countries that legally accept such kind of business. Many people are unaware that there are still many countries out there that treat gambling business as a bad sector to included in their society. And, I'm sure that these countries will much likely be avoided by online gambling companies.

It depends on their target market. If online casinos want players from the UK, then they must have a license from the UK gambling commission, no matter where they are globally situated. Online gambling companies that accept players from the USA are usually based in places like Panama and Costa Rica.

As each and every activity takes place through the internet, only an approval from respective government is a MUST. Some gambling sites operate from different countries, so to avoid interruptions if any one of the government restrict also it'll function without flaws. I'm not sure about the reality, but from my thought european countries were preferred mostly and in Asian countries Macau seems to be the chosen country.

If we're talking about crypto gambling sites I'd say Estonia or Great Britain because these countries check in every aspect. They allow gambling, have positive attitude towards cryptos, have stable financial and political situation and allow for fast and cheap registration of a business. If you're asking about normal gambling businesses, check out the top 5 gambling cities. You can google it.
Great Britain is my lovely country but as I see it's not that hard to run scam website here, I mean almost all hype with SSL certificate is UK based.
Also as we see, bitcoin websites aren't based on countries user down below posted. They choose curaccao, why? Because for a lot of reason, firstly consider bitcoin regulations and this country is free from it, then consider how much you have to pay in budget, how your service is stored safely to get rid of any problems and a lot.

When I think of countries being associated with gambling, the few that come to find immediately are:

1) Costa Rica
2) Malta
3) UK
4) Canada

Well based on the many popular gambling sites that exists these days, they all end up with io which is Indian ocean, .io sites are expensive but they are high qualify, and they are crypted which means where ever you are in the world you can get this domaine and none will know where you are, but for the most part gambling companies seem to always be set up in eastern Europe, like Russia where gambling is not prohibited.

First of all there are so few to select from to start with. Which narrows down the options to a handful of decent places. I have seen people mention costa rica, macau, las vegas, panama and many countries like that but this is online gambling, first of all it is almost impossible to get license in las vegas anyway. So you need to get one outside, malta is the only common place where all companies can get an online gambling license and be really legit.

Mostly picking countries with the easiest/cheapest corporation setup. A lot of this companies just try to simply stay away from red tape, as it can delay development/launch. At the end of the day, some countries are just more friendly/supportive of online gambling websites & ventures than others.

Since online gambling is not illegal and that you can choose to gamble as long as you have the proper documentation but most people go to specific countries to set up their gambling business because they find it easy to acquire the documentation to start their business.

I really don't understand your question but if you want to operate a online gambling business, of course you need to get a license from gambling friendly countries like Curacao, Malta, Gibraltar or Costa Rica. I don't know about Macau although is Asia's equivalent of Las Vegas I don't think they allow giving out online license yet.

I wanted to ask that if you have to start an online gambling website and had the option to choose from any country all over the world, what would be your pick ?

Hope I am clear now.

Which countries do online gambling companies choose to be based on ? Why ? In other words, which countries are friendly for setting up such a business ?

In general ...

Europe
If you are based in Europe, or IF you want to reach out to the 741.4 million of People in Europe with your gambling Company, you should definitely start up your business in Malta and apply for a MGA license.

US
There is some states in the US that allow online gaming, for example New Jersey, so if you have a strong media channel in NJ, you should apply for the NJ License.

But its more up to what you want with your business and what kind of gaming service you want to provide? Casino, Sportsbetting, Poker, Dices, Bingo ...

Setting up a gambling business? well I do believe that you can set it up on Macau if you are in Asia and I guess also in India as per news that gambling there is now regulated.
