Blockscan doesnt show transaction happening within the network which the majority of gemz transactions happen. 60k active users per month and additional 15k new donwloads per month, but activity is not just transactions, using the getgems app counts aswell, earning, tipping, gambling, tapping on airdrop, inviting friends all count. Dogecoin adoption rate is lower than gg imo.

Dogecoin is decentralized. What happens in gemz is centralized transactions between client apps mediated by the gemz server, what you have in paypal but own currency. Very few gemz txs are decentralized, settled on Counterparty.

Mainstream doesnt care dude, you can make it decentralised if you care, just send to an address outside the network thats not the point and not the point of this topic, its about userbase, dogecoin is dead mem is dying, its adoption rate is much lower compared. Bitcoin is centralised aswell if u think about it, same will happen to ethereum, its all about network effect.

I know the mainstream doesn't care. The point is if you take out the gemz server the system is unusable, the gemz server is a single point of failure. It'll be a pain to use these tokens on Counterparty. It's like Facebook credits, video games credits. Different league.

#2 in transactions is Ether, and #3 is Doge. Litecoin and Dash have pitiful transactions by comparison.

https://dogechain.info/statistics
DOGE has about 600/hr

To date iOS alone has over 75,000 downloads and about ~46,000 monthly active. Over 5,000,000 session in the last 30 days. These are very good retention metrics and we're constantly working on improving.

This is iOS only, not counting Android.

I think getgems takes first, it has more than 60k monthly active users.

that's the messaging app users, there is a difference.

All the users have their own gemz wallet with gemz having usecases in the app, you can gamble with it, buy giftcards with it, buy ads with it so the app has its own micro economy with gemz as the main currency.

they can. but do they? they don't need gemz to use the app for messaging.

If you look at reviews you see the majority talks about earning gemz, majority downloads it because it offers such thing. If it reaches 1m downloads atleast 500k would use the currency imo, right now its at 100k downloads.

I don't know man, the design is bad cause it's tied to bitcoin, it is slow and you must buy bitcoin to transact gemz, why not transact bitcoin in the first place?

9675 debit / credit transactions from block 373575 to block 405403, divide by two, 0.016 tx a minute. You can say it is used?

Thats because majority of transaction happen within the network which is free and instant.

Is this a centralized server-client model type of network?

Things are called shit for a reason, dear.
Months ago, it definetely was Dogecoin, but Ethereum should cut ahead of Dogecoin. Monero and GetGemZ do also have a big userbase.
