I'm more interested in Matic / polygon, besides having good value, polygon is also safe for transactions because it has a strong network and it's also faster for us to do it. I'm interested in using polygon/matic for that reason

If it was a generalized cryptocurrency question then I would always choose to have my payment in Bitcoin and definitely if bitcoin wasn’t in the option I would then prefer stable coins.

If this question was only meant for Altcoin alone then I have no other choice than to go with Ethereum. I am a type of investor that tries to minimize my risk that why I go for the best option rather than gamble.
bitcoin and ethereum are the first coins to be chosen as a payment alternative for a business, and stable coins, sometimes using USDT. Personally, I would also only pick those coins at the businesses I own. that's because bitcoin and ethereum are coins that are very popular and trusted. while USDT is the most widely used stable coin today. in fact, many threads are trying to accept bitcoins in their business. I think there will be very many people who choose bitcoin in this case.

When it comes to receiving payments, no need to form what I am not, I'll ask to be paid in stablecoin and preferably USDT.
The reason for me is simple, in the real world we deal with fiat currency and it is easier to convert stablecoins to fiat money than any other crypto per time.

For gift and donations, I am open to receiving payments in any top 50 crypto on CMC.

Do not let yourself be confused about the massive number of altcoins that exist, of the ten of thousands of coin we have on the market only a handful are used to pay for services, the rest are used only to speculate and to scam investors.

On my experience the coins most often used to acquire a service online are bitcoin, ethereum, stable coins and dogecoin, if you can accept those coins then you can accept payments from the majority of the market participants, as they are holding at least one of those different coins and they can pay you with it.
Yes, without us knowing it every year there are always new coins added, and you are right that among them there are coins that only deceive investors. Indeed, for those of us who have been in this space for a longer time, maybe we will not be too confused to see which coins do not end in fraud, but for beginners, of course, this will be very confusing for them. In fact, I have been asked several times by friends who are new to cryptocurrencies and the coins they ask are fraudulent coins.
Regarding which coins can accept bitcoin payments is always the first choice, but other than that maybe I like bnb more and then stable coins.

Of course, the best payment option is stablecoins. So you will at least approximately be on a par with the dollar. And so I would accept payment in any cryptocurrency, at least from the top 30

That's really crazy, though I feel a little bit underwhelmed sometimes since I've been already in crypto for 6 years almost and knowing that 40k coins that we have right now is a bit....underwhelming though I would not be surprised that there are more than uncounted crypto coins inside those 40k considering how many just turned out to be a scam.

Bitcoin is still the way to go if you're okay with the volatility. You might be able to just get away with it through converting it right away to your local currency. Here in my country, we have an app that can do that.

couple of years back it was 6000+ cryptocurrencies now 12000? But bitcoin still dominating the market over 50% which is really showing what is preferred among the crypto community either for payment or holding.

Bitcoin is almost perfect now since the implementation of lightning network so its cheap and instant which is required to be accepted as means of payment so I don't find other coins required to me atleast only for me.
I think it is close to 20k+ by now, with unlisted ones making it as high as 40k+ at the moment. Of course those unlisted ones are terrible and shouldn't be considered, but the 20k number is a real number by now, they are listed at either cmc or listed in other places but the total is there and the lower you get the worse it gets as well.

You get to see things that you could make in 10 minutes and somehow they are listed and it shocks you. In the end, bitcoin is obviously the best and will stay the best because nothing else could come close to how decentralized it is and there could never be a problem for it, not with it directly, what you can do with it could be a problem, but not anything about bitcoin at default.

in general, I'd go with Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, USDT, and BUSD. I chose Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BNB out of the many cryptos because I believe those three coins are the most used for transactions. other than that, people tend to be familiar with the three coins. So, I think, that's for the best. while for stablecoins, I will choose USDT and BUSD. this is because the two stablecoins are the most widely used, and I use them the most.
However, I might add a few tokens depending on the situation. if there are still potential tokens and the community is huge, then I might consider those tokens as a payment alternative.

As we all know, Bitcoin  is the most popular and widely accepted cryptocurrency for payments, with many merchants and businesses accepting it as a form of payment. But in reality, people in my country still not using bitcoin as  a payment, instead they are using it as a form of investments. Come to think of it, whenever bitcoin's price sudden increase, will it be use still as a payment form? Not really. Let's always consider the level of adoption in some other countries.

Honestly, as a crypto lover, I will gladly accept any cryptocurrency if the right circumstances require it to be used for payment. However, understanding the issue of what you are talking about makes me realize that there was a lot of information about applying crypto in life before, but there are some good points with this, but so far, I think a lot of acceptance is needed. As more countries and continents adopt crypto, we will see which one will gain the trust of people.

Bitcoin.
That's the current crypto that I'm happy to receive and send transactions with. I've got experience in XRP, LTC, TRX, and some others too and they're also good, to be honest.
While the fees really change and sometimes the cheapest one can be the most expensive one. It depends on the network of these cryptos on how clogged they are. This is the reason why I keep on exploring any available option so that I can test the speed, reliability and fee of each networks so I can tell if I'm satisfied or not based on what I am hearing about them.

Actually, it depends on the situation, but my priority would be stablecoins. However, if it is not possible to pay with stable coin, I would definitely prefer nothing but Bitcoin. I must say for sure that it is the most reliable. Sometimes it makes me nervous to accept Bitcoin as a means of payment because its price is volatile. So, if I get paid in stablecoin, I can buy Bitcoin at my target price whenever I want.

It is my own rational attitude that shapes my preference.

Bitcoin and then any other coin I can easily liquidate into bitcoin.  Problem is microtramsactions.  In that case it's probably easier to move in litecoin amd then transfer over to bitcoin. Either way no matter what protocol you are using it's showing this little crypto experiment is working Smiley

Surprising isn't it? It just shows that cryptos have come a long way but we must not be really proud of it since most of these coins are just junks and only going to take away the money of the investors. There's no need to question the dominance of BTC because it was the first crypto and without it, there will be no other cryptos.

Lightning network can work better compared to any other altcoins but I think the support of it up until now is still low therefore people are still being forced to use bitcoin and other alternative cryptos. If we are a business owner we can still promote lightning network on it or this will be the one that will be using when sending money to our loved ones.

Bitcoin, most of the times, if it is an option.
Otherwise, I can settle with some stablecoin on a popular network I can exchange later for Bitcoin if I wish to do so.

I am also open to popular altcoins with high exchange listing and liquidity: Litecoin, Dash, BNB, etc. I usually avoid taking ether and token in that network because of how high the fees can be at all times.

I will certainly prefer Bitcoin before any of these other alternative coins. I'm more relaxed in making payments with Bitcoin, I know other altcoins charge lower fees and faster transactions, but I'm married to the bitcoin system already and a lot more versatile in initiating.

Yes, almost everyone here prefers Bitcoin, and there were times in our history wherein it is universally accepted, many merchants try to and as much as they want to, some of them have to cut though because of Bitcoin's volatility.

And so there are a lot of alternatives, but similar though, it's the fluctuations like ETH that did it for the merchants.

So I'm not sure if there will be crypto that will be accepted, but I do hope that it will be the top 2 coins BTC and ETH.

What the hell man? When did we reach the mark of 20,000 coins in the market. I’m very lucky to leave the altcoin market real soon because looking at the growing number of coins it’s a waste bin for sure. What are the project ideas behind them and who are forming these coins man? Do they even have real utility? I’m gonna speak for myself, I left the altcoin market when I saw 1500 coins back in 2016 which was literally a lot for me to choose from. Here we are with 20k coins and counting. Just funny and I can’t take it.

I am good with bitcoin. It’s clean, it’s high volume asset and makes me closer to crypto home.
