You could use Binance since it provides the whole package in one. Spot and futures trading, staking, lending and borrowing, Deposits and Withdrawals both in crypto and fiat even from the UK so long as you are OK with KYC.

Here is a guide on how you can make deposits  -How to deposit to Binance by bank transfer with UK Bank?

Hi All,

Totally new to crypto so please be gentle!

I want to buy some bitcoin but would like some recommendations as to which Exchange to use. A friend says Coinbase is the best but I am already having issues with them and I havent even placed a trade yet (I opened an account on Coinbase Pro, waited for my account to become approved, got an email saying I can now buy via card but not link a UK bank account. So I went to buy with a card only to be told the account is still under review so I can't fund the account. The other issue is that the Coinbase Pro screen is awful especially the charting - why can't I see a full size chart or resize/hide parts of the screen? and why only 12 and 26 day MA?).

Anyway, so I thought whats the number 2 choice?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Silver

I believe you are from the UK and the reason why you can't link UK bank account or debit/credit card is because the new rules set by FCA does not allow retailer investment in cryptocurrency. You need forget about buying crypto with your card and buy using bank transfer through peer to peer.

Hi there and welcome.

I've used coinbase before and registration to purchase took me only about 10 hours or so. Well, it's couple years back plus I'm pretty sure things differs with countries as well.
Next choice you should try binance.com

As of charting try tradingview.com or I like charts at bitfinex.com as well.

EDIT: also take a look at cex.io
I think it's UK company.

I would assume you want to mostly trade cryptocurrencies.
What do you most look for in an exchange; liquidity, security, privacy etc?

Exchanges are compared using a number of factors, so it is quite difficult to pick a number one exchange, most trackers use the trading volume metric, but that alone is not sufficient to pick an exchange

Anyway, so I thought whats the number 2 choice?
Binance is an alternative option for centralized exchanges, and for decentralized you can opt for hodlhodl or bisq; they may be a bit lacking in liquidity when compared with CEXes.
