Yeh cause i can get these cheaper 1 fan GTX1060 cards, i mean it can save me some petrol money , so why not?
As long as they are not useless?
I mean i dont understand why they are small boards and then 1 fan only? does this mean the cards dont perform well do they didnt need to make them larger and have 2 fans?

For ETH the RX 470 will be better. There is simply no overall better rating - it all comes down to what you want to mine, your electricity costs and your budget.

i tried it and i got like 1-2 increase.

You need custom timing for optimal performance.

It was already all said, with a GTX1060 3GB you will not be able to mine ETH alike coins soonish. But the GTX1060 3GB has a very good price/performance ratio for equihash.

So u reckon still the GTX 1060 is as good as an RX470... if it were a little less in price it may be because of the memory from 4Gb to 3GB, right?
Soonish as in next year , so i am happy with that, i dont see ETH Dag being more than 4GB this year or early next year still as it is said in articles, right ?

Of the 3 cards i listed above , which would you take?

I thought the RX5 series were rubbish which is why i avoided them and rather went wit RX4 whatever i could get.

I wanted to get the AMD RX470 ASUS mining edition which is about 4100 in my currency and then i saw the GTX 1060 for 3699 ,i mean if i save 400 bucks i will take.
As long as they perform very closely... so wanted to be sure.
What is Zotac like? They have the Zotax 2 fan 3GB version.

Zotac is good. They have both dual fan and single fan cards. I suggest to get always dual fan graphic cards for mining as dual fans have better cooling. Anyway the Zotac is the cheapest card and I have not tried them in mining.

My favorites in mining are as follows:
Gainward 3 GB -290 sol/s Zcash and 22.45 Mhash in Ethereum (overclocked)
Palit Stormx 3GB 280-287 sol/s Zcash and 22.37 Mhash in Ethereum (overclocked)
Gigabyte 3 GB 270-285 sol/s Zcash and 22.4 Mhash in Ethereum (overclocked)

Looking right now at the Gtx1060 6GB and I see there are SSC, FTW+ and FTW2.
I am a little lost at which one would be better and the FTW's are $110 difference.

You will be fine with 3gb cards until Nov 18 they say.. You can try mining some other algorthyms with 3 gb cards (Equihash) and you will be getting almost the same rewards.

I am sad the RX470s are hard to get or actually almost impossible as they have been discontinued.

I was told there is more that u can do, more tweaking and not just boot straps.

Yes, it's long until you won't be able to mine ethereum with 3gb cards. But most likely you won't even be doing at all if you but gtx 1060. They rarely come with samsung memory anymore, so you can expect less than 20 mhs and very low profit. So better go with other algorithms. 3 gb versions are only 5-10% slower than 6gb cards, so if the price differs more than that - go for 3gb.

U reckon the GTX 1060 is fine right ? 3GB.
For me i just dont want to pay over 4 grand for a card its ridiculous.

I am just making sure i dont make a mistakle buying nvidia as apposed to AMD BUT maybe its good for to test the waters...
I used to have a GTX 650 , what a useless slow card , and then all the miners i wanted to use were only for AMD which is why i bought 1 RX470 card.

the i see they are impossible to get again so i can buy a second card, but i then see they have these mining editions not sure if they inferior or gimicks or if they are the same design and speed and stuff
but if you reckon GTX 1060 is good enough then maybe i can go for it.
