OP asked about mining Litecoin, and that is about 1.4 times as profitable using AMD GPUs, so that particular post was particulary misleading.
And Litecoin will never be merged mined  Roll Eyes
Coinotron stats is a BS. Calculate yourself, wheres more profit, for example my hardware 960 khash LC vs 1020 mhash BC. Who wins?

I can't see how raw Hashes/Second can be relevant to profitability.

 OMG. facepalm.jpg Ok.

 960 khash = 87.0478 LTC PPS or 0.3421 ฿ per 24h

 1020 mhash = 0.358 ฿ PPS per 24h
Understandable enough? Now go mine litecoins.

I guess I'll stick with bitcoin as not to jeopardize that guy's profitability on his litecoin.

Coinotron isn't counting in all the chains one can merged-mine alongside bitcoin though by the look of it.

So far Bitcoin for gpus is a little more profitable. Can't say about cpus, not mining on them.

nice try

Title says it all.

From what I've seen bitcoin mining is much easier to set up and get it working, while litecoin mining is much more underdeveloped, especially for GPUs.

Is it still more profitable than bitcoin mining like it once was? Or should I stick with bitcoins?
