Bitcointalk forum board you're to concentrate on depends on what you wish to learn about or where your interests of contribution lies. All the boards are important and also filled with contributions from top ranking members of the forum to help all.
There firum is big enough to accommodate anything we want to talk about without missing the track. Since there are different boards where we can write depending on what we intend to learn and give opinion about. It is very important for us to know that every board has there own contents and it will be off point for us to go write on a board that does not contain what we plan writing on or want to read. It is just like going to the trading section to gain some knowledge about what a newbies ought to know and other rules that will keep them safe here. It is very important for us to always write where it is pertaining to the kind of information we want to pass or get.

Gambling, economics and politics are not related to Bitcoin education, you should often engage in discussions on Bitcoin discussion boards and how to store them safely. You can use the H&B Board to ask something that is still stuck in your mind, the rest you can also enjoy pinned threads to add knowledge to develop yourself from what you want to learn. The 14 merits that you get from different users indicate that you understand well how the forum works well, continue to develop your potential to become a member who is able to contribute to the forum in the future.

I'm beginning to understand the forum better by the day, but I'm still under a learning process, cause we learn everyday and I'm big on receiving advise from older members
I find it easier to post on gambling, economics, politics and several others, but I want to know which board to focus more on as a newbie, what's your say on this? I'm open to learning from your opinions.
When I was still new to the forum, I focus mostly on beginners and help because that’s the section which I believe that things will be broken down to my understanding, which really helped me a lot, but their are different sections on the forum here where you can learn about different things. You can even visit your local board to learn about thing’s happening in your local society, their are different sections here in the forum, and am sure that any of the section which you visit, you are going to learn from their. The forum is sub divided so that you can know the appropriate section to visit when you are having any information, but every section is very useful on the forum here.

because you are in a forum that basically discusses bitcoin then you should also focus on trying to make a post in the bitcoin section in the discussion, you can ask questions about anything there (as a newbie) while the other sections are where you express your opinion because it has nothing to do with whether you are a newbie or a senior in the gambling, economics and politics section.

Stupid question, every section on this forum are well labeled and anyone who can read will know where they are heading, if you are into Bitcoin then Bitcoin discussion is the right place, if you are into Bitcoin mining then the Bitcoin mining section is right for you,  it's same with altcoins and altcoins mining sections, there are gambling sections and reputation board too.

I found this question stupid because you knew that this topic you created is suited for beginners and help board, how did you know this? As you can see, you asked a stupid question, this forum is not confusing at all but you made it look that way.

At least you have places you find interesting to post and I believe you have so much ideas and contributions to add to those mentioned boards (that's was how I started). I'd advise you to continue posting on those boards but try as much as you can to involve yourself on other boards like Bitcoin Discussion, Meta etc because there would be a time that you have to involve yourself on those boards more than your preferred boards, when you keep doing that it won't be like a new thing to you.

I think local board is the right choice. I learned a lot at the local board, the members on the local board warmly welcome new members like me. It's the same on this board. In addition to the local board, Beginners & Help. Looks like we are one generation, have the same activities. Let's fight together to be consistent in this forum. I think besides learning the forum rules, what's more difficult is being consistent

This forum is very broad, you can post anywhere as long as you understand well what is discussed there. You have described one by one the Boards that have been involved in the discussion there during your journey on the forum so far, understand the forum better day by day the form of improvement process that you have gone through so far. It really depends on your goals and what you want to learn here, if you want to learn about Bitcoin, you can focus on the Bitcoin discussion board. Every Board in the forum has a lot of knowledge if you know how to take it, never be lazy to read to help you understand even more knowledge in the forum.

It depends on which section you want to focus on. Generally, this board, Beginners & Help is where newbies navigate as this board focuses on beginner querying and helping discussions. However, if you seek to explore thoroughly other sections such as Bitcoin, then you might want to check out the Bitcoin section. On the other hand, if you want to learn more about the forum, like its rules, then check out the Meta board.
I highly suggest you read first the Help menu which you can find here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=help

Good luck!

all boards are good in my opinion whether it's for beginners or not, in the end it will all depend on individual interests and potential. knowing and exploring each board is recommended for beginners as apart from adding to reading material and knowledge it will broaden understanding of the forum.
once you have visited the various discussion boards you will understand for yourself which discussion boards you are more able to develop your potential to contribute actively and constructively to the forum.
In general, beginners will focus first on the Beginners and Help boards until they really understand how to work or the concepts in this forum, but what's more important is that every beginner has read and first understood the existing rules so that beginners don't do things to their own detriment by breaking the rules.

Beginners & Help is the best board for newbies, you can get good answers from the threads ask by other newbies. Then also you can ask any question which is related to crypto or any other forum related stuff.

Other than that its your choice on which board you want to focus since every forum member have their own niche or what board they like. For sure you discover this when you are consistent posting here since you will find those things more entertaining.

Also for now best to explore many threads so that you can accumulate more idea on what topics are been discussed by other users here.
OP can explore other boards like bitcoin discussion. But Beginners & help is the best board for newbies to learn, second Local board is best for learning about the forum and bitcoin and blockchain if the local board is rich enough with information.

Well if you are really a newbie then it's best to explore the community first. So I guess there's no such thing as newbie friendly board here. Everything is for everyone, be it a newbie or if you have been here in the community for so long.

So just read interesting topics or posts and understand it. Well that's good if you can post in the gambling board, because there are a lot of good topics if you are into sports and sports betting or any other games like slot machines, roulette, or poker.

Just continue to grow and learn in this community and don't violate any forum rules.

The forum alone has a lot of variety of topics, some may suit your interest and some may hard for you to understand. But if I were you, you don’t have to limit yourself to those who only make you interested to learn but also deal with those topics too that you feel you hardly understand. The more you don’t understand the topic, the more research you need to undergo. You need to be familiar on all topics in the forum, and not just on those few ones that are keeping your will and interest.

I understand you correctly?
At first I also thought that what's the purposes of asking this question because he could have been more specific like which board to post certain stuff or learn from but as you said he might be looking for some active boards where he can write more posts to get merits or come into notice but can't say for sure. But after your post I checked for his history and he need to work and mainly focus on learning which will help him in that way also.

Based on when I started on the forum, the Bitcoin discussion board was my favorite place because I really wanted to learn more about Bitcoin than anything else. My second favorite board was the Economic Board, and that's because I love anything investment-related and money management-related, and I am good at sharing my own experience and knowledge too. After that, the Beginers and Help Board is my favorite place to obtain new knowledge from others and also share in the experiences of newbies and other members. I am not very good at political stuff (not as if am bad either), so I don't do well on the board and a few other boards, but I mostly go in those boards to read very helpful threads about Bitcoin and other helpful stuffs. Boards like Wallet Software, Bitcoin Technical Support, Development and Technical Discussion. Those are boards that have some sort of very educational thread to help you on your bitcoin journey. Even if you cannot contribute to comments there, you can learn from what others are saying if you remain active on the very boards where you can make a healthy contribution.

Am sure you are going to learn from the forum here, just ask about what you dont understand and you will get your answer for free here, and also you can make meaning full contribution to other peoples post, but make sure you understand the forum rules and regulation so that you wont go against it. You can learn in any section of the forum, depending on what you want to learn about, if you go through the forum, you will see different sections and you will see that information's are being shared in every sections. The most interesting part is that the forum is having local boards which you can meet with people in your region, which you can communicate with them locally.

But as a beginner and you want to learn about basics of bitcoin, then i believe Beginners and Help is the best place which you are suppose to be visiting often, and if you cant really speak English fluently, then you can learn from your local board.

The forum is like a whole nation all by itself, with different sections for different interests and everyone having their own ideal location where they may freely engage. Because Bitcoin is so vast, it can be very challenging for some individuals to comprehend everything about it. Instead, you should focus on the aspects that most interest you. There are people who are overly interested in mining and the technical aspects of bitcoin and so they spend most of their time on those sections and also there are people who love gambling and most of their posts and discussions are about gambling.

You should spend the majority of your time as a newbie on discussion boards that will advance your understanding of bitcoin, such as beginners and help, development and technical discussions, and bitcoin discussions. You may expand your knowledge on these boards and learn more about how bitcoin works. Once you have a basic understanding of bitcoin, you can go on to other sections.

It totally depends on your desire.Because a person is more happy in the language that is his mother tongue So if there is a local board in his mother tongue then I think that board is suitable for him to become a new member. But it's also a very appropriate threat to the newbie members you posted on the board.

OP, your post history is already five pages long, and you're still asking which board you should post on.
It would be right to ask you the question, "For what purpose are you here?"
Just let's not be cunning and say that you are new to crypto. I see posts where you write that you have bitcoins—that is, you have experience with them.

That's a very good question you just asked, because that someone is a newbie on this forum doesn't mean he/she is a complete newbie/beginner to Crypto/Bitcoin related stuff, because your purpose of coming to this forum will determine which board to focus more on, such as we have Trading Discussion (i.e Best place to learn about trading Bitcoin), Mining (i.e For those who intend to learn how to mine Bitcoin) and Development & Technical Discussion (i.e Best place to learn about how to develop projects that work on the Bitcoin blockchain & accept Bitcoin), e.t.c.

But on a general, the best board I can recommend to every newbie to help you understand the forum is this board Beginners & Help (i.e which offers a medium for beginners like you to ask questions and get answers from experience members like us about the forum), Meta (i.e which help you to understand about latest happenings on the forum) and lastly your "Local board" i.e Russia, Philippines, German e.t.c, which helps you to connect with like-minded people interested in Bitcoin in your various locality.

It all depends on where your interest lies be it that yours might be different from mine and if I should tell you from my own very perspective of interest it may or may not be helpful to you as it has been for me.

There are plenty boards in the forum and all are of benefit to a newbie based on what actually brought them to the forum. Though it's mostly advisable that as newbies the starting ladder of focus should be in the beginners and help board followed by bitcoin discussion board and any other board could depend on your interest. For instance, if you're an enthusiast trader then you can add the Trading discussion board to your menu and any other that meet your interest still.

As a beginner or as a newbie your best board to post is this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0. this where you can asked questions like this nd make contributions. You learn a lot of things from this board then you can go out to any other boards that you can make quality contributions. You are not restricted to any board. If the board is okay for you to make comments then you can do that. All what you to do is to read more as other have told you before. Any board you visit, make sure you read the guidelines (rules) of the board so that you will not violate the regulations or the policies. Do well to explore the forum for your good advantage.

Sincerely, you aren't limited to any board unless you were required to do so, or as a paid service.

As a newbie, it is expected to be very conversant with the 'Beginner and Help' section, because this is where most of the questions you may ponder upon, during your time here, either may have already been discussed or someone must have highlighted it, unknowingly.

There's no saying that if you get to surf through other boards and you see a topic that you have an idea/opinion/interest in, that you can't candidly indulge in by contributing to the discussion.
The boards you mentioned mostly have interesting discussions and if you frequent them and learn while also contributing with research links and latest information and comments(unless restricted), you would have just found your best board yet.

All the boards in the forum are all significant to make yourself educated and be knowledgeable about the crypto market. So you don’t have to only read what’s your line of interest but make an effort to read and understand all important topics listed in the forum. Soon everything will paid off and you will realize that what you put at the start are now making yourself having an edge in the forum. Just do your own diligence to do most of the time researching, that is the best way so you can easily understand the crypto market scenarios and events.

OP, there are no true answers to your question... I think it has to do with your interest, which section of the boards are you interested in? What's the primary reason why you are here? Like you said that you find it more easier to post in the gambling, economic and politics boards. Actually, these are just extras to spice up the forum and you shouldn't spent more time there if you truly want to garner knowledge about bitcoin. The primary reason we are here is to learn about bitcoin so the bitcoin discussion and beginners and help board should be a great start. Then, you can digress to other sections or boards based on your desire to learn new things and improve your person.

If you find these boards easier to post in, keep on posting there for now; but do not limit your reading to only those boards, there is so much to learn about Bitcoin in other boards, and if you start reading in the boards where people post things about Bitcoin, you'd learn quite a lot and after sometime you'll also find it easier to post there. One thing you should not do is put yourself under pressure or try to impress when you clearly do not have the knowledge to, read more for now.

It all depends on your own interest on which topics you can easily comprehend to. However, as a newbie, you should try to learn everything that are significant topics in the forum, even if some are not on your own interest. After all, each topic that is raised in the forum has something that we can gain from it, so we should just read and read until we understand them. But never put pressures in yourself, just take your time and enjoy while educating yourself.

You find it easier to post on those boards because those discussions are discussions that you are used to having that is discussions about gambling economics and politics, but this forum is not mainly about those things. Some people discovered this forum from their interest in Bitcoins, some people were referred to joined the forum because they showed interest in Bitcoins. The forum is mainly about Bitcoins. As a newbie like me just yesterday, because I was interested in learning about Bitcoins, I read more discussions from the bitcoin discussion section, because I was new to forum and did not want to break any rule, I wanted to express myself well too as a newbie, I also focused on the beginners and help board. What's your purpose of joining the forum, that's should determine the board you become more active at. I doubt you joined the forum because of politics so in my opinion that board should get less attention from you (I'm not saying you should ignore the board totally) but concentrate on the board that'll add more knowledge to what you already know instead of arguing about politicians that don't care about your existence. Gambling is another board that you can get lost in. If you put all your energy engaging there, you might realize it too late that you have gained nothing while been on the forum. I write in gambling board but I have my threads of concentrations.

Economy is a great board to write on, Bitcoin discussion as well as that's the main focus of the forum and the reason many of us joined the forum (to learn about Bitcoin). Although the topics there are usually off topic but you can filter out the topics that are generic and focused only on those that you can learn from. Ignored all the Bitcoin got me that or this bullshit and write on those that actually adds some knowledge that you didn't have about Bitcoin. Finally I see you have participated in your local board on the forum, stay active there more as it'll help you to get familiarize with people from your country and they'll be in the best position to guide you through your journey here.

I'd suggest that you focus on beginners, and help and the bitcoin discussion boards. Since you've found fun in the gambling boards it's fine to stick around there, but these two boards will facilitate your learning journey in the forum. If you're fine with the level of bitcoin knowledge you possess, the economics board is always a good place to learn about the real world and business. I bet as a newbie you'll enjoy chatting with members in that section, they exist in the board, economics, premium responses generally about how people live life in the world and society. Meta section is also great as a newbie to learn what's happening in the forum; updates and new observations. In a nutshell, while building activities in any board that fits you, endeavor to create threads about your views and questions relating to the board.

You listed out three others and included several others, that is enough discussions, no pressure to include other boards.

Posting where you find it easy means you are posting where your interests lies. You don't have to change this except you have other areas of Bitcoin that you are interested in learning.

Brotherhood is love
If you're in this forum, it doesn't make much sense to talk in the Politics or the Economics board, and not in the Bitcoin boards. Asides from less activity, they are not moderated properly, and are a total mess (not that Bitcoin boards are orders of magnitude different, but yeah).

If you're a total newbie, begin from the obvious one. Beginners & Help.

Contrary to the advise that many people will give to Op, I think I will defer greatly in suggesting any board for Op as a newbie. I believe in the principle of self satisfaction and the people I have seen with similar ideology are LoyceV and Lovesmayfamilis.
This is a discussion forum and Op should discover the area of interest to them and join the discussion there. Unless the Op is indirectly asking about the boards that can hand s/he merits. Otherwise, they should contribute where they derive joy.
When I started in this forum,  I was an altcoin man and later I found joy in gambling discussion mega threads. I could be in those threads for hours and will not get tired of scrolling, reading and replying.
Recently, I discovered fun in reputation board where so many drama happens. I now frequent reputation board.
By this, I use this forum as a forum and gets full satisfaction and fun using forum and yet still get weekly bucks. This is pure joy and I will suggest that to anyone anytime.

At the beginning of your from journey, the best and informative and helpful board will be Beginners & Help board. Because here you can discuss, can ask and also can learn a lot about crypto from experienced users. Here everyone is helpful. And the second best board is in my opinion that your local board. Because there you can discuss in your native language, also can ask for help to others. But always remember your discussion topic should be on the right board. If you ask for help then try to use this board Beginners & Help or if you want to discuss about altcoins then use Altcoin Discussion board. And for trading related questions there is Trading Discussion board. So in this forum has a lot of boards which should be known by you and discuss or ask only on related boards.

I remember that when I was entered in the forum I didn't know anything about forums. The situation was such that I did not know what is topic, how to post it. After some time, with exploring the forum, I learned to create a topic and post. Then most of the posts were my questions mainly to know the things that I don't know.
-In that case I used to follow Beginners & Help board most of the time. So I will suggest you first to follow Beginners & Help board. Moreover,  the same things you can do in your local community, i.e. local board cz local community are awesome.
-Then I after knowing the basics of this forum explore the forum staring should be with the Meta & its child boards, Project Development and if you have some skills then you can offer your service on the service board.
And then there is no alternative to explore. If you start with these few, I think it will help you to explore later. Wink

The purpose of the forum's subsections and boards is to make it easier for users to get the right information they are looking for; hence, depending on the sort of information you seek on the forum,

You can concentrate on this section if you want to learn most of the essential guidance and information that a beginner requires, as well as some general knowledge about Bitcoin and what is going on in the world.

While some areas are for specific board discussions, it is always a good idea to explore the forum to gain some useful information and learn from other conversations.

Every board is significant because each board has its own set of discussions.

Well there is no direct answer for this and it actually depends on the newbie in question, first you would have to understand that there are people who are newbies on this forum but have already good knowledge of Crypto-currency and there are newbies on this forum and also newbies in Crypto-currency generally, so I think there should be some structural adjustment for both parties.

The newbies who are knowledgeable or considerably knowledgeable about crypto-currency first should start with the meta board
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0
Because they may not be new to crypto but they are new to the forum and would need a better understanding about Crypto-currency, they should read pin post especially but also other post, they can ask questions about the forum and get guidance and after having some knowledge they can pick the boards the like and continue in a responsible manner.

But those who are newbies in the forum and also newbies in Crypto-currency should start on Meta because they actually need to also understanding the forum first especially the rules and regulations, frequently asked questions and then they should spend some time here on this particular board Beginners and help and after that they too can set out.

It depends on what you want to learn. If you want to know more about the forum, You can explore the meta board. In Beginners & Help section, you will find various guides, including forums, bitcoin, and other services. If you are new to Bitcoin and want to learn more about technical things, Development & Technical Discussion fits you. If you have any technical questions regarding Bitcoin, the Bitcoin Technical Support board is best for it. Always read the tag line/description of the board. You will understand which board is best for you based on your interest.

However, You are on the right board to ask such questions. You can ask any questions here and explore the topics to gather up knowledge.

First the three boards you mentioned are clear and not bitcoin related. In case of bitcoin related discussions there various boards and for newbies in the forum it is kind of confusing to know where to place some threads or ask some questions. So for simplicity I would say before you get acquainted with the forum boards just restrict your threads to the beginners and help Board. Most of bitcoin related threads for newbies are treated here.
If you’re looking for a particular discussion then I would suggest you use the search button to make it easy for you. You can learn how to use the search button here

I'm open to learning from your opinions.

Welcome to the community! As a newbie, it's always a good idea to take some time to get familiar with the community and learn the basics specific to this forum. This way, you can avoid repeatedly asking the same questions that have already been covered. This forum has a lot to offer, so I suggest focusing on the areas that truly interest you. It really depends on the discussions that capture your attention and where you feel you can contribute or learn the most. Of course, don't limit yourself to just one board. Feel free to explore all the different boards and engage in discussions that catch your interest. Remember, this is an open space for your discussions, so don't hesitate to jump in and share your thoughts when you have something to say. Enjoy your time here!

It all boils down to the board of your interest on the forum as it is advice that one should look for his board of interest and contribute more there. But as a newbie that seeks knowledge,I will advice that you should stick to bitcoin discussion and this board Beginners and Help. If you are really here to learn bitcoin those two boards will help you a lot. If you want to learn more on the technical side of bitcoin, there is also a board on that as so on. You can also do research on your own because this forum is too cumbersome for you to be able to navigate through various boards daily. Gambling section is like a must for gamblers and sports lovers to discuss on sports and gambling.

to be honest, I feel like this will depend on what you want to know and what interest you. That being said, if you are new to the forum and have no idea how the forum works, visiting and spending some time reading sticky threads and threads posted by members on Beginners & Help would be a frat help to you. other than that, focusing on what really interests you is what you should do.

It depends like on which discussions you are more interested in and want to contribute or learn from like if you have technical knowledge about bitcoin and development then project development and technical boards are also suitable along with general boards so this is open space for your discussion.

But boards such as serious discussion and Ivory tower are restricted for newbies so you can't post in them and you can read about it here but just explore other boards yourself gaining knowledge from different threads based on your understanding.

The term "newbie" should be clarified first. Someone can be a newbie here on the forum, but that doesn't mean that he is a complete beginner when we talk about Bitcoin things. It is not a rare case that someone, although he registered later on the forum, has more knowledge in a certain area than some natives.
Also, there is no universal rule here about which part of the forum can be more attractive for you (or anyone else). The advantage is that we have a fairly large volume of different topics, so everyone can find a part that suits their interests.

Bitcoin = Financial freedom
It depends on what you you want to learn whether it's about Bitcoin? Then you have bitcoin discussion, Technical development, beginners and Help section.

Or if you're interested in gambling then Gambling board is the place where you need to concentrate.

Or don't restrict yourself to any particular boards, you can explore each and every board when you have something to say then don't hesitate to reply.

You can focus on board that you have interest on whether you are learning or contributing to that board it all depends on you. This forum is broad, so you just focus on what interests you.
Though they are some board that are restricted from newbies
Other than this, your welcome to post wherever you've got ideas. Places where your not allowed to post, you wouldn't have the reply icon or quote icon avaliable for you. Places like the Ivory Tower in serious discussion.
No need being scared, make positive contribution and you'll be good.
