That's a very subjective question, and could be better put as what is YOUR best decentralized exchange in the cryptocurrency world.
People have different reasons for visiting different exchanges. I personally prefer to use forkdelta irrespective of the hitches in the system it has specific features which I desire.

The above mentioned decentralized exchange even have problems that is why people prefer centralised exchange more than decentralized one.

Apart from converting BTC to ETH/XMR I have never used any centralized exchanges to be quite true. I hate using centralized exchanges, with exchanges handling our coins. The purpose of cryptocurrency is to be your own bank and not to trust third parties with your money. Holding funds in a centralized exchange (be it Mt.Gox or Binance) is much riskier than holding them in a decentralized one. Once when we transfer the coins to exchange, it gets transferred to their cold wallets and so on. We don't have control over our coins and if the exchange gets hacked all of a sudden just like Cryptopia, we would reach the nightmare with our money.

The only problem in using a decentralized exchange is that, if the server gets hacked and the real website is phished we would be entering our private keys in a phishing web-page which will certainly result in loss of funds. I use Forkdelta, Etherdelta and IDEX more commonly to trade some alts with my Ethereum. More importantly you don't need to provide KYC if you are transferring lump-sum amount of money in a single transaction. What if the KYC server gets hacked and all your personal information gets into the hands of hackers? If you need to be anonymous and concerned about your privacy more then you wouldn't be using centralized exchanges.

For example, you won't find many alternatives if you only want to trade Stellar tokens.
We can try using https://stellarterm.com/#markets (not quite sure)

Anyway, I'm pretty sure Binance Dex is probably going to dominate the market too. Binance power is too big atm.

Binance is becoming a powerful centralized entity in the cryptocurrency space be it the CZ's idea on reversal of transactions or the introduction of a decentralized exchange.  Roll Eyes

"Some" people maybe.

I've used a lot of DEXes. In no particular order, I've used FD, ED, DDEX, IDEX, Bancor, Atomic Swap, and so on. The best DEX is probably relatives as it depends on what coins that you want to trade (either buy or sell). For example, you won't find many alternatives if you only want to trade Stellar tokens.

No, I think people prefer to wait until the platform is hacked, a fake CEO death or a jurisdiction closing the site, to be able to lose their coins properly. ... But regarding your point, I disagree. Statically decentralized exchanges have, by far, fewer problems than the centralized. Whatever if it's about the user account, IT security, etc...

How many DEXs have been hacked so far? And how many CEXs?

Oddly enough, DEXs is not needed much, and that is why it is possible to have problems in most of them. Freezing, slow working and more. If you are looking for DEX for altcoin trading, 20 DEXs are listed in this article. Check this out if you like : https://coinzodiac.com/top-decentralized-exchanges-dex/
