My top 10 coins at the moment are basically divided halfway between long term and short term based investments. I am a HODLER which is why I tend to HODL my coins and tokens majority of the time, but engage in short term trading minority of the time. My top 10 looks something like this:

-Monero
-DeepOnion
-IOST
-PIVX
-Verge
-Cardano
Among these coins, I have invested heavily into popular coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and NEO which I am HODLING for long term gains. I have invested small amounts into the rest of the coins which I plan on selling in the short term.

top 10 Altcoin which has a steady development in 2018 is Ethereum, Ripple, EOS, Cardano, Litecoin, NEO, Waves, Tether, Bitcoin Cash, Tron. these ten coins are very good and have a high potential to continue to increase and have a high price for the future.
I will choose Ethereum, which is the most promising coin in my heart. When the use of smart contract system is more and more, it will promote the demand of ETH, thus driving the growth of ETH price.
BTC, BTH, ETH, XRP, NEO, ADA, ATC, EOS, XLM, LTC. This is the ten choices I think are pretty good. You can use them as a reference. I support ETH most.

This question has been asked in many threads.Always select the best coins for yourself.I have selected some solid coins like BTC,ETH,NEO,ADA,EOS,MIOTA,DASH,WAVES,XLM,LTC.BTC & ETH are the most trusted and profitable coins.NEO,ADA,EOS,MIOTA are undervalued and i would hold them for coming few years to get higher ROI.DASH,WAVES,XLM,LTC are also gradually growing coins and best for investment point of view.

For me top 10 from coinmarketcap is appropriate. Each item is industrially and properly set, so I think that the 10 coins that are there are suitable
ethereum is number 1,then bitcoincash, ripple, waves, and ignis. i just like thats coins but im prefer with ethereum till now. growth of ethereum is more than other altcoins, i believe ethereum will going crazy till end year

You can see top 10 coins on coinmarketcap. I have invested in alt coins like Ripple, ETH, Cardano and Tron. I am most hopeful with ripple as it got a number of unique features. The lower transaction costs and speed makes Ripple a very attractive prospect for huge financial institutions, many of which are adopting Ripple's technology. American Express, JP Morgan and Santander are already on board, and the company also has links with financial giants in Saudi Arabia and China.

CMC has done well with the top 10 coin, but for me I'll list BTC, ETH, XMR, ELF, MAN, XRP, NEO, WAVES, DOGE and REP as my top 10 coin.
There are many altcoins in the crypto world, but from the amount of altcoin I only choose bitcoin and ethereum, if l have to choose again l might choose ripple or litecoin.If the other altcoin I don't quite understand, so to sort to 10 coins I can't because I know only to 4 altcoin above.
All the top 10 coins almost the same, on the basis of capitalization of the coin. If you really want to invest and earn a good profit, you need to pay attention to fresh and promising startups, such as I can include the following coins: #ICX, #ARK, #ADA, #NEBL, #WAVES, #DRGN, #AION, #WABI, #QTUM, #ETH, #NEO, #LSK, #VEN.
It is obvious that the BTC, TRX, ETH and DAO stack coin. Maybe I'll read something new from guys and something new meet and invest in it )
