What would be your pick? And why did you choose that coin in the first place? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
Personally I didnt use any of these two yet but Ive traded them before on exchange. I am fond of using bitcoin and other altcoins instead of old coins so I didnt know the feeling of using it. But some of my friends are using dogecoin as its very fast and got small fees. Not sure if comparable to L1 if its still much cheaper though.
I still prefer dogecoin,  because reason being that,  dogecoin have given me a big profits before while the coin was still at it early stage I bought a few of it and left them in a wallet and at that period of the dogecoin craze I made a lot of profits from the coin and ever since then I haven't gone back or try to buy back even though the price of dogecoin plumb down significantly a few weeks after that.

So if I were to choose between the two coins,  I would choose dogecoin still since it has been proven that dogecoin has higher fans and chances of recovery,  compared to litecoin which looks like a copycat of other projects, for me,  dogecoin all the way.

I've never been on Litecoin although for Doge we can't deny that almost everyone has been there but it's not a wise choice either when choosing on Doge for now Cheesy
If there are two choices then maybe I will learn more about LTC even though it may not be a priority. Doge could still be an option but with what has happened to them where the hype is high and the Pump and Dump is unreasonable before I would rather avoid this.
Not that I don't like it because I used to like this coin but for now I prefer to play it safe rather than having to force a big risk.

I used to like doge before for transfer purposes because it is quite cheap, that's when it was not yet hyped up by Elon.
But when he started mentioning this old meme coin, the price increased and so the fees.
That's when I checked LTC, and they are cheaper now in fees, or maybe it depends on the platform you are using.
But on the note of fees, I believe, both are still good and you can find them in almost trading platforms, so it is quite easy to trade these alts.
But for long-term investments, I won't choose any of these alts. I'll stick with btc for long-term holding.
These alts for me, have uncertain futures as compared to btc. We don't know where their developments will bring them into.

Dogecoin is quite familiar among altcoins but since it was a meme coin, many don't see it as a great choice, especially for long-term investment. But considering these two options, I see that more people will vote for Dogecoin over Litecoin. This is how Elon Musk influenced the minds of the people who thought that he would drive Dogecoin too high just like what he did before.

We usually look at which one is more profitable but not its function which is why more people consider Dogecoin as their choice because of the possible hyped that strikes again.

A bad example is contagious. Many people are absolutely unable to analyze and have no opinion of their own, so it is easier for them to listen to someone and repeat after them. Various opinion leaders take good advantage of this, gathering such an audience around them. DOGE is more speculative, while Litecoin has a strong fundamental and utilitarianism, but in the crypto world utilitarianism is valued much less than the opportunity for speculation, which is why various junk coins are so often growing in value on the crypto market.

Among the good-old coins listed on the market today, which one do you prefer the most? Litecoin or Dogecoin? The former is often used for serious cross-border payments at a fraction of the cost, while the latter is used more for micropayments/tipping. Despite these differences, it's no secret that DOGE is faster and cheaper to use than LTC itself (Dogecoin's block time is lower than Litecoin's, while market prices are cheaper). I'd choose both as they're tried-and-tested blockchain networks with decentralization and security/reliability in mind.

What would be your pick? And why did you choose that coin in the first place?
I don't use altcoins for cross-border payments or tipping or anything, and I just use altcoins for trading which is the reason why I prefer Litecoin over Dogecoin because I believe Dogecoin doesn't have any organic growth, and by organic growth, I mean that it doesn't grow on its own unless it is hyped by an individual like Elon Musk or by its community, and a normal cryptocurrency wouldn't be like that. Altcoins should be able to go up and down sometimes organically.

So, this is the basic reason why I prefer Litecoin over Dogecoin. Otherwise, I know that Dogecoin has a lower block time and transaction fee and its blockchain isn't that bad, but at the end of the day, it's a meme coin and we all know that meme coins mainly depend on community hype for them to gain value.

I like both litecoin and dogecoin.  Old and reliable, and most important, decentralized, not a token.

But if I have to pick one among two, I pick Dogecoin.  I think the reason is obvious, no need to explain here.

Of course I chose Litecoin over Dogecoin which is a meme coin, of course we already know the character of meme coins which are very risky, but if you are lucky you can also suddenly become rich. However, for earish seasons like now, Lite Coin is clearly an option for investing, especially as the chart shows bullish signs, even though up to now there is still a price correction

Apart from Dogecoin being a memecoin, it has controversies surrounding its circulating supply and then the use case is something to worry about. It was said to be a carricature, and that can not in anyway stand as a sufficient enough reason why one will prefer it even though it has garnered more ROI than LTC. On a comparison scale, Litecoin is way better and most preferred to Dogecoin and improvements are actually seen on the technicality of Litecoin as its Dev is not sleeping on it.

Litecoin. In a biased opinion though. Grin
I don't like meme coins. Never had I bought Dogecoins or used it but that's only my personal choice. Litecoin on the other hand, I use it most of the time in gambling platforms as I feel like I am also using Bitcoin with it. I don't keep too much as my assets are already set to something more reliable and reputable but in usage, Litecoin is mostly the cryptocurrency that I used when I gamble.
I think I also got used to it and don't want to change that. Also, I find my luck on this coin, and changing it might bring me bad luck the next time I gamble.
I know some gamblers would prefer meme coins because they can feel like they are betting a lot due to their low value but the scary part is when it is dumped and we are stuck at being unable to cash it out.

The two aren't good choice of selection. One is old freight people are halving to revive it's price since after it's first all time high while the second is been pump by Elon influence. Even when he just sneeze and mention the name, the bag holders will use that as advantage to pump the price for their own advantage.

Litecoin is deflated a car that need bitcoin infleuce to ride. They just completed it's halving about a month a go but it seems the coin hasn't been itself because lots of people that bought before the halving sold few days before the halving and immediately after the halving, that means there is no strong believe in the project. If the halving is really significant, they should be up by now and not below whereit is been traded before the halving. It can go up when bitcoin halving approached, your best choice is now.

Dogecoin, the master of memes of all. The propaganda coin that need hype to grow. I'm not sure what is going to be the new wave of his growth but the whales behind this coin always find something to push the price. You can buy this and join the speculative environment of Tesla, they always believe doge and Telsa will have a great relationship in the future. Grin

Considering altcoins alone i will have to go for both, but when considering cryptocurrencies in general, I will first go for bitcoin, I've chosen to go for both litecoin and dogecoin because the two has a better market potential, they are one of the altcoins one can conveniently Invested over and have no reason to fear for missing out, I've been tracking the two over time now and they never show any insignificant performance.

If I had to pick between these two, my favorite would be litecoin. There are lot of advantages of using this coin like the transactions are very fast and fees is also low. It has proved to be a genuine project for longer time. On the other hand , dogecoin is based on hype created by Elon and others. So , I am a conservative guy and thus I will go with litecoin.

Nice choices! Both Solana and Doge are great coins for transactions and investments. Doge has lower fees compared to Litecoin, but because of Doge's price volatility, some people might prefer Litecoin for more stable transactions. When it comes to investments, Doge appeals to meme lovers, while Litecoin is favored by low-risk investors. Personally, I've chosen to invest in both. Gotta diversify, right?

I prefer Litecoin out of those tokens you mentioned, but I give more priority to TFS out of the old tokens, because unlike Doge, you can make good money on TFS token and it is quite stable as well

I'd go with Litecoin. I have more experience with using it compared to Dogecoin and I've rarely touched meme coins before. It doesn't help that as you've said, it's supply expans infinitely. I also don't really like how the market went up all of a sudden beforehand all because of Elon and his shenanigans, probably the number one reason why I stayed away from it like a plague. Seeing as the case has died down though I might check it out at some point later.

That's certainly true, mate. Dogecoin's success is concentrated in Elon Musk himself. Almost everyone follows the man's advise when investing into DOGE. Talk about "decentralization". On the other hand, Litecoin creator Charlie Lee decided to step down from the project to make it more decentralized. There's no one to follow, other than the community itself.

We could say Litecoin's price is driven by utility instead of hype (speculation). The cryptocurrency (LTC) is often used to test new features before they're integrated into the main Bitcoin blockchain. With a limited supply of only 84m units, Litecoin has a high chance of becoming "Silver to Bitcoin's Gold" in the future. It's very undervalued to say the least. Hopefully, people will notice its true benefits resulting in a massive pump in market prices. Who knows how far will LTC go? Grin

Honestly, none of those.
If we think about old coins, why don't we take other old coins which might have a more significant upside potential than these two? Litecoin seems to have failed in the last bullish season. Meanwhile, last season's Doge skyrocketed, making this meme coin very hyped at that time. But in the end, will they repeat the same history in the bullish season next season? I'm not really sure about that. So if I were to choose old coins, I would definitely prefer Ethereum and maybe also XRP or BNB.

I used to be sympathetic to both on the early years of crypto universe and even accumulated some LTC and DOGE from faucets, which were quite generous and easy to claim from. I enjoyed the fact we could acquire more units of those altcoins when compared to BTC. After all, it didn't mean much, as proportionally to dollar price, rewards were all equal, but it had a psychological effect, anyway.

However, if I had to pick one of them nowadays, I think I would go for LTC, as I don't like the fact Elon Musk "kidnapped" DOGE for his personal manipulative schemes inside crypto industry. From a friendly coin to a heavily manipulated coin by a whale. That is never good for average investors who are trying to thrive on this universe by themselves to be manipulated and driven maliciously by whales and speculators.

Also, after Elon Musk entered the game, we had tons of tokens being launched under the flag of "memecoins", and that was horrible... Of course it wasn't DOGE's fault, but indirectly it's linked as well, unfortunatelly.

Won't be Dogecoin anymore because I think the hype that relies mostly on it has been over. Litecoin hasn't been at its peak again for a very long time and maybe it's now the sleeping giant as they say.

Always preferring dogecoin other all coins as it has great potential to grow in future. Dogecoin drops from .7$ and it will go to 1$ in a longer run but you have to wait for may be 1 year or 2 year.
It's a milestone if ever Dogecoin reaches back to its former ATH which is $0.7 and then will break from that price to go ahead to $1. Those that have millions of it in supply will definitely become millionaires but will it happen again? We don't know, maybe or it won't. Considering the supply of it and the market cap, there should really be a lot in the entire crypto market by that time. Although I am sure this market will grow mainly for Bitcoin and other top altcoins but with such supplies for Dogecoin, maybe it will be hard to no avail.
