for now I prefer to use bitcoin to only for traders, my plan is to want to use bitcoin as a payment but because in my country bitcoin is still not legal to use, my desire is still pending, waiting for bitcoin to be legalized in my country
I like to use Bitcoin on trading sites and prefer to use Altcoins in online shopping. Because Bitcoin value is too large you can not use it to buy small value items.
yes bitcoins value is more larger than any currency but that does not mean it cant be used for buying . bitcoin is actually more accepted online or any other local shops offline that are now implementing the use of cryptos because bitcoin is more credible and popular when compared to some alts . bitcoin is also good in trading and investing because like what you said earlier , its base value is already big which means we can also earn high income on it .
though some alts like eth , bch , ripple and other coins that is on top 5 are now also becoming popular and used by most merchants and other companies as a payment method aside from btc .

I use bitcoin more on exchange sites, I don't want to use bitcoin for online shopping, but in my country I can't use bitcoin to shop, bitcoin is illegal in my country, if you use bitcoin to buy something then it's illegal and punishable prison for those who use it, in my country only the government-recognized money is paid
I use in both, but in my country there are not so many sites where I can use bitcoin. But there is a tendency to use bitcoin as a method of payment, and it pleases.
It is not my choice that Bitcoin will be restricted to trading in the exchange market only. Bitcoin is a popular virtual currency used in many countries around the world. Bitcoin transactions or ownership is transferred through online exchange. So I want to trade in the current digital era as well as various marketplaces, online shop and daily work in different types of Bitcoin use.
I chose to use Bitcoin on the trading platform because there is no store around me that can use Bitcoin as a payment. In the market, I hold Bitcoin more for the profit of the transaction!
you don't have to just choose one! you can do both and more with bitcoin.. personally I will prefer to use it in the trading site rather than online shop because i can use it for regular trading activities and if i can take a decent amount from my trade and i can use that to buy anything as i need.
I prefer to grow assets that I have in bitcoin by trading in exchange places rather than having to use bitcoin that I have to buy things that are not too important.
I will choose to add the assets that I have by trading in a place of payment rather than having to spend the bitcoin that I have, I realize bitcoin is increasingly difficult to obtain.

Not all online shops and businesses accept cryptocurrencies, and it's restricted in some countries.

Do I have to make a choice?, Why can I not have both, and even more. I mean , I want Bitcoin to be used for every purpose(s) Physical Currencies are used for. I want to use it to pay bills, tax, pay for services rendered, use it at gas stations, malls etc and not only on online trading exchange platdorms.. I just stay optimistic as I see Bitcoin filling these voids in the nearest future.
If these can dream can be fulfilled, Foreign money transactions will be as swift as possible with little time wastage, and tbere will be more trust on purchase of goods Online.
I chose bitcoin in the investment purposes. I have bought the coin and hold it for a long time for a huge profit. My investment scheme is for long holding. Patiently waiting for the right price to spike before selling my coins.

For now am active in crypto trading than even using it to buy stuffs online though have used it to buy stocks online but I will prefer trading for now until it is widely accepted for exchange.

I don’t choose any one, I do things depending on the situation or however it may turn out to be. Though mainly what I do is trade with my Bitcoin, HODL and sell when the time is right just for me to make enough profit. When it comes to using Bitcoin for buying things online, I do that too but on a random basis, I just buy whenever I happen to be a position where I have Bitcoin and something is being sold for it. So I don’t have any choice here.In the year 2013, I was new to crypto world still I waited for months to buy bitcoins at relatively lower prices (I bought few bitcoins in the price range of $220 to $350) but all were in 2015 only. I am mentioning that because when we are ready to dedicate some of our time along with hard work then we may achieve anything and need not to be fixed with only one thing.

i want to see bitcoin to be use in all of that aspect.
we were exposed with trading and investment.
we can use BTC in marketplace but with p2p.
there will be merchant soon and big companies will start to jump in.
we just need enough time and regulation for that,
