I don't know why anyone in their right mind would go after Ethereum under current circumstances. The value has dropped by almost 95% from the ATH levels (however, it has recovered recently a bit), and the trade volumes are at all time lows. On top of this, the ICO market is showing no signs of recovery, although Ethereum still maintains it raw monopoly among the platforms (it is still being used by more than 90% of the tokens, with other platforms such as Stellar and Omni trailing behind).
Everyone is all entitled to their own opinion based on the way that their mind can break it down, this is how you are able to interpret Ethereum operation from your own personal view, but we still have other people that will look at it in other ways.

What has happened to most coins is not to be blamed on Ethereum as most altcoins are also victim if it, scammers are to be blamed, they are the ones that tarnished the ico image which I believe that Ethereum too never envisaged, and this circumstances is really beyond their control, until maybe when regulation comes in that can help eliminate some of these terrible scammers.

I don’t support them for once mocking bitcoin, I guess it is just nemesis that is catching up on them which I would say it is good for them, next time, they will learn to focus on their own project rather than discrediting other people's project.

It depends on how will you use it. If you're into investment then buy bitcoin since it is good for a long term hodling and if you will use it for payment then choose Ethereum for a lesser fee.

Bitcoin is good for long term investment since the price is soaring up every year and ethereum will follow up to trend but it would take time not like bitcoin. Halving of bitcoin is near so choose wisely.

Yesterday the price of Bitcoin was $9700 and today the price is $8500. Yesterday the price of Ethereum is $200 and today the price is $170. So which coin is prefer to buy?
I don't know which one to buy, because you know that getting profit from coin eth and btc is very difficult, especially for small fund of users. I am even more interested in some coins that have a smaller value but have good potential, for example BNB and TRX. But when viewed from the experts' talk and information that ETH is experiencing a setback while bitcoin will halving in the coming months, so bitcoin might have more potential, if I would choose bitcoin.

Very good point, When you see the price of both Bitcoin and Ethereum going down and then it's looking a difficult decision which one you choose, I don't think so, I always on the side of Bitcoin, I Know a lot of potential on the ETH and it's getting also popular and credible around the blockchain system but Bitcoin attracts me more than anything, One thing you should always remind that all of the Altcoin's price and market is fully dependent on the price of Bitcoin, and Ethereum price solely depends on Bitcoin's price also, at the end of 2017, Ethreum price touched a milestone because of the ICO's revolution and which was a different scene, but in recent time, It maintains a proportion rate of decreasing or increasing the price. so the overall decision always goes to the Bitcoin for me.

bitcoin or ethereum are both very good options for purchase, I might say how much money you have, if you have a large amount of money you might be able to buy bitcoin, and if small amounts of money might buy ethereum because the price is low and remains the same as giving profit for bitcoin or ethereum for the owner

I'll put 70% investment in Bitcoin and 30% to ETH. May it sound fair to them?
Because of the impressive market dominance of bitcoin among cryptos, it mostly I could think that this coin is profitable besides, everyone believes it.
What makes Bitcoin too positive looked by and ain't no wondering why people first think about Bitcoin rather than to consider altcoins or even Ethereum.

Try to add to your post on how much capital you have right now, OP? Current price won't be just your basis on what to invest in first. Consider on how much you're currently holding right and how much you're willing to lose in case the tables have turned. Both are at its best fit to be bought, and it just varies on that trader's current economic condition.
I do not see how your capital should affect your decision of which coin to buy, there are only two alternatives one of the coins is outperforming the other or both coins are performing in a similar way, if it is the later then it does not matter in which coin you are invested or in which coin you would like to invest but if it is the former then you need to move all your funds to the coin that is presenting a better performance, that is the only way of becoming profitable over the long term in this market.

It totally depends upon the interest of the investor that whether he want to invest for short term or long term and it also depenss on the funds you are ready to invest in the digital currencies. If you have less amount then you should go with ETH.Both currencies have capacity to grow rapidly in future due to their technology so you can have both on your list.

In my opinion, it is ok whatever you choose between btc or eth because first they are good quality coins. Second, they are both stable coins so there's no problem if you are a daytrader or just a simple hodler. Third, they got the same pattern of thread and behavior; have a look on https://coinmarketcap.com.

But if you asked me to choose only one then I guess I gow ith bitcoin. Why? Simply because it is the king and the Top 1 Smiley, that's all.

Well there is no doubt that both ethereum and bitcoin are really worth it to buy but right now i dont have a huge amount of money that's why i will prefer to buy ethereum and hold it until bull run comes again and i am hoping that before this year will end i can see ethereum hitting $300.

But the factor that should concern them the most is the rising transaction fee of Ethereum. Vitalik and his bunch of clowns used to mock Bitcoin for its high transaction fee (and we can't really blame them, as the users were paying up to $50 per transaction as fees back in 2017). Bitcoin managed to lower the fee after the implementation of larger block size and Lightning Network. On the other hand, the average fee for Ethereum has now overtaken that of Bitcoin.
we don't know how ethereum will develop in 2020. Many people hope that the development of ethereum 2.0 will cover up the mistakes that ethereum has. even though it has fallen very far from ATH, I think ethereum prices still have the potential to at least rise to the $ 500 level. yeah, that's possible. until now, I think there are still many people who collect ethereum, and hope for the increase. bitcoin price increases will also trigger ethereum prices, it is seen when bitcoin prices rise this year, and ethereum prices reach the level of $ 350.

These two coins are the safest option to invest in crypto. But for investment, I would pick the Bitcoin. This year Bitcoin investors earned a good profit, at least they recovered the loss of bear market! But Ethereum is not doing better since last year's price collapse! And the growth of Ethereum is not good enough. So, invest in Bitcoin always the best decision for anyone

Ethereum's hype from previous years was because the hype of ICOs. It almost drive it's price to 0.1 btc per ethereum. It's still a good investment and they have a big update together with bitcoin's halving. If it's not a good project then it wouldn't stay at the top 2 spot of coinmarketcap and start to lose value.

Dont compare BNB to ETH.
BNB is a central coin, ETH is decentral.

BTC and ETH are both too low, and thats because of the international fight against them, they call it regulation.

ETH lost more than BTC since DEz. 2017, and thats because there are no more ICOs on ETH, so no more need for that amount of coin.

I don't think that it is correct or very justifying to call bitcoin and ethereum as the low ones. Bitcoin is the mother of all digital currencies and everyone knows that ethereum holds the top position among altcoins. No digital asset has got as much support as these two. They are the biggest players of all time. As far as the loss goes, then this is what we should expect in a volatile market. Losing value does not mean never gaining it again.

I have been working in the cryptocurrency market since 2016 and I absorbed all the forecasts that Bitcoin should have a price of hundreds of thousands of dollars.  I look forward to it as an Enthusiast, but as a Practitioner, I have doubts, especially when analysts say that Bitcoin is impractical today due to other and long transactions.  At least Ethereum does not have such a problem, because the team is constantly working on improving its product.  Therefore, I am choosing ethereum.

Both of the prices went down, so I guess it would be best if you will just divide your investment to both bitcoin and ethereum. Whenever I invest bitcoin and ethereum is one of the best investment I make and hold long term. Bitcoin ans ethereum is both on top of the marketcap and two of the most popular crypto trusted by both holders and traders.

Don't panic about the decline in Bitcoin and Ethereum because in my opinion Both are the best cryptocurrency currencies, you have to wait patiently because when both are declining because it will be an opportunity to buy it and hold it if you already have it.
and in my opinion, both are very good if you make a long-term investment to avoid panic and worry, you must be sure and optimistic that after the decline there will definitely be an increase, even if you have to wait a long time to remain patient.

Based on the same decline as having more than -10%, both are good if you look at deep prices. If you want buy it depends on how much you want to buy because the value of the two coins is different, we also have to think about how much risk of drop price from market conditions. The crypto market is very risky with fluctuations if not careful and we must also be able to understand the trends
It doesn't matter if which cryptocurrency you will buy from those two because they are both strong cryptocurrency that are holding their ranking in the overall cryptocurrency market. It is indeed that we should be able to understand and identify the trends because that is our best friend if we want to be good at investing because we always want profit and not losses.
Correct, Well both of them are very great but if I were to choose I would prefer Bitcoin because even if bitcoin always drops down for now but I do believe that bitcoin price will rapidly increase when it's running out of supply. Also, Ethereum is great as well but I will prefer bitcoin because it is already proven and tested.

The fluctuations needs to be understood if you want to earned from this market, a lots of time traders who's not ready to this kind of movements are losing patience and losing their investment funds. This two coins have the capabilities to move back and rise again. You need to keep doing your research before taking your steps and invest your money back inside this market.
