Hey, I am just starting out and would like to use a VPN, but don't know which one... Would you recommend NordVPN? I have done some reading https://www.reddit.com/r/nordvpn/ and looks alright, how is it for bitcoin stuff?
What do you exactly mean by "bitcoin stuff" ? if you're planning to use a vpn to access gambling websites or crypto exchanges to bypass the country restriction then you will be in trouble if you get caught no matter what vpn are you using.

For those using VPN just as a means to access blocked resources or for everyday casual browsing I would recommend VPN99 as an cheap alternative to free VPN solutions.
So far I dont really need a VPN service to do activities in the forum, but I need it when I open several gambling sites because it has been blocked by the government even though I can sometimes access it without VPN service. I only used the free version for a while and after that it closed again. I know that free VPN service cant be trusted completely, so I dont need them all the time and limit some app permissions that I dont think are needed.

I think using a free VPN is much more practical than spending on it monthly and there is a lot of good VPNs, I've been using Windscribe for a very long time and so far I didn't get any problem and the good thing is that it reset the bandwidth every 30 days which you get (15GB a month). I'm using this VPN every time I will access a game or website since the connection is much better.  I know a lot of VPNs are also using TOR connection which I think much secure and safe to use.

Setup your own vpn, get vps & setup Wireguard and you're done! Even better, do it as a company, so if someone wants know something about vpn users, they've to come and ask from you... and you can say that logs are only in the memory and gets wiped out exactly when connection is cut. It's not really so complicated, and doesn't cost too much. Works perfectly for your PC & mobile devices.

Nord seems like a good option, both Nord and Express have some discounts and yearly plans that could save money in the long run. I think both offer more or less the same service. Also, you can find discounts on YT through videos from channels like Joe Scott, Real Life Lore, Biographics, Geographics, Wendover, and the like. And as far as I know, both have great customer support so you can cancel at any time and get a refund.

Nord VPN is a good VPN to used because it has good security features that keep your privacy safe. I think Nord VPN is not that expensive for $3 per month because other VPN cost $5-$10 per month. But there are times that Nord VPN is too slow because they have a lot of users, so you can try other VPN like Proton VPN or Express VPN because they also have a good user-interface and good security.

If you can afford, you should choose Proton or express VPN. Both of them are better than the Nord VPN. The reason is that Nord VPN is cheap and therefore many people buy it. If you need faster browsing and internet experience, choose the one which is a bit expensive and do not have a lot of load of users.

What IP to choose it depends on where you are located and what websites do you want to access. For example, if you are going to UK and you want to rean early a car, for you it will be more suitable to choose UK IP because in this case, you will have the best discounts and cars. I've checked it myself, so I'm experienced in this question. I've found out about VPN from https://vladtalks.tech/vpn/how-to-set-up-vpn-on-router and all other tricks with discounts and website access also took from there.

Why didn’t anyone tell me about this some months ago?!
Really? but this sounds fishy like promoting a link here in the forum. I will just wait of others to comment about this. For now, it is better to let them check the site and will eventually will made a review in regarding the produt. The post is likly semiliar where you learn.so.luch in this id account I lthat was a good paetiion on even may be not

For those using VPN just as a means to access blocked resources or for everyday casual browsing I would recommend VPN99 as an cheap alternative to free VPN solutions. However, consider these following drawbacks before making a decision to buy monthly plan: you can't use streaming services like Netflix when this VPN is used
I tried so many different VPN services and the only one that worked reliably for Netflix was Express VPN. All others were either not working, or stopped working after few days, as Netflix is very active and constantly flags servers that VPNs are using.
Express VPN is not cheap though, with 100 USD for 12 months might even be the most expensive on the market, but for streaming services, I haven't found anything better so far. Beside Netflix, you can use it for Amazon, Hulu, Disney + etc and it's fast enough for 4K streaming.

For those using VPN just as a means to access blocked resources or for everyday casual browsing I would recommend VPN99 as an cheap alternative to free VPN solutions. Its biggest advantage is really very cheap price - 0,99c per month. It has more than 50 servers in different countries and more than 500 IP-addresses to hide your real location. However, consider these following drawbacks before making a decision to buy monthly plan: you can't use streaming services like Netflix when this VPN is used, on mobile app it collects your information of IP addresses, connection timings, sites your visited, etc. It doesn't work with p2p networks like Torrent, however, in other networks both upload and download speed is decent. It has no kill switch either. Still, this is the best option for the given price, and it is definitely better than free proxies.

I never used a paid VPN that i always experience a slow speed when i connect with VPN. However I will try both ProtonVPN and Mullvad.
If we need to go for a paid VPN, which one is most cheap and yet effective ?

You must determine for yourself what you want to get using VPN. If you really need anonymity, the security of your data, you do not need to start from the "cheap" price
Anything that is free or shareware will never work well. It's strange that in 2020 we still keep talking about it.
Take the time to study the issue competently. Maybe you should create your own VPN?
Of course, we always stick to the question, why do we need all this?
You need to understand that your data is not yours if you trust the service with the sign "Free"

I also used Nord VPN, and it is also alright for me to used Nord VPN because it is comfortable to use and has a good user-interface. But the problem in Nord VPN is it is slow because it has a lot of users, since a lot of famous people advertise and promote Nord VPN. So I also suggest used Proton VPN because it also great as Nord VPN.

There are some free VPN and many have the premier or paid versions. If we use the free ones, will we be compromising on our privacy ?

What's the benefit of paid versions except it offers more locations to connect and few other features ?
Free VPNs are generally a no-go.

VPN providers have to make their money somewhere, otherwise they would go broke and stop operating. It costs money to pay for servers, pay for bandwidth, host their website, develop their app, and so on. As the old saying goes, if you are getting something for free, then you are the product. With free VPNs, your data is their product. They log everything you do, build a profile of your activities, which they can sell to ad agencies, marketing companies, data aggregators, political entities, and so on. Using a free VPN will make your privacy worse, not better.

Paid VPNs generally offer more locations, more bandwidth, better speeds, more devices at a time, as well as a lot of technical features such as choosing UDP or TCP, choosing ports, choosing encryption methods, etc. which you generally don't get with free VPNs. The good paid VPNs (but definitely not all paid VPNs) also don't log your data and don't sell it to third parties.

The only free VPN I would ever even consider using would be ProtonVPN, since their free service is subsidized by their paid services. Having said that, if you only need a VPN for a short period, LoyceV told me about Mullvad, which allows you to pay for days or even hours rather than a monthly or annual subscription.

I never used a paid VPN that i always experience a slow speed when i connect with VPN. However I will try both ProtonVPN and Mullvad.
If we need to go for a paid VPN, which one is most cheap and yet effective ?

I'm ashamed to admit I usually pay them in BCH, because they accept it with zero confirmations (unlike BTC), so it only takes about a minute to activate.
Boo. Also, that makes no sense. Given that BCH's hash rate is only around 2% of bitcoin's hash rate, it takes significantly longer for a BCH transaction to be as secure or "final" as a BTC one. What is their rationale behind this?
I don't know, but if I'd have to guess: BCH gets confirmed quite quickly with a low fee, while BTC can remain unconfirmed for a very long time. I don't think they worry much about a 51% attack, which is unlikely to happen because of paying $5 for a VPN.
