If you want to invest somewhere, use an online wallet like coinbase and blockchain. You want to keep the coin and do not like the transaction until a few years later, you should use the ledger Nano S hard drive

As a beginner I started out with blockchain wallet, it's really great! Smiley You can use it for bitcoins and ETH, the interface is also very user-friendly.

I'm using blockchain and MEW... both have user friendly interface and good for beginners...

But if you want to do some bounties here, you should have MEW to receive the reward ~

Hey guys Im planning to buy bitcoins but I just want to investment little amount of money, not planning to exchange anything. Which wallet should I use for my iPhone or MacBook do you recommend ? Which one would be safer?
In that case you should use desktop wallet. Like bitconcore or electrum. For online wallet you can use coinbase or blockchain.info but on ne wallet is always risky

Well, I believe that web wallet is easier to use than any other kind of wallets but it is generally not recommended keeping funds on the web wallet because there is always a risk factor associated when you keep your funds in the custody of someone else. However, you can use the securely generated paper wallet to store 90% of your Bitcoins and you can keep 10% on the web wallets.

I started off using blockchain. It is a good wallet and safe. I love it's look and it gives you all the information you want to know. It works well and has good security. When I think of Bitcoin and handling bitcoin I think of blockchain. It even has nice buttons to click. It also has it's own block explorer.

Starters should ue coinbase, its easy and safe. Its for both bitcoin and ethereum.
Well it depends on what kind of starter this person is, maybe he us an investor or maybe he is just like most of the people here who are joining campaigns and doing some jobs.

Coin-based wallets are indeed good for starters, easy use and access. It is quite the common thing for those people here experienced and inexperienced. We can also use it as our temporary holding safe if you know what I mean, just make sure for the security of it. I mean like every wallet should be.

When i was a newbie i started to use blockchain.info wallet, this is far the best wallet that i have ever used because it has a lot of security layers, and there is no way that you could be hacked if you are not such a dumb.
Xapo is a good wallet too, but it is too expensive to use because all of your transactions are going to cost you more than seven dollars each one because of their high fees.
If you are looking to store a huge amount of money, then buy an offline one.

I think online wallets are straight forward and easy to use with the graphics and customer service assistance and  so it makes your bitcoin journey pleasant from the beginning. There are trusted ones like coinbase which i will recommend but you should be ready to get verified if you want to buy your first bitcoin from them to trade.

I wont recommend to use online web wallets, as you are not holding the private keys for your address and the site can any time block your account if you use it for illegal activity or gambling. Try to use hardware or desktop wallet like i am using windows desktop and using Electrum wallet which is very easy and light weight to use it. and better use wallet for desktop better then mobile wallet.

Coinbase is the easiest option, and then Jaxx. However, Jaxx may be unstable so make sure you save the passphrase so as not to lose your bitcoins if it crashes and you cannot recover the same account without reinstalling it. More advanced users can use Bitcoin Core or Greenaddress. Bitcoin Core is ideal, as it allows you to keep your private key. Blockchain is OK, but there have been some security concerns about it.

You should have at least two wallets, one on your phone, it can be a web wallet and you should use it as your everyday physical wallet (I mean that you should only keep a little amount in that). It's easier to use and easier to handle.
You should have a second wallet, where you store your coin(s), that should be an offline wallet (paper wallet, hardware wallet, etc). It's like a safe box at home or a bank's trezor box, you can keep larger sums in it, but you don't use it frequently, so it's unnecessary to put it on your phone (and it's not safe anyway).
There are a lot of different wallets, read a bit and you'll find the one that fits your requirements.

I advice you to use a blockchain wallet or coinbase because i think those wallet are most popular it easy to use and fast transaction. The transaction is clean but it has a high cost per transaction, it's okay as long as your bitcoin is secured your bitcoins are not disappear like the other wallet. Blockchain and coinbase are tested of many users. and if you are from the Philippines you can also use coins.ph because they also receive a transaction from bitcoin and there is also a converter for php./peso.

If you are going to invest a lot of money in cryptocurrencies then you should consider buying a hardware wallet. For a good start I would recommend you Electrum. It is easy to use and allows you to manage your private keys which are necessary to prove that you are the owner of certain Bitcoin address. It doesn't require any knowledge, there are some tutorial how to use it though.

There is no substitution to bitcoin core. However it comes with its own limitations as to a complex interface. So for newbies blockhain and electrum can be the best options. But remember these wallets dont allow you to buy bitcoins. So if you are thinking of buying btc first go with some exchange and then transfer the btc in your wallet.

For starter an online wallet is okay and desktop wallet is better, but if you are about to store big amount of bitcoin everyone prefers hardware wallets.
There are some wallet that has a lot of features including being able to withdraw at any time but such wallets are only available in certain countries.

For starters like you the best wallet that I can recommend is go with blockchain.info, they are easy to use and it's interface isn't hard to understand. But to give you some info, there are many types of wallet the web wallets and example of it is blockchain.info while there are some good desktop wallet to for starters like electrum.

MyEtherWallet for ETH

He's mostly asking for the bitcoin wallet and not for ETH though.

My advice is just not to use any kind of online wallets because they are unsafe. I recommend using any kind of lighter wallet so it wont fill to much space, I do not know any specific wallets for Apple products but you can easily google for light and legit wallets.

If you want a wallet where you can get a quick fiat conversions better try coinbase. If you want a private key wallet where you want to store your bitcoins for a long time go for electrum wallet or bitcoin core. If you have android go for mycelium. These are the list of best options available.

Best wallets for starters are going to have to be BitGo, Blockchain.info, Exodus,Jaxx.

All good wallets that are going to be easy to use and have some good customizeable options to make it much safer then the base. This is given that you don't want to buy a hardware wallet or something along those lines, which I'd expect out of a newbie.

Just to note, BitGo does charge in some fees but IMO they are the most secure so this is well worth it. Turn on 2FA any wallet you use and DO ENSURE TO DO ALL OF THE SECURITY PRECUATIONS THAT THEY LAY OUT. Save your seed and all that.

Goodluck bud!

If you are looking for online wallet then I would recommand blockchain wallet which is available on itunes as well and for desktop wallet I guess electrum is safe and secure but if you want to keep large amount of bitcoins then get a hardware or paper wallet.
