For me, there's a combination of feelings that come into play when we gamble and place our bets, such as excitement, anticipation, or the need to make up some money lost.
I don't feel excited when I am placing a bet because I hold this belief that any money placed is already lost and so, excitement only comes when I win.
Although, sometimes I anticipate winning because this feeling is normal for gamblers. If there is no anticipation I don't think any money-chasing gambler will even gamble.
Well you have a point and that's valid since your statement is correct, All the money that we've placed is already considered as lost, that's why some people only gets the excitement once they win.
Of course, when we win, dopamine flows out, which causes us a steady sensation of excitement and eagerness, and we are much more likely to engage and gamble again. Because we believe that we have accomplished something when we win, and this helps us feel more confident. right?
People who wager money as a sort of entertainment and who view the money they spend as a necessary expense of having fun are, in my opinion, the reasons why money they have already bet is also regarded as lost.
Many gamblers especially those who used to gamble for so long, doesn't experience the excitement feeling anymore, what they feel is the nervousness and anticipating feeling every time they play, one of the reason is that, they are hoping to win because some of them placed the only money that left to their pockets.
Because of this, when we gamble, we should only use money that we can afford to lose and set a limit. Additionally, we shouldn't spend money that is intended for our basic needs. I think it's important that we have self control when it comes to gambling, and I hate people who are so focused on themselves that they can't even make a small adjustment in their behavior. They are not concerned with what may occur the next day; rather, they are simply focusing about the happiness and fulfillment they receive today.
