not a single one of you answered my question.

instead you offered up some trite anecdote about 'never using an online wallet'.  Fact is, people use web wallets and will continue to.

Who is responsible for this?

online wallets are and will be hacked. people should stop using them.

JUST FOR THE RECORD: I think all these things are useless scams and I have no relation to them whatsoever.

some guy works in the marketing department of adobe and another guy able to compile outsource code. it was done as a joke but as the old saying goes 'no-one ever went bust underestimating the stupidity of people'(paraphrased)

"To make more sense out of this phenomenon, I got in touch with Dogecoin’s creators, Jackson Palmer, a marketer at Adobe, and Billy Markus, a software developer at IBM. Markus told me Dogecoin was made “without much real thought.”

took me like 10 seconds to find that link

never store your cryptocurrency on a server. use your personal computer.

while this might be a great personal tip, the issue remains that there was a screwup and suddenly everyone seems to scatter.  No one even notices that you don't hear any names whenever you hear about this sort of thing, and meanwhile if you happen even to criticize anyone on here for, lets say, getting math equations wrong, you get lambasted.  Also we seem to get non-stop announcements for projects and new altcoins soliciting money.  What this says loud and clear is that this is not a trustworthy or worthwhile venue.

JUST FOR THE RECORD: I think all these things are useless scams and I have no relation to them whatsoever.

Exactly - don't use third party wallets. I have no faith in them.

Here's the creators of dogecoin

Perhaps we should introduce some culpability to this realm of software development.

Who is responsible for losing 21 Million Dogecoins?  Funny how everyone on here is always talking about WIN, but we never hear any names associated with the scams, the screw ups, and the massive failures.  Whose fault is this?  I want to make anyone I know does no business with this person and anyone working with them.

Can anyone even name a single person behind Dogecoin?  Even TechCrunch doesnt name a single person: http://techcrunch.com/2013/12/25/dogecoin-hack/?utm_campaign=fb&ncid=fb

some seedy shady stuff going on here.  -bm
