Trezor is free shipping? But I think it cost more than Passport and doesn't support airgapping.
The last time I tried to order on the site, they have both paid and free shipping but I did not later order it. The delivery time for the paid shipping will be fast, while the free shipping will take like 1 or 2 months.

Foundation Passport is more expensive but recommended.

Know that Passport is only supporting bitcoin. Trezor support bitcoin and many other altcoins. But you can get bitcoin-only wallet on Trezor official site for some of their hardware wallet if that is what you want.

Yeah I'm well aware
I doubt I would have any reason in holding an alt coin.
Alright since Trezor is cheaper I would put it as a contender with Passport.
Though not a priority now, wanted to confirm which could be considered Good when I have spare cash to use on it.

Thanks all for your support. Would be locking the thread since I have gotten answer to my question.
I appreciate the various views.

Hence why they suggesting buying from Manufacturers, it wouldn't be impossible to see a compromised wallet on jumia
But if it's found in the manufacturers store
Then you ain't the only one been scammed.

Getting a hardware wallets here in Nigeria will be difficult, except you have someone abroad to get you one and then send it down here for you. Op should just make use of a good softwallet and open source like electrum. I have so many reason why he shouldn't stress of it.. firstly is because getting a hardware wallet in Nigeria where you know that it might get broken and no way to get a good technician to fix it. Again, getting a good and trusted vendor online will also be difficult so you don't end up ordering something that you aren't going to like or use for long.. or even probably get a hacked wallet.

If there is an official reseller, it can also be recommended to buy from them. But Trezor is not having any official reseller in Nigeria.

About buying a hardware wallet in Nigeria. I can not recommend it if you want to buy the latest ones. I only see the old ones in the past. Also their prices are not worth it at all. You can go for free shipping if it is Trezor if your order it directly from the company.
Thanks wanted to get passport from the manufacturer but the fee is annoying and it doesn't reduce per quantity but instead increase and the increase ain't arithmetic.

Does it mean most of the things we buy from Jumia aren't real became I want to placed order on some device to be delivered to my home, though I was told to go nearby mall to go get it myself while I teste my device and check the functionality before packaging them home otherwise I might end up receiving low quality products.
There are good products at jumia, but as its possible to be scammed physically so also via online
But online is easier to get scammed.
Jumia ain't really the sellers of most of the products
They are like a Hub for sellers but the advantage is they give some days for refunds
Though things like that tend to end stressful and I think the fee for transporting the goods ain't covered one the base amount.

Hence why they suggesting buying from Manufacturers, it wouldn't be impossible to see a compromised wallet on jumia

I found out that jumia has ledger, has anybody tried getting an hardware wallet from them?

Do not purchase hardware wallets from marketplaces; if you must get a hardware wallet, make sure it is from the developer's website and that the signatures are verified. There is no guarantee that the hardware wallets on Jumia are not compromised; they may be fake. I found the wallet last year; there was no buyer or feedback, so it's best to afford. Get it from the company.

Check out the list provided by Satoprincess for latest hardware wallets and website to order it.

No buy from jumia, e no dey safe to buy hardware wallet from marketplaces like jumia. The best option na to buy directly from the manufacturer, the shipping fit take small time, but that one no suppose worry you.
it better to spend a few days waiting to get wetin sure to ne authentic and guaranteed say inno dey tampered since it coming from the direct source than to go get am for marketplace like jumia wey even some  home made products the even get delivered looking tampered.

Thank you for the list it really helped. But now e don give me more options and I read somewhere say Trezor nor dey airgapped
I nor know if e nor mean
Trezor no be airgapped hardware wallet, but it is very safe to use hardware wallets that are not airgapped, just make sure say e dey open source. Examples of airgapped hardware wallets na: Coldcard, Passport, etc.
Between the airgapped hardware wallets and the open source hardware wallets me I prefer the former because in no get anything to do with online but completely offline unlike the latter wey some of them for her some online connectivity wey fit expose the wallet to last minute hack.

Be like many people still dey use Trezor
I dey barely see who dey use the others and I nor even know how their prices be.
Trezor Safe 3 is a good hardware wallet. It is a Trezor wallet that has secure element. The secure element is open source, unlike Ledger Nano secure element which remain close source. Trezor Safe 5 also is a good hardware wallet. I can not recommend Ledger Nano because of their online means of sending parts of the seed phrase. The seed phrase can be sent to companies for backup which also give government power in legal issues to seize your coins. Which means Ledger are doing something that may not later give your full control over your coins if you back up the seed phrase with the companies. Also Ledger Nano is not offline as it can send the seed phrase to the companies online.

The best hardware wallets that I like are airgapped. They remain completely offline as you are using QR code with them instead. The best that I prefer is Foundation Passport which you can use with Sparrow if you prefer to use QR code for making transaction. Keystone is also a good hardware wallet.

I go need to do more research Trezor before I answer but before then Charles-Tim, Igebotz and CB go don see this thread and give their opinions. I know say Charles-Tim been dey active for that particular thread.
I saw the topic but I was busy not to reply early. I appreciate how you also mentioned my name so that I can see the thread.

Okay like the title stated
I want to buy an hardware wallet and though Trezor and ledger have been shown not been the best in the forum
I think Trezor is stated to be better
Where can I get a Good one that hadn't been compromised?

I found out that jumia has ledger, has anybody tried getting an hardware wallet from them?

If you ain't using the above, you can help recommend others and Where it could be gotten
Thanks.
I don't know about any physical place yet to get what you want due to location difference but you can buy Ledger or Trezor hardware in Nigeria from various sources like a reputable and well known electronics retailers, just to be safe, but the best option is to purchase directly from the official websites of Ledger or Trezor.
This is to be sure you get the real thing  and there might be free shipping and perhaps some kind of warranty benefit added.

You can also visit e-commerce platforms like Jumia, Ubuy, Amazon, but you also need be cautious of third-party sellers and over inflated prices.
I know that Amazon might have some sellers that can ship directly to Nigeria, but the issue you might face may revolve around import fees or the cost of shipping the hardware to you.

I never buy hardware wallet before but Trezor na very popular wallet and na good choice. To be safe, I go recommend you to buy from the company direct or their official websites to avoid tampering of the wallet. You fit find this topic useful amongst others for general board:

LIST] Open Source Hardware Wallets

How do you buy a hardware wallet from unsupported location
Thank you for the list it really helped. But now e don give me more options and I read somewhere say Trezor nor dey airgapped
I nor know if e nor mean

particularly noteworthy is the strict focus on open source.
Note that the secure element is not open source. It's just a regular secure element. Pretty funny coming from the company that spent the best part of the last 10 years saying how closed source secure elements are a security risk and secure elements are unnecessary, while sweeping under the rug their unfixable seed extraction vulnerability.

It also isn't airgapped and still needs connected to the computer with a USB cable, and it also seems like you still have to enter any passphrase on the computer and not on the device itself, which remains a large security risk.

So all in all, this just looks like a rebranded Trezor One. Pretty disappointing to be honest, and still far behind some other hardware wallets on the market.

See the quote above, especially on their latest Trezor 3.
