I think the best step for now is to invest in crypto, because we have done the strong depression already, so the market now is willing to be up rose.
Please check last year graph while 2017 January ethereum peice less than 10$ then after ripple even few cents . So its better to invest on technologies if your invested in some popular tehnologies like NEO , TRX, EOS, IOST , NEM no need to worry about . You can relax until some time because these platforms . I mean mainet has to release and start to use lots of blockchain technologies.
Not now yet, still waiting for the market to go down more, because it is still a little bit uncertain that it was grown few and then started to go down (the whole market system).
It's not a problem if you use "spare" money to invest, because crypto price will eventually go up again.

I rather started selling to begin this year and i was shocked that the market really went down for so long, but during the downside of the market I bought many alts like eth, neo and omg. I also bought xvg about a month ago and it seems that it went well.
I invested earlier this 2018 and my strategy is to buy as many of my well researched coin while it is still cheap, plain old accumulating and buying the dip hopefully I get enough holdings until the next bullrun comes. I bought some coins below ico price. 😊
I invested earlier this year but I sincerely regretted that decision because not too long after I bought bitcoin when it was at $17,000, it started dropping till today it has never gone back to it's initially state. If I had waited a bit, to understudy the trend properly, I would have bought it when the price dropped and HODL. But that wasn't the case. But I think if one buys now, he would not regret his decision because the price has really dropped.
I also invested earlier this year, which is very bad. My money has shrunk by 60% compared to that in January. Fortunately, I didn't borrow money to invest. maybe 2018 is the correction year of cryptocurrency. the hype of cryptocurrency on december 2017 was causing this.

if you talk about the price now go down then if that are good for investing now or not i think even it's go down still it so high this january 2018 and it's 2x high compare to january 2017 so i go for investing if you ask me because i see in past december 2017 price of bitcoin go really high that we can't imagibe actually i buy 0.03 btc only now and i'm confused too but we need to move forward so think the possible that can happen like my 0.03 btc can turn to 0.1 btc

Markets are hard to predict. I do not think they will rise sharply in the future; Perhaps this is a manipulation of the market, I have heard information about CMC is manipulating the market, they have cheated in announcing the price of the altcoin.
yes I invested in last month and see the price seems confusing and still no price increase,and may wait another few months I think this time is the right time to invest and expect prices to rise by the end of the year, and if it does not rise at the end of the year it will wait until next year maybe that's all it can do hold until the price rises rather than swallowing losses.
Guess ther wouldn't be many, market has been going down since January and this was mostly expected. No one could expect this hard of a fall but it was bound to happen after the ATH in December. It'll be getting better soon enough so HODL UP!

the last spring was a great time for investment, especially for those who managed to fix the profit in June at the peak of prices. and then buy again before august,when the BTC price was 2000$..
