Well, so far the market doesn't seem to be as enthusiastic about the ETF news as you since as we can see not only price didn't go up but it even came down a little. Don't get me wrong, I believe that we will have many bull runs in 2024 but we will also have a lot of disappointments because of the global economy (specifically recession) is terrible and it is affecting bitcoin market.

Bitcoin Etf approval brought joy to our faces, yes another win for bitcoin, then how much more would the next halving bring,  right now all I'm doing Is buying, I was DCAING gently before, but right now no one hold me, no more gentle buys, cause right now I'm pumped, I'm dancing for the bull run, I wasn't part of the last halving cause just recently started my bitcoin journey and I can't wait to brag about beign one of the next bull run partakers. It is not a win for the Bitcoin community because Bitcoin was meant to be a decentralized, P2P currency and over time it's becoming very centralized currency that's easily speculated, i.e. it's price gets easily pumped and dumped by those who have enough power. The last accident of SEC earlier twitter leak is a good proof of that, as the involvement and influence of BlackRock to get Bitcoin ETF accepted despite the fact SEC didn't want to actually approve it.
Bitcoin ETF approval was only good in terms of financial gains as it will attract billions of dollars over time. To be honest, it's hard to say whether halving will have a huge affect on Bitcoin's price or not because ETF should bring enough money to pump it up.

So far, maybe now is the price range we have been waiting for, of course we shouldn't miss it and to be honest, it is quite easy to invest in long-term BTC without being an ETF participant, we can also buy BTC, especially today.

Though everyone was expecting the price of Bitcoin to pump after ETFs approval and since the pump hasn't started yet, a good investor who has a steady income can start buying as much as he can afford now that the price is dipping because the dip simply implies an opportunity to buy and hodl more bitcoins as against the bull market which is expected some months from now after the halving. This dip is just an advantage for people that has been waiting for the price to dip a bit before they start buying. Already, I've hodl a lot of Bitcoins in my portfolio and am even still buying more weekly using the DCA, though I plan to stop buying when the price starts to skyrocket again I'll just leave the ones I've hodl already and prepare for the bull run.

You think this is the right time to buy Bitcoin, is like you are among those that missed the opportunity last year when the price of Bitcoin decreased to $18,976 that caused many investors to used the opportunity wisely to purchased huge amount of Bitcoin. I think, majority of investors are waiting for the bullish season to appear before they can start selling their Bitcoin to make income from their investment, which we know that bearish season has few weeks before the bullish will take place. Since you just started your Bitcoin journey in this new year, you can still buy Bitcoin, but it will be difficult for you to earn more than those that purchased early last year.

Don't be overwhelmed and begin to buy irrationally either because you have the feeling that the halving and bull run will turn things around for you since you missed the last halving. Remember not to close your life's savings on it with the hope that the bull run will come instantly after halving. There is a history of taking some time before the halving take effect so your investment should depend on how much longer you can wait so that you don't end up shooting yourself on the leg. Every investment should be with reason and target, so let your target be accurate and don't be too excited not to lose focus.

Well, having a price or an intuition works, speculation board, right? Smiley

In that idea, it is possible that the ATH will not be reached this year, but a price of +$60 will be tempting for many and that will influence a significant setback, which will become a buying opportunity.

That price of this year 2024 is crucial, since it is possible that we let's have a price "horrible" +$25k, but beautiful to buy.

We will have an exciting year, so be clear about your position, as selling can be an interesting option to find the "horrible". Wink

I'm not saying to give up your excitement about buying, that's always your decision. Although I am simply giving an example of speculation.

Well, it's not bad what you are doing but it would have been much better if you had done it when the price went down to $17K, not now when it is not so far from the highs. If the historical pattern repeats itself the price is not going to break above the previous ATH of $69K until the end of the year or next year, and you are going to see several ups and downs until then, so if that happens I hope you don't get desperate and sell. In any case, better to accelerate purchases now than when the price is much higher.

If I have not varied my DCA.

ETF here but some companies are selling their holding like For the first time in history, GBTC began systematically selling bitcoin. - https://protos.com/grayscale-bought-bitcoin-for-a-decade-then-became-its-1-seller-overnight/ Quote from bbc.reporter

So if you have ton of money right now you can do DCA but don't all in just my opinion

What you coin purchased is subject to profit, particularly if you buy Bitcoin. However, the growth or profit of altcoins may not be as substantial. Additionally, to earn significant profits in Bitcoin, a considerable investment is required due to its high price. Nevertheless, if your objective is to earn a profit by purchasing Bitcoin, it will certainly yield profits, but it may take a considerable amount of time, potentially exceeding one year, until the price reaches a new all-time high (ATH).
