Just to be picky, the correct question is "who is actually delivering miners". As we have seen with multiple companies, there is a HUGE difference between manufacturing and delivering to a paying customer.

We are now doing both. Manufacturing and delivering miners.

Right about the same story on my purchase experience.  Great communication until they get your money in their hand, then it gets spotty, if at all.

Upon arrival, my rig had 1 of 2 boards hashing.  swap cables around, and the other board hashes, while the first one stops.

-- Answer= the rig came short 1 USB cable and was not assembled correctly.  Once i took a serious look at it, and did some research on the controller board, i realized they had the USB power for the controller going to one of the boards instead of from the USB hub. was some kind of crazy daisy chain that didn't work.  A little QA would have gone a long way in this case, and most other cases. Once the boards both received their input from the USB hub, they both hashed at the same time.

During the troubleshooting of the 1 board hashing at a time issue, one of the boards blew a power supply chip.  My RMA time was 10 days, which is pretty good for a package going coast to coast and back again.

I stated to AMT that i wanted to get the MPP upgrade, BEFORE my rig shipped. 2 days later, i got an email stating it shipped the day before.  Rig still didn't get to me for another 2 weeks.

After i received my replacement board, no more of my emails have received replies.  I have asked numerous times about the MPP, via email, this forum and PM.  Not a single acknowledgement of my inquiries.  Nada, zilch, ZIP!

I still have a board in my rig with 15 of 16 chips that hash, but was worried i would never see a replacement if i sent it back to get a board with all chips in good working order.

So, even with $160 credit towards my next order(for a shipping refund from Fedex, which should have been returned to me, but was kept by AMT), i would not place another order with them.  Maybe if they made some kind of attempt to make good on the MPP, or even answered an email telling me something, anything, i may consider it.  But until then, they will not get another red cent from me, and i will continue to caution others about buying anything from them.

it's your money, but don't say you haven't had ample warning.  They may send you something, or they may not.  anybody's guess at this point.  That is not the confidence i want to see from previous customers when i'm spending thousands of dollars.

as for the S1, you'll have to go aftermarket for one, as BitMain does not sell the S1 any longer.  Looks they are only doing S1 upgrade kits, with a minimum order of 2.  Or you can go with the S3, which is basically the S1 with a factory installed upgrade kit.  Kit gives better efficiency and higher hashrate.

good luck man.  buy with your eyes open.

I say Joshua Zipkin, son of scammer Harrison Zachariah Zipkin, has just shot himself in the foot. When he deletes this post, it'll be posted at several other places. What a totally piece of shit this fuckin'(racial slurs removed) turned out to be.

All they need before starting to sale their device is to send in to someone for testing and review.

Not mandatory to Dogie.  Grin
Dogie has a nice guide (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/guide-dogies-comprehensive-manufacturer-trustworthiness-guide-1st-feb-2016-456691) where he talks about companies trustworthiness, a lot of those companies are currently making ASICs.

Agreed, Asicminer's BE200 is a pretty good chip. We've incorporated their boards into 2U casing, we'll release them next week.

Before you start selling stuff, you may wish to check your trust -- lots and LOTS of people have left bad feedback about you.   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=152891 and click on 'show ratings'.
