I am pretty sure that Satoshi was either from the future like PP mentioned or is L from Death Note.
i think an invented name like a working title from those coders who invented the BTC and now will be chased by the ECB.

Satoshi is a very cool dude...probably some mad genius. I like how he is secret and more legendary as a result.
