They aren't launching till June unfortunately. Hopefully some other major online (or offline) retailer will be taking bitcoins by June.

I used to use BitSpend for all of my online shopping. Hopefully Overstock.com will allow me to purchase more things online with bitcoins.

They carry most things I'd otherwise order off Amazon. Never shopped there before. I'm definitely open to paying a little extra there for the convenience (lets me go longer without needing to buy USD).

Everybody get ready to reward this company with business!

That said, how are the prices?

Whether they have "equivalent prices" or not we should all be shopping there for obvious reasons.

Lose the silly hangups and remember the big picture.

I've already purchased a number of things from overstock.com.  They will get more of my business in the future.

Definitely. We need Overstock to show other retailers bitcoins are worth taking.

Technology and Women. Amazing.
I make a point of shopping with and supporting any business that accepts Bitcoin as payment, even if I don't need the product in question or if it costs slightly more than buying the same product through a fiat-only store. Overstock will be no different. I'll find something there to buy! Recently placed an order with lollyphile.com for some lollipops, and I don't even have a sweet tooth. But %#&@ it, they accept Bitcoin, so they got $50ish worth of my business(or 0.08BTC). Cheesy

I feel it is important to let merchants know they that expand their client-base when they accept BTC.

I have shopped with overstock.com several times before and will be glad to do it with Bitcoins!  I want Bitcoins to take over the electronic payment world and more!

If they have anything good that I can buy with some matured BTC then yes.

I mean... If I spent $600 on a BTC in November and they are worth $1200 when I'm shopping on Overstock. Spending 1 BTC on a $1200 item would be like getting it for $600. And it would spur the adoption movement, making my other coins worth more.

It's almost unfair how easy it is.

I personally plan on spending some coins there, I think it will be awesome to be able to buy such a huge variety of things.  We all know the theory of a strong economy depends on spending.  Will you spend if there's a big availability to make purchases, or are you hoarding for future value?

from what I understand it will be dynamic pricing, as in the price is set against the current USD exchange rate.

Patrick Bryne is great though.
