Money is own and controlled by the government and the government can not be said to be a small group, money is use for general purpose such as to pay for good and services in the general public. The government own the monetary system but use by the public.

People (and organizations) have to produce something in order to earn some money. Governments can't just blindly print money. Otherwise, hyperinflation will turn in into nothing and completely destroy the economy of this country.

That shows that they can though, if they want to. Of course not many governments are as stupid as Zimbabwe's but you probably heard before how American politicians were accusing China of purposely devaluing the yuan to keep their exports cheap. Money is a tool of the state, we citizens don't really own it.

Whoever is allowed to print/create money from nothing "owns" money. In the US, they are the owners of the Federal Reserve. The US government has to beg the FED for funding. That means all politicians work for money.

"Who really owns money"? The real answer to this is: NO ONE ACTUALLY. Sometimes we forget money is just a colourful imprinted paper, that we all together agreed as means of trade and payment. Really, if we decide not to see it as precious, all those billionaires and the government will realise NO ONE ACTUALLY OWNS MONEY, at least the value 😁 Also remember, money goes in circle.

all they have to do is type some numbers into a computer screen.  The biggest scam ever.
Unfortunately, many people around this forum are strictly convinced that the economy of the country and global economy work like that.
Those people that owns the money are the government. Since, they are the maker of the money they are owning it. And they also have the power to disregard all the current money and turn it into other form. Like in Ph, they decided to give a new look to the money so, the government controls all of it.

Well the monetary system is a giant scam that is run by a small group.  These people essentially have unlimited money, all they have to do is type some numbers into a computer screen.  The biggest scam ever.

Some people like to see it as a scam but you can't deny that the current system has been efficient in circulating money to everyone. Banks, cash, fiat system, these in a way gives control to a few people over our money but we've depended most of our lives in thus system and a lot of us became successful as well despite all the negative aspects of it.

Oh hell, this is so simple. Be a salesman. Be great in negotiating with people. Be great in executing your objectives/goals and make the people help you achieve one goal. In short, have a leadership personality so money and power will be yours without anything you need to ask. I do understand your point about the people who would just type certain numbers and they will have the money. But if the other people were against them, do you think they will be able to do it? No. They have a great personality of leadership and they really deserve to have what they have today.

Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. They know they are in control and can do whatever they want, and they are doing it! Life is short, you either go for it or you don't. Given the above, I'm not amazed that the "owners of money" are creating secret societies, conduct meetings, manipulate the markets and destabilize governments.

Who are these people? Most banks are owned by another, bigger one. You have to follow the ladder to the top. The real question is: who owns the top ones. Who is pulling the strings of people like Jamie Dimon, Timothy J. Sloan, James P. Gorman, and those other faces, because they are nothing but faces, the real bosses are whispering from backstage.

this type of graph only offers a false sense of progress toward a singularity but by leaving out the diverging processes (such as Bitcoin / crypto / TransferWise etc.) Those companies listed may have merged, but many more competing companies have also been founded. The market as a whole has diverged.

May I ask who?

Well, throughout history, rich people always have the biggest pile of gold (money at that moment). Then the government issued a paper bill (dollar) which is backed by gold. At that time, rich people still own a considerable portion of the money and still feel safe.

The problem started in Nixon's era. Rich people then need to have control of the government to secure their wealth. It's not a scam per se, in my opinion, only an unfair system created because of corruption.

Governments own the money in circulation and I think governments is not a small group of people.  We are using the paper money because it is a legal tender and back by governments laws that makes us to believe in it and used it as medium of exchange of goods and services.

Lot of conspiracy theory available for money, the one I got understand and accept myself is that in 17th century the fiat money was forced to use by us and at the time it was backed up by gold but on later stages it is hidden from the common man and banks started to print money as much as they want and keeping us poor even we are earning more and more.

I don't think it's so simple really.
Money produce central bank and lends to commercial banks.
Commercial banks lends money to companies so that they an pay for services or products.
On the end, you receive your salary from the company, for the work you did for them and use this money to buy food, pay bills etc.
It's not perfect system, I agree but can you find something better?

of course, but thats how stable systems work, without that universities could not have reliable funding so they could do their research, capitalism started ones in europe with christian kings and queens, that funded stuff like education research and of course ship building.

without that we would have never achieved internet connectivity

Government isn't a small group but it's the one that regulates the whole country and runs everything. It's why for each country there's a central bank, I'm not a conspiracy theorist and even an economist but as long as you have the money, you own it.

But the gov't and world economy dictates on how much it would be depending on the economy's situation of your country and some world events like global financial crisis. As for the 'small group', are you pointing out the elites? they aren't small.
