There's not much peoples in the world that counted using bitcoin in real life, like buy something with bitcoin, accept salary, and many more.
But almost all peoples who knows bitcoin are use it for trading and investment.

There aren't any accurate estimations right now although we could probably guess a good info according to the BTC community we see here, There are plenty of US, Chinese and Russian users as well as few from all around Europe, Mostly males.. I guess this might make a great survey topic.

Hi I wonder about the demographics of bitcoin. Who uses it, race, location, gender?

I read the coindesk paper on it, but wonder if there is some other more updated documentation on it.

Regards
To be honest I do not make use of Bitcoin as an currency because I want to make money with it so I use it as an investment.
I am not sure if there are people who only use it as an currency.

People are using it in the both ways, but majority of users are treating it as an investment as it allows them to make profits from it and to use it as a currency is limited at a moment.

The investment aspect will most likely stay the main reason of why people use Bitcoin. Especially because of the fact that the need for Bitcoin as currency isn't really there. For me it's not really a problem since investors are needed as well. Without money from investors the price will not go up. Liquid markets are very important.

can't say it's a reliable survey if the survey were held through internet or online surveys, its can be faked by the respondent, different if bitcoinsinireland.com do an offline survey by inviting so many bitcoiners there
Hmm,i think the number above like lol,55-60 are just faked,i really cannot believe that we already have some
70 year's old using bitcoin network.it just dont seems possible for me lol.
It is a internet survey, the real result might be completely different.

Lol what do you think  of our granpaps?  Ancient that lives in a stone age?  Considering that they have the capability  to invest, and have more time reading stuff in the internet, they maybe earlier than you to adopt bitcoin.  Besides, before you they are the first one to use the internet.  I have my own experience interacting with 60+ years old that is member of this forum.

same with my friends we also started using bitcoin last year so we are at the age of 19 that is why i am really not surprised about that one the only thing that concerns me is the 71 years old haha just awesome.

I think that people who are not conservative are using bitcoin. What about statistics, I would prefer that all transactions were anonymous and no one can do statistics.
People from different countries are using BTC and the interest is growing.
Yes i agree to you.  But specifically, it was not proven who really that people are uses bitcoin, because for this we need to conduct different surveys. But for The only people uses bitcoin are the people that are  interested about bitcoin.

I am just searching on google and find that 80%  people of North America and Europe are using bitcoin around the world.Rest 50% from others region.
I think Bitcoin marketer also need to look others region how to get peoples interested about bitcoin.when Bitcoin uses around the world that would be great for Bitcoin users.

This thing would be possible  but  it would  took long time  to achieve as we all know  bitcoin is   not fully adopted yet  on some countries  and some  would have a hard time to understand  on the concept of bitcoin hence not  all people  do have  knowledge  on  online stuffs.  As far as  i know only <1% of  worldwide population uses bitcoin as of now.
well yeah, i think there is no need to do such thing then, because it is kinda impossible to find that out

Bitcoins are used a lot by people belonging to the younger age group about 18-30 years. Also, it is still used by people belonging to other age groups, but not as much due to the technology gap between generations. Also, I believe it's used more in developed countries and cities for purchases and sales, but in developing countries, it's mainly used for exchanges and remittances.

with all surveys going round I think the real users of bitcoins are the people who know how to use the Internet,  do some online shopping,  those who want to gamble anonymously and the alike
How did you get the survey of all users who really uses bitcoin where did you get your source? i think we can't count on how many people are really using bitcoin some of us are really using bitcoin to shop online because they want there information private and other privacy that they want to hide.

there is no any bitcoin marketers Dude.. bitcoin is a free currency now. it is being marketed by any person who is using bitcoin for any reason and purpose.
so if more people from amercia and europe using bitcoin it is because these countries are more advance than others and people over there are usually ready to accept and try new things.
and other region don't that much broadminded to use bitcoin. they think if they use bitcoin. if they invest there money into bitcoin they may loose their money.
BTW people other countries also getting involved in bitcoin.
(and don't forget china who have the largest bitcoin market)

Exactly. Only a few people from my surrounding know what Bitcoin is. People are too busy with everyday life to have time for learning unfortunately, that's why we need good coverage in the media, most people will never start searching the web for the info, they have many other things to do.
