I have seen many threads talking about should I sell now or wait till BTC moons. When I see these threads I marvel and move on to check on different topics or threads because I know the person doesn't know what he is talking about. Diving more into cryptocurrencies, when you sell now it means you are a coward and don't even know the kind of cryptocurrency you are dealing with. One thing is that, its really kinda pity to see those topics raised. I have set a goal and until that goal is not, I will never sell BTC and that's me.I want ask that is it because those selling the coin are newbies and are afraid of loosing some small $s or they haven't read much about bitcoin or the cryptocurrencies or they have low knowledge about the blockchain technology?

This is the spirit mate, you have said whats the foolish members here must learn that they should hold the coins until it recovers because if they sell to cut losses they only making the situation more dropping and many as well would lose with them,i believe that holding is the key to lessen the price drops and may stop the big investors to win agaisnt us small investors

Why sell your bitcoin when the price is low? Why do something in which you will lose? We are investing to earn. Its foolish to do something just to show to others you are not a coward

Currently no one wants to sell BTC because of its low price, most of them will keep and wait when the price is stable.

Now it is not the right time to sell bitcoins. And whosoever is saying so, trust me is doing under anxiety or panic of any upcoming future losses that may surround the market. The market will take some time to stabilize and that stabilization period will also not last any longer, trust me! So the smart strategy right now s to hold on and wait for a price rise. The period of that price rise may be short lived but it will certainly come. So just wait for that time period to come. No need to panic and fear out. Maintain your state of mind and keep calm in this situation of intensity.

In my own oipinion, I think that now is not the time to sell bitcoin but definitely not the time to buy bitcoin. Since the price of bitcoin as of now is somewhere just in the middle. For people and bitcoin users, it is still too high to buy some. Therefore, I would also not judge those people who sell their bitcoins now.

Well bro if you really need urgent money then selling now is a good option, but if aren't in urgency then I would recommend you to hold your Bitcoin. If you store it fo long term, then you would be searching me for giving kisses. Hahahahahahahaha.

Long term will surely give you more profit.

I personally believe the bitcoin will be growing in the future. The analyzers says that the bitcoin price will reach 25 lakh INR by the end of December 2018.

If you decide to sell your bitcoin and looking for further investment, Try distributing your money among different coins such as LTC, ETH, Ripple, IOTA, OMG etc

Aum…

Buying or selling of any asset be it Bitcoin, gold or equities is strictly an individual decision based on ones own finances or commitments, etc., as for as Bitcoin is concerned based on its volatality it can always go up or further down depending on various market dynamics.

actually what you are discussing is justification for yourself. I think everyone has a different perspective and knowledge even more in the crypto industry.
and now the decline is happening almost over 6 months elapsed. so anyway there will be a lot of panic going on. and I think the market will stabilize again but it takes a lot of time

Maybe for me is not the best time to sell because the price is down at this time. And I think it is the right choice to save my money. If those who are selling now may belong to them. Buying at a much lower price, expect a further decline as bear control over the market seems to widen from day to day.

I think someone who is in need of money and capital for their daily life.
In addition, people new to the crypto world, they will definitely sell bitcoin because of the panic effect of seeing the decline in current bitcoin values.
Maybe they have not mastered and have enough experience in the world of crypto, so they make sales at this time.
Over time, they definitely get good learning about the world of crypto and understand that bitcoin has great potential for them to earn income and profit someday.

I think that selling bitcoin now is those who experience "panic sell". These panicked people sell their coins without thinking. They just follow the issues and hear the news without analyzing the news in depth. It is very dangerous when we just follow the issue that circulate on most people. This panic will make us regret because it is certain have taken the wrong decision. It does not feel the loss now but in the near future, I'm sure that will regret if the price of bitcoin began to creep up and soar.

This is not an easy question since most people are selling people who are looking for quick earnings. They also sell those who lost hope in the prosperity and development of Bitcoin. Or those who really need money at the moment. But in essence, they are all losing now.

I don't think so that anyone sell now BTC on this price because last time some people sold and after it they much regret i think only people who need money or they have to full fill their personal needs only this condition that people sell BTC.

I don't think there is mass selling happening. Maybe at the begininig of this latest dump but now not anymore. Most of the users have accepted current situation and now are waiting what will happen next and how the price will move.
Anyway, those who are on constant fear of loss are selling always as well those who need fiat money. But remember that not every Bitcoin selling is bad, it depends on circumstances.

I think quite a lot is selling it now, maybe those who bought it at a lower price than now, will sell it now for fear of bitcoin going down even lower, but for those who buy when bitcoin prices are high enough, will definitely hold it until the price goes up much higher, because selling it now will only get big losses.
But this is Bitcoin's lowest price this year. Buying Bitcoin at a lower level is probably unbelievable. The market is not up yet due to new money flowing into.

Nah. Most weak hands have already sold their shares that's why there's not much of a steep sudden decline anymore. Perhaps some who are really in a hard situation sells their holdings every now and then.

I Think major sellers are miners, trying to squeeze out their profit to buy new hardware /operation before the are swept away but this low price.
Some people are celebrating the strongly increasing hash rate of #Bitcoin. Difficulty skyrocketed  in the last months, it is now almost 5 times higher thank start of the last rally ( Oct ‘17 was 1e ^12 now well over 5e^12). This makes network way more secure, but this might be a sign that the bear market will continue for quite a while.
When the price increases, hash rate cannot follow very quickly. This means that the miners make a big profit and only a small fraction of the mined bitcoin are enough to cover their costs. (Electricity, mainly). Thus, they don't need to sell all new bitcoin and can hodl.
When the hash rate slowly adjusts to the increased price, the margins start to decrease and more bitcoin must be sold to cover the costs for mining. The price pressure increases.
Assuming a constant absorption rate measured in $, the price will start to decrease until an equilibrium is reached. This is only possible when the hash rate does not increase anymore (or increases only due to better and not more hardware).
In this sense, the premise made by @saifedean that you cannot increase the supply of Bitcoin due to increased mining is violated in the short term. Not more bitcoin are produced but more are forced onto the market.
In this current difficulty boost  lot of miners are getting less and less reward from their now quite obsolete hardware (Avalonminer 741, mainly) so they are selling all the mined co ma to pay for new hardware and amortise current one.
Thus, I expect the bear market to end when we don't see any more substantial increase in hash power and the price goes sideways for a few weeks.
