I drank raw milk all my life, I grew up on a dairy farm.

It is healthier?

Or it is gross evil and made you die?

Or neither?

This has now actually officially turned into a discussion about milk  Grin

That would be silkroad's best defense, that it has a compelling legitimate
The best defense it that there is nothing wrong with trading drugs
Well, yeah, I guess I'll just wait for the DEA to disband, that sounds feasible.

I'm not making a moral argument, just a legal one.

Have you heard of "lactose intolerant" people? These are normal people who get sick from consuming cow milk. The rest of us have adjusted to handle it.
They're just people who's ancestors didn't domesticate cows and goats.

Humans are supposed to eat vegetation (that we forage), meat (that we kill) and, eggs (that we steal from nests). Instead we are eating processed foods, animals milk, and whatever other processed bull shit they sell these days.
We're "supposed" to consume whatever gives us energy to survive. If drinking milk doesn't make you ill then you owe your existence to domesticated animals; milk saved enough of your ancestors' lives to make a difference to your DNA. You could make the same argument against cooked meats and all forms of grain, fire and farming are human inventions.

Anyway, human breast milk is so much healthier for a human than cow milk. Cancer patients love it.
If human milk tasted nice to adults the species would be extinct, which is why it tastes like crap. This is also why most animals are lactose intolerant (yeah, believe it or not milk is bad for most adult cats), adult humans can only drink milk because of the domestication of animals.

The best defense it that there is nothing wrong with trading drugs, free trade is human right just like free speech and it's not a damn business of some hussein obama or george bush and their henchmen what peaceful people do with their own bodies and property.

Not to disrupt all the pro/anti-raw milk talk, but what about silkroad?

I mean seriously, nothing is stopping people from using silkroad just like e-bay to sell completely legal shit, but for BTC.

That would be silkroad's best defense, that it has a compelling legitimate function, it would also help bitcoin PR if the big bad evil was selling slightly used tickle-me-elmo along side the hash and meth.

+1, with another +1 for making me giggle.

Anyway, only babies should be drinking breast milk. Adults should drink water.

Milk is 85% water.

Lactose intolerance is due to a missing enzyme in the gut, lactase. So its a deficiency in humans that causes this, it is NOT something wrong with the milk.

No kidding? I thought that's what I said.

A human is not designed to break them down properly.

The story on this is back a few thousand years in our evolution, a mutation in the gene caused some humans to have the enzymes to break down cow milk proteins. It was an adaptation through mutation, not a modern day deficiency. It helped humans survive back then, which is why the gene is still present today.

Or neither?

It definately tastes better.

But I think neither healthier nor worse, maybe some more vitamins, but also maybe some more germs.  So it has to be clean and fresh, I wouldn't drink it after a week in a grocery store's shelf.

Same here - sterilize a container then take it straight from the vat.

It is healthier?

I would think the opposite, but I'm not really equipped to answer that question. I know it's a metric fuckton creamier, which I would logically conclude means "fattier" - but I don't know if that's inherently unhealthy.

FWIW I don't think people would need to be selling breast milk on Silk Road because I don't believe the selling of breast milk is regulated. If it is, it's not really enforced - people in the "lactivist" crowd do it all the time... if for some reason they can't breast feed, and don't want their kid to drink the evil nestle formula they simply buy it on the open market.

Maybe it is breast milk or something weird like that.
There was a show on NPR where people were eating breast milk cheese.  It made me want to stab myself in the face.

It really is a strange time we live in when consuming milk from animals is considered more normal than breast milk.

Human milk is animal milk.

Supermarket conventional "Milk" isn't Milk at all.  This pasteurized Milk is about as close to Raw Milk as Cheese is.  When you modify it in such a fashion it's no longer Milk.  It also kills off almost all the beneficial enzymes and nutrients.  Humans could literally live off Raw Milk since it contains virtually everything you need to maintain a healthy body.  Theres a reason babies who breast feed are many times more healthy and resistant to disease and such.

The only reason milk is pasteurized is to make it last longer so big milk producers rake in more profit and hide the horrible conditions of both cow and milk in mass production facilities.

The question on my mind is, though:

Where did the rennet come from?

'Cause, you know, it's supposed to be specific to the animal...

FUD is right !! A quick search on google and you'll find that breast milk can transmit AIDS.

Here are two glasses of milk. One is from an unknown person. The other from an unknown bovine. Drink up !
