The reason is that, they are just interrelated to each other. Though bitcoin is far from ethereum when it comes into price basis but we could think that bitcoin is the only thing that boost ethereum to grow fast and be recognized in the community.

One of the reasons of this phenomenon is that you can't exchange most of the altcoin directly to a local currency since the one accepted is the bitcoin. You must first convert your money(local currency) to bitcoin before you can buy an altcoin. I believe if the exchange is direct (local currency to altcoins), altcoins would not be affected anymore by bitcoin price.

This happens due to the fact that BTC is the main currency in the calculation of cross-rates. In addition, it has the largest capitalization among cryptocurrencies. That is why fluctuations of BTC affect other market participants.

Yes, it was the case of the last big drop but this is not often the case .
If you would research the history of market, you would see that there are many instances when BTC is drooping and ALTS are going up.

Moreover I think that there is a correlation : when btc is stable alts are growing.

Because it's the first, the reference, the "father" and a trust index of the crypto-world.
More than that, the pairs on the exchanges are mostly based on the BTC.

I think the bitcoin is a reference value. this could explain why a decline in bitcoin leads to a decline in other altcoins

Although most of some altcoins are independent they are all relying on each other because of their similarities. Bitcoin is the case why the market even exists. All other altcoins were made on the similar principles the Bitcoin was made on. A situation in the crypto market is very labile and a little fluctuation of the coin with the biggest value (BTC) can shake the holding structure of the other altcoins that are beneath that structure.

Supply and demand are also unstable so when the little correction starts people are always cashing our their loveable portfolio of the crypto coins in the panic. Some worldwide regulations are shaking the crypto industry and that can be sensed with all the coins that ain't connected with the technology standards but are connected because their similar technology that is suitable for the different purposes.

I am trying to understand why altcoings are fall. Is there any way to see altcoin prices independent from Bitcoin? If demands are get higher for an altcoin while Bitcoin falls, do you think altcoin will get more value. I am newbie and trying to understand.
Altcoin is independent from Bitcoin but you should think all the coins value are described in USD/BTC. So Bitcoin value is down in market automatically some other altcoins values are down and also some other altcoins are raise. Because it is depends on the demand. If any problems are affected in market some investors are exchange the coin. This is reflected in the cryptocurrency value. You are in newbie so you should analyse the complete strategy of cryptocurrency.

both of them connected each other. Connection algo is different then other investing commodities.
BTC is the king and alt coins are soldiers so firs alt coins falls then bitcoin follows. this like chess.

There are two factors in this.

One is that altcoins are denominated in terms of BTC, so when USD/BTC goes down so does Alt/USD = (Alt/BTC)/(USD/BTC) = (Alt/(BTC/USD))/USD by virtue of BTC/USD increasing.

The factor is that altcoin prices tend to adjust in terms of USD. When Bitcoin goes down, altcoins adjust their BTC price to a point where they remain roughly the same (give or take 10-30%) in terms of USD.

I also think that this is strange, I thought that all the altcoins depend on the price of ETH. Could it be the overall market capitalization?

Altcoin will get more value if they can get high demand as bitcoin have but if not of course it wont be happen anyway. Altcoins goes down only if bitcoin get increase but this time while Bitcoin down the altcoin also goes down maybe because people sell more with altcoins too or maybe many are buying bitcoin with alts too.

True but as shared bitcoin is being bought with a lot of altcoins. For investors this is the best time to buy at the dip and many people want to have bitcoins

Because bitcoin still the main cryptocurrency so everyone see from bitcoin price.i don't think it's a good idea to buy bitcoin with altcoin when the price down. Since it will doing similar when the bitcoin rise the other altcoin will rise too and the opposite. If you wanna know the altcoin prices you could open marketcap price from Google its complete page about their prices and there is a chart of growth.

Because bitcoin is the boss of all the other coins. It does not matter if it's tokens or coins, it's just that there's a strict BTC / coin (token) binding on the stock exchange, that's why I think there was such a situation with the fall and take-off, but I think that in fact, the drop and growth is very difficult to explain
